Don't Starve: Pocket Edition

I really do like this game, but the mobile controls become problematic as you advance in the game. I played this first on android and enjoyed it so much I got it on steam but as a result got even more frustrated with the the mobile controls. Its a game that requires precise actions for success that are difficult on mobile so be aware of that. I don't think you will regret the purchase but there are better platforms if you have them and better games if you don't.

Darn I wish I could give it 5 stars. But it's really frustrating when you make it 99 days and then your game screen becomes unresponsive in the middle of a conflict or crisis and then you lose. This bug has been around for awhile and it's pretty annoying it still hasn't been fixed yet. Please fix this if you can.

Its totally worth the money. Great art style and soundtrack. A great survival game with customizable world settings for those who wanna either play it easy or hard. Different characters for different play styles. Its a proper videogame with no microtransactions. I really hope they update it to be like the PC version. Refuelable magilluminescence, bundling wrap would be nice. EDIT: We got bundling wrap now ,AWESOME!!!

This is a great game. Downloaded few years back, and got it uninstaled . Downlad again this april '22 just for ol time sake. The controls, menus, items.. changed into an xbox layout. Really?? This is a mobile version, i know. If i dont get pinpoint accuracy build structures that's fine by me but hey.. xbox ctrl layout? Really? Im in the middle of a rain forest. Really dev???

Great Port just wish there was multi-player like don't starve together. I have played don't starve on pc since the release and have always enjoyed it. Looking forward to multi-player to be able to play with my sister again after years. Thanks Klei entertainment, for the great games that helped make my teenage years better!

I had only had the chance to play a few minutes of the console version. Im glad i tried the mobile game for myself. I was almost detered by the reviews of others. I have had no real problems with UI.

every one that dislikes it probably didnt play the pc version through development early access in steam. entire game can be played with just a mouse but they did controller support right on mobile. excellent. summer go to caves

Great game, absolutely lovely. The game is slightly buggy, I play with a controller, and when I open the app, and (while on the app) I connect or disconnect the controller, the app always stops, but it's a minor thing, I just have to close the game, and maybe close and open the game 2-3 times. It's a minimal bug.

Good port all around, only problem i have had is the button registry seems to move sometimes (push button and it hits the button above where you pressed) making it hard to manage inventory, also the ui could use some tweeks to make it more intuitive and user friendly (click instead of drag-drop maybe?)

Love Don't Starve, only issue is the UI of the game. Dragging and dropping not accurate to finger on screen, really bad scrolling of the toolbar and crafting menu(slow and unresponsive). No dedicated button to exit Toolbar/Crafting UI and also joystick randomly appear when toolbar/crafting menu is opened.

I absolutely love this game (on console) here, not so much. I am amazed at the amount of the game that is here, first thing I did was hunt down a Maxwell's door. Unfortunately I couldn't get anything done because of the controls. I can't even manage to hunt butterflies consistently it's a great game and I hope that they can figure out a better way to optimize it for mobile I'd love to take it everywhere I go.

Recent update has made the game unplayable; constant crashing when booting up the game and huge lag spikes occur when loading worlds, whatever you did, please revert it immediately, cloud saving was not worth this.

It's overall an amazing game and I've had no problems so far... other than loading and it gets me sad that I can't fully watch Wilson's cut scene when I open the app because of it. (It's not just that though. Sometimes when it saves it lags, but that might just be for me) and it'd be nice if you could edit the control options. Good game though.

I'm glad it is tomobile I love it on console to there's much to explore and is easy to control I am looking toward you guys adding a way to play multiplayer if ever, but anyway the only downside is I don't know how to get new characters

Honestly, I thought it translated very well into a mobile game. I haven't had it freeze up or anything, and the controls for everything work fine. Stop whining guys, sheesh.

I enjoy this game. The game js good for people who love survival games and has many new things for you to find on every playthrough. I hoe that they release a don't starve together game for mobile but i will wait.

Takes 45 seconds to load the Intro movie and 35 more seconds to load the Overview. On the lastest flagship phone from Google. Someone screwed up big time.

Amazing game, really love it on console but it's also really good on mobile...I would've given it 5 stars but the buttons are kinda small but it's on mobile so ofcourse their gonna be small. Other than that it's a great game!!! :D

Crashing, sent an error report so I will give klei some time to respond with a possible fix. If it works I will gladly change the rating to 5*s. I have the PC version so I'm hoping they can fix this for me. *Update* works perfect here's your 5

the game isnt working properly it freezes and i can only press buttons when my mouse is in a weird place on the screen like when i try to press the collect button i need to put my mouse near my inventory and the button lights up????? fix or give me a refund

Unable to play, after first cut scene the world just rotates. As if you had a stuck joystick..... I'm not using a joystick

It's a good game, but the controls are clunky, and don't seem to be designed for a mobile device such as a phone. That really needs to be fixed

the game on PC is great. I played this port for about 5 min, and I refunded, because of an annoying feature. If you try to tap something to pick it up, but it is withing an inch of the moving wheel, it assumes you are trying to move. That may not sound too bad, but it is a whole inch. That is big for a phoen screen. You can make the moving wheel smaller, but, infuriatingly, that doesn't really change the hitbox of it. If you aren't annoyed by this, you will probably enjoy the game.

I love this game with all of my heart. and the lore is absolutely amazing if you don't have don't starve together this will keep you busy for a long time. ( Also now whenever I play as Wilson I immediately think of Wilson from cast away

My worlds is deleted regularly. When I enter the adventure mode, game is closed and I lost my progress which is 157 days!!! Then, i founded another world. It was deleted unexpectedly. Im really angry 😡

Great game. Mobile format has it drawbacks but it's awesome that I can play anywhere now. Great time passer for plane rides.

Hit the nail on the head, this game is an accurate representation of the PS4 version I'm used to. Love the game, just wish one or two controls were less tedious (cooking and fire placement)

Game seems to skip ahead days so when I wake up I automatically fall back to sleep and it goes to night and I black out again and it goes to day and I black out again and it goes to the next completely skipping a day or ill pass out at night and it'll go back to the beginning of night and then to the day and then skips to the next day
