Dolphin Emulator

The team did a great job porting this emulator on Android. On my phone, Xiaomi 9T Pro, I tested two games, Wii and GameCube, and performance was smooth. It's too bad the configurations are a bit limited compared to the desktop version, especially the profiles for gamepad mapping, and there's no easy way to map gyro.

After using the emulater on a more capable phone. (Samsung S22) The quality of emulation and speed is amazing. It's like having a gamecube on the go. Of course I haven't tried that many games only Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes but after adjusting some easy to find settings they run perfectly other than a few hitches that is just the phone hitting it's limit and nothing else.

It's just so BAD! the first few moments of using it was OK. It was about 30 fps (still bad) but at least it was still playable. THEN it decides to drop to FIFTEEN fps leaving the game on basically slomo. It's so annoying. I tried watching videos, changing LITERALLY all my settings cause apparently that works. But no. Just stuck at 15fps. If this doesn't get fixed I'll just use another emulator instead of this rubbish

I'm honestly not sure how this can emulate Wii motion controls but if trauma center is anything to go by it doesn't. GameCube games play well enough but the music and sound could be a bit better. But that being said it's a solid emulator for mobile devices as far as GC games go. I'm on Motorola so maybe that might have to do with it. If so let me know.

this emulator is optimal compared to a lot of emulator on android. I don't get frame drops, audio stuttering and most graphical problem that I would find on other emulator. the problem is, on Wii the IR pointer and motion related stuff is basically unusable unless you bought the Wii remote or maybe use an external controller. even with an external controller the IR pointer can't be used properly because the app is just wont let me point to stuff without the pointer suddenly disappear or stutter

"failed to submit command buffer" keeps popping up. I've been scouring forums regarding settings on the game itself amd the main settings of the app. Most forums post about the pc version, not the mobile/android version of the app. It would be nice to have some actual feedback for the android version, and updates to keep up with the pc version and its respective resolutions. The game keeps crashing, yet Im playing on an S22 Ultra, 12GB ram and 256GB.

Can run slowly and have choppy audio, although I can deal with that. But for Wii games, there's no way to use the sensor part as you would when moving the Wii remote around. Meaning that any game that you use the sensor to progress even slightly is unplayable as there's no option to do so unless you connect an actual Wii remote. It's extremely dissapointing that such a key feature of the Wii wasn't added to the emulation as most Wii games use it. Please fix this.

Ive had an amazing experience with this emulator, its ran almost all gamecube games at their orginal fps. Certain games require hybrid ubershaders to run properly; my phone can handle this as it has greatly improved game performance, but it frequently crashes and doesnt allow me to start games until turning it off. The emulator is amazing especially considering its running on my phone, all it needs is a fix to this glitch and it will run so well i wont notice its not running on the gamecube.

I'm currently playing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and I'm hating my experience with this emulator. The game is running slow and the audio is just... TERRIBLE. It also happened with Metroid Prime. It's so unfortunate that this is the only Gamecube and Wii emulator on the Play Store because it's TERRIBLE. Please fix this.

Played great until it didn't. I'd reach a certain point and then the game would stop opening. All I'd get is a black screen and forced stop message. This happens even after I uninstall and restall.

So this emulator can run GameCube roms and wii roms, but not perfectly for my phone. I tried to run Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 on GameCube, and it has not worked so well. There were glitches, sound problems, and the quality was a kinda off. I searched and looked up how to fix these type of problems, but nothing has helped. Can someone tell me or show me how to fix this? I wanted to revive my childhood with this, but until then, this I'd getting a 2 star. Pls fix these issues or help me pls pls pls

Amazing app for reliving old games again, Does take some adjustments but that depends on your phone. I would say if you can bring in an autosave or quicksave feature if possible abit like drastic.

I used to enjoy this emulator on Android devices but now I am having a problem. I really only use this app to play gamecube games and now I can't use the Gamecube BIOS anymore. Can you add a feature that brings back the Gamecube Menu. It doesn't make any sense that there is a way to download the Wii menu from the internet and not the Gamecube menu.

