Dollar Mobile

Unfortunately this app is worthless. Even on my large S10+ screen, you cannot press any of the buttons reliably. Once I got "Privacy Policy" to work, but then couldn't get back. You can tap, press, hold, or squeeze any button on the home screen, and 99.9% of the time, not a damn thing happens. It appears to have been designed by 2nd-graders, and will do nothing but frustrate you with its futility. It's hard to imagine that they couldn't hire someone who knew how to make an actual working app.

Now that there is a perma-link in the middle of the app directing you to "try our new test mobile site" the app is useless. It rarely registers touches on the screen. Scaling has always been poor, however it was managable for me. I however couldn't imagine having poor eyesight and trying to see anything in the app.

Do not waste your time. I read all the other negative reviews, but they were over a year old. I figured, heck, maybe it works now. I have a Dollar reservation, so thought I'd give the app a try. No dice. Doesn't function on my S10. You can view the main screen, but that's it. None of the buttons work. Clearly having functioning app is not important to Dollar, so don't waste your time installing this thing. Would give zero stars if I could.

Nonfunctional period, one of the worst apps I've attempted to use. Dollar is supposed to be a major rental car organization. This should be embarrassing but at least the app allows the user to click on the web url link to go to their really horrible web site. Dollar, spend the money on a quality site and you'll find better business rewards.

The app doesn't work properly. None of the links work. I had to uninstall the app and go to the website to make a reservation. I love renting cars from this company. You will have more customers if a more user friendly, fully functional app is designed.

Worthless app. Only option is to connect to mobile website. The app does NOTHING; really, nothing. It doesn't even let you identify a reservation or book a new one. It ONLY provides a link to the website.

The app is useless. Forget the small print (and I have great eyes), the pop up in the middle of the page won't go away. They want you to use the link to make your reservation on a webpage. But the link doesn't work! Laughable.

As an IT professional this app offends me. Terrible app. High school students could do better in a lab. Very difficult to navigate. useless. I want to login to my Express account and update that profile. Why isn't that available? your website is lacking a quality touch as well but at least it works. Why would you release such a horrible burden on us? Uninstall and use website...

Not very user friendly. Small, unzoomable font. The rolling calendar is terrible, a standard calendar would be much more user friendly.

Doesn't work out all on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I can't seem to understand why Dollar having seen the other bad reviews has not fixed their app. At this point, don't bother to install it on your phone. Dollar makes a great leap forward by how they do business but then this. Really!!

Worst app I have ever tried. It doesn't work -- plain and simple. It appears it is low priority for Dollar to fix or upgrade it. I tried it about a year ago, and it didn't work then.

Your mobile app is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE. Don't you read your reviews? How does such a large company behave in such an unprofessional way? I travel for a living, and really like Dollar otherwise, but seriously, customers today have a very real expectation of being able to interact with companies on a mobile device. That's because, guess what, they're traveling. This is just silly.

Wow, why can't members use our Express # to sign in? It's not that hard to design a great app and improve user experience.. and hence business. It's too bad you missed the opportunity to knock this out of the ballpark.

Just noticed I can use again on my android (doesn't send me to beta webpage anymore) but still has a long ways to go. Says I'm not logged in but doesn't provide me a way to log in. Can't zoom in to read the tiny print. And won't rotate screen.

Can't press anything on the screen and it's trying to reroute to some test app. Don't download does not work at all.

Use the website on a browser. This app is absolutely awful. Embarrassing UI, no features or functionality. Should have read reviews before downloading.

Literally none of the buttons does anything. Just the opening screen. Zero functionality.

One of the worst apps I ever used. Not an app. Web app for small devices that is a piece of garbage. Tried to do update to reservation with no luck.

Horrible app on Android. Small unresponsive unusable. You'd think they don't want you to rent from them. Ever. So frustrating.

i use android v9 and installed this app. Unuseable. the app freezes and guides u to use their web site. Terrible app. Same problem with Thrifty Rentacar app as both are owned by same co and are using same app.

It's April of 2020 and as of the date writing this, your portal in the play store says the last time this app(I have a hard time calling it that) was updated was a year ago, April of 2019. So, you don't employ anyone to review the comments? People have been saying for, well the moment you launched this pathetic excuse of an app the problems and you've ignored them. It's like a free focus group; heed our advice and fix this; meanwhile we'll be renting from non-Hertz subsidiaries.

micro font; can't get to "book now" button after you have entered in your info because it doesn't respond to keyboard enter button; needs upgrade desperately

Tried renting a car and couldn't even click on anything to begin the rental process. Beyond me why a respectable company would release an app that's unusable.

Why do they even have an app. It doesn't work. The app has a banner over all the menus and it just takes you to a website. Uninstalled!!!

The app doesn't link to reward account. It is a terrible user interface and extremely glitchy.

I saw the rating and thought to myself... "nah, that can't be". So then I downloaded the app and proceeded to attempt a reservation. Yep. It is. The app is entirely worthless.

Garbage app. Can't read the Small print and links don't work. USELESS.... DO NOT DOWNLOAD! NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR!!!

If i could give 0 stars i would. This app is garbage. Nothing works. The website is just about as bad. I'll never use dollar rental again. Review their technology before you rent.
