Despite the months of people saying they've got the time bug in the app, and supposed bug fixes, the bug still exists. Have to uninstall every time to make it forget you're not trying to order in the past. Now you can select a new date... within that month. No way to change months. Really, really dumb. It's incredible the devs haven't fixed this yet.
Update: they fixed the order date/time issue they had so now the app works great. Makes ordering very easy. App worked great the first time I ordered. Ever since then (4 months ago) it won't update the pickup date and you can't select the current date. Renders the app useless. I've had to call in all my orders for the last 4 months. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no luck.
The app is pretty useless, it has a bug that won't allow you to place an order beyond the last successful order date. Which means you can't place any new orders. Four months on and it is still a worthless app, it has to be uninstalled after every use because it can't seem to get the delivery time to work. It either locks you into the last order date or some random date in the future.
It's incredible how irritating it is to have to manually select "ASAP" for your delivery time, every time you place an order. It's just such an unbelievably stupid design choice for the app to not default to that option, forcing you to manually select it every time. I'm on the app placing an order because I want pizza NOW. It should be an easy thing for them to fix too, but so far, nothing.
The food is always delicious! But the app and ordering online is very frustrating. I've had to enter things multiple times and several times I have just given up. I had a coupon that was online only so I called the store to tell them the app and the order on the website was having problems. They could not honor the coupon so I had to continue to try and order online. Very frustrating!
The app barely works. It refuses to fill in my address so I have to enter it every time. My profile has about 10 identical addresses listed because of this. Also, the app will often give me errors about the order time not being valid. The only way to "fix" this bug is to uninstall the app, reinstall it, log in again, and enter my address (again!). Terrible app. Someone needs to get fired.
There are a few bugs with the checkout time selection when placing a saved order. Additionally, the app saves your address as a separate address each time an order is placed, resulting in multiples of the same address under the profile. To add to this list, in lieu of the past order bug at the checkout process, the navigation to the menu to create a new order is not obvious enough when first opening the app. I would rather see pictures of the menu instead of my past orders so I can jump right in.
It does the job, but every time I order I have trouble. I always overlook the time for the delivery because there is no separate heading or field that stands out on the page. Maybe a toggle button would help me to not overlook it. Also when I forget to enter a delivery address or delivery time, I have to go back and reselect my tip amount.
so I log in and just keep getting errors. well one error but it's annoying and wont let me place an order because it says delivery time unavailable and it wont let me change it or remove it. makes it super annoying because I like using these apps to rack up points for the free smalls that the little one can enjoy. I've only had negative experiences with the donatos app. it just never seems to run correctly. I dont understand why. the dominoes app works just fine and us essentially the same thing.
Too many things get reverted on checkout if you make a change. Already added a tip? That will disappear if you change the delivery time. Other things mysteriously change after you've entered a preference. Everything needs to be double or triple checked before submitting your order, or it will be wrong. Great food, though.
I'm not sure anyone ever tested ordering. I have a note8 and I've had to uninstall and reinstall to get the app to work the 2 times I've used it. It will always assume I'm ordering on the same day as the last order, never let's me select my address so I have to reenter it and I never earn points. Very frustrating. I usually jump ship and call in. I'm very disappointed
the food is always superb, however, on numerous occasions I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app because it gets stuck on the previous time of the order before or just some other timeframe in general and will nor let me pass it or change it. It just continues to give me a "time error". Other than that, no complaints.
Overall, app is easy to navigate. The only gripe I have is at checkout. If you forget to check off a delivery time or forget the 3-digit number for the credit/debit card and you go in to change them, it resets the tip field back to zero every time. Other than that, I experienced no problems.
Half the time I am unable to use it because it says there is a problem with the time but I am selecting ASAP. Twice I know I selected the correct store to pick it up from, but when I arrive to that store they don't have my order and it went to a different store. Update 4/16/20 - the issue above seems to have been fixed with my recent orders. However, today when i placed an order I specifically selected delivery and added a tip. After I checked out it told me to pick it up.
Many glitches in this app. Lately, when I have been ordering receiving multiple pop ups claiming that the delivery time is not available. This occurs throughout the entire ordering process. If that doesn't happen, and I try to have a future delivery time, the app will default to 10:30am after I've already ordered. I then have to call the store and clear it up. It's very frustrating for all involved, especially since I use the app to order before I go to work and I don't have time to call.
This app is absolutely horrible. I love the food, make no mistake, but on the rare occasions where I can actually place an order without the time bug happening, it defaults to 10:30am the next morning. So buggy it's almost impressive, needs a ton of work before it's worth the time. Just use the website.
If you forget to set a time for your delivery, which is easy to do, it gets rid of your tip and defaults you to pick up when you correct the time. You don't notice the changes so you submit. Boom, you've got a pick up order with no way to cancel. So if your car is broken down you just paid for pizza you wont get, and tipped really well for pizza you wont get.
Needs Work. Has some real bugs to work out. Delivery times is the biggest one. I have had to shut down the app and even reinstall in some cases to get the time to reset. Another one I ran into today was redeeming my poibts reward from the top of the main menu. I am on a Pixel 3XL and the app started glitching pretty bad. Had to shut it down. Idea and design are up to par but the dev needs to put in some hours.
App is SO BUGGY. Have had some orders not get submitted, it puts you through the ringer if you are redeeming a reward - it's like they don't want you to actually use it. Doesn't save delivery address, so you have to add it every time, then at other times it has saved the address every time you've ordered and it's in there a dozen times. Items don't always get added correctly, and randomly crashes sometimes. I love donatos, but this app is a horrible case of DO BETTER DONATOS!
the app is very convenient and useful, but the pickup/delivery time on checkout page always gets stuck - seems to be set to my last pickup/delivery date, and will not allow me to select the current date as it is outside of some predefined range. this forces me to clear all app data and re-authenticate each time i want a pizza. good thing the pizza is yummy :)
Good app. Like a more sleek version of the website. Seems to have a bug where a zoom in and zoom out button appear at the bottom right of the screen and take forever to fade away. Also seems to have an issue where you can't redeem free pizzas with extra toppings. You would expect to be able to redeem a free pizza and pay for any extra toppings you had, but it doesn't let you. If you add extra toppings to a pizza that you use a free pizza coupon on, it'll say it's only valid on no crust pizzas.