Good emulator. Lately though it keeps crashing and I can't use it. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've been playing Paper Mario TTYD and it worked amazingly up until a few days ago. Please fix. I loved it up until now. :/

This emulator doesn't work for me I'm on the Samsung S22 Ultra. It keeps saying the app has an error and I should wait for the developers to fix it. I've read several comments of other people playing on older devices than mine with no problems and even seen a YouTube video of a guy playing it on the S22 ultra. please fix ASAP 🙏

Edit: updated to 4 stars (was 1), dev responded with a work around, hopfully others see it, specially reddit It installs in the Data folder which u cant touch, due to android 11 and 12 updates, u cant access the Data folder files and thats where this installs, I cant delete or put a GC save file on both pc and directly on android, wish it would install in root, this makes it very annoying to continue my save files

Hello, I request the developers to add a multiplayer feature in the Dolphin emulator to increase the fun of playing. I hope to reply as soon as possible and it's in Nickelodeon unite game when you want to play and activate EFB TEXTURE option and EFB RAM option black screen appears blocking play please fix this problem too

Great emulator. People complained about games not loading after playing them for a while then reinstalling the app. I had this problem but changed from OpenGL to falcon or one of the other graphics fixed this.

Solid. I have run into multiple disc-read errors, certain textures not loading, as well as games just failing to load and the app crashing. Also, I get stuck at certain points in Wii games because it requires motion control from the nunchuck, something that is just not an option for motion control movement on the controls. It gives me the option to bind controls to different inputs, but I'm unable to do anything with that. Maybe a button to toggle between Wiimote and nunchuck motion control?

Amazing how far this emulator has come, on SD888 everything runs 100% speed at 720P as a minimum resolution. Only thing I wish we had was L and R buttons to allow mapping of both analog and digital like the PC version has. Edit: would be nice to have the ability map L and R analog separate from digital

It runs games really well, but you do have to invest a little time configuring settings to run better with each device. Newer/higher end phones will run games way better than old ones, but I think that's a given.

I really like this app,i play resident evil 4 using this, but there's a lot of room for improvement, sometimes automatically closing and cannot run again when i open, i need to uninstall and re-DL again, and sometimes laggy but sometimes smooth ... I hope you can fix this problem please 😃,

I know everybody has a lot of pain in a$$ because of crashes and sometimes you need to save it just to go back all we want is no crashes,no bug,no audio breaking thats all we want now if you fix the crashes one that would definitely be perfect we dont care about audio problems,controller especially the bugs you need to fix that too

Runs certain games on lowest settings kinda fine on Moto G9 Plus. (Snapdragon 730G, 4GB ram, O/S 11.0) I can run Metroid Prime (here and there slowdowns, but not gamebreaking), as well as Conflict Desert Storm 2. Split screen is too taxing for my phone, but quite nice that it is capable of running. Does it better than MMJR forks.

Really I wanted to give a 4.5. If they could somehow fix the shutter problem on the larger games like metroid and beyond good & evil (which technically isnt there fault, its runs a little better by putting the shader compilation mode on skip drawing), this would be a pefert emulator otherwise!

It's the only GameCube/Wii emulator on Android, and it just works. In some games it might run slow but that's just how emulation is. To use controllers you have to manually bind keys for it to work.

I really want to make a Mii but I cant download the "Online System Update" because it says I need an internet connection and even if I have it turned on it and it didn't work, and I picked all regions and still it didn't work, I even restarted my device and nope it was still the same. Edit: Are you guys working on a performance update because my games are kinda slow.

I wanna give this a perfect 5 stars, but I 2 problems. First one is small, but let me use the some of my VRAM on my S22. Second, and honestly the true reason why its 3 stars. Well nobody has been able to get the Wii emulator to work properly with the controls, that required a sensor. The sensor bar makes it so I can't play Metroid Prime Trilogy on my phone...

Overall a very solid emulator. Absolutely good enough to use and enjoy. I have had some issues, some of which have been fixed since I originally wrote this. primarily I had some major issues loading GameCube games I had played before with the GPU engine set to open GL, these were resolved by switching to Vulkan however. I'd really love to see support for online using wiimmfi. Overall great emulator, I still get a kick out of playing Wii games on the go. definitely recommend if you can run it.
