Great Game! Fun story line and great music. Controls are pretty intuitive and it's pretty addicting. Resources are an interesting mechanic too that I've come to enjoy. The only thing is that it's hard to see what buffs and debuffs are what. Maybe i just need to dig into the game manual a bit more, but it's difficult to see what I'm afflicted with just based on a symbol. Definitely would recommend this purchase though! Have fun!
I played both do&de games and while the first one was quirky and nerdy it lost a lot of its charm due to the boring big dungeons you had to grind through. This game is still quirky and nerdy but the dungeons are relatively small and more numerous. They all follow a theme and it is a lot of fun to play. There is still room for improvement because sometimes it is hard to know where you have to go for your quest. a dot on the worlsmap. Mixing passives to other classes.
This is a valid attempt at an old school RPG. The gameplay is decent, storyline feels good... But the controls are kind of funky. The world is a grid, but the controls are kind of floaty. Swipe and stop to love and make menu selections- no tap to move or select menu options. The game feels fairly deep, but also feels like you need to have a clue before starting. The humor is borderline (tutorial enemy is sewer stink cloud thing) and it feels like a lot of effort went into this game.
Kudos to the devs for a wonderous sequel. Updates are frequent, and the platform is incredibly stable. I've put this title to the test with constant in-game interruptions, and it re-executes flawlessly everytime! Another tip 'o the hat to the tongue-in-cheek humour interlaced throughout the dialogue. This keeps me wanting to endlessly explore, whilst raiding every cabinet I can find; hoping for the potential of wicked loot. Keep up the great work, and I sincerely look forward to a third title.
This game, on its own merits should get 4 stars but I own the first D&D and frankly the first one is better. Subjectively, I prefer the cute art style in the earlier game. Gameplay-wise, I don't like how items, spells & skills are handled in D&D Advanced. I get it that the devs want to reduce micromanagement but it detracts from the granularity of the earlier game. Ironically, the urns system is needlessly convoluted while the level up system is not as satisfying. Buy it to support good devs.
Been putting a few hours in and it's been a great RPG. The funny dialogue really breaks the monotony of interrogating NPCs. Controls were a little different than I'm used to, but not much of a learning curve. I started using the dual control method, which I think was cool to add. Really enjoying this game, thanks devs!
I was enjoying the game, despite the odd English translations, but then I got maybe halfway through the game (got the magic thread from the lightning god), and am forced to fight a second boss battle thats too difficult for my current character levels/equipment. Since I can't leave without fighting them, my only option would be to spend hoooooours leveling up in the temple. That's the opposite of fun, which is what I want to have when I play games. Also, I'm not a fan of the controls.
Edit: I got very confused by your menus and now playing again. Only problem now is the absolute atrocious scaling. I'm trying to find a place to put the crypt lever (Completely forgot where it went) and keep almost getting one shot by enemies who should be much weaker now. Not only that but exp from them is trash and most certainly doesn't represent my team getting KO'd by 3 rats. Please fix this. I'm kinda stuck because these lvl 1 rats keep sending me to the grave.
I bought the game 2 weeks ago for android phone. I cant start the game. It freezes at the loading screen. Starts horizontal with the initial image, then the image flips vertical and then closes. I just want to play the game. No information about patches except the one from last week that seemed to have fixed it for some, but ive uninstalled and reintalled about 10 times since the last update and it has not repaired the game for my phone. Any update? EDIT- OCTOBER 30TH: still cant play!!!!
Brick wall. It has been really good playing through this vast game. I loved the first one and this one gives even more! However, I am really, really let down by how difficult the end game is. I'm stuck trying to fight 4 of Steel's henchmen in the last chapter, outside the lift. For hours, I have tried so many tactics and combinations of characters. It is simply too hard and there is no way out the building to grind levels. This has ruined the game for me as I can't get to the end! Please help!
Let me just start by saying, the Doom & Destiny series are amazing rpg games! The humour, the easter eggs and the general style just makes me want more and more. I have come across a bug which I also found in your previous game too; the ringing sound of EXP glitches out and plays continuously no matter what. Only saving and resetting the game fixes it briefly. It's incredibly annoying so if you're still working on patches, could this get fixed please?
I love the game but I had a rather major bug, i had made it to chapter 11 but the last time i had a cloud save as i was playing offline was chapter 8. As you can see where this is going despite hitting ignore 20 time the game forced me to reload 3 chapters worth of progress. This is the only issue i have had so far though i would love to see another game to the series or something new.
It's not only fun but also funny! There's a lot to explore and many secrets to discover. Powers to unlock and wield in battle and the overworld. My only issue is that if you're not hooked up into cloud saving then you may randomly lose all of your data.
I love the story and gameplay but the controls are horrid. I would easily rate this 5/5 if it wasn't for that. And yes, I've tried the different options for the controls in the input section but the others are even worse. I'd love LOVE to have a dpad.
This game is really good i change my score from 3 to 5. At first I did not like this game mainly because of the controls. I still don't care for them but I've done used to it i guess. I would rather have a joystick with an action button and a menu button. The story is really good. Funny as heck im cracking up all the time. The Class/Urn System puts some good strategy into the game. Im glad i gave this game another chance.
This game is seriously fun and a blast from the past in that it reminds me of the classic style rpg. There is slot of hilarity mixed in as well which made me laugh quite a bit as well. I am now starting a second playthrough now. It has definite replayability. Many thanks to the developer. I bought the paid versions of both games for these reasons. I can't wait to see what they make next.
Fun game that harkens back to old school ff games. Menu controls took a little getting used to, but once I did they felt very intuitive. Plus, no in-app purchases is a huge plus. If you're a fan of classic fantasy RPGs and sarcasm, this is the game for you.
I played through most of the original Do&De adventure until I lost the computer it was saved on as well as the account (back before cloud saves). But now that I get play a different, more advanced version these many years later, that enhances and expands upon the original universe, How can I not rate it 5*?! I love this game and the og Do&De too! It's sarcastic humor, mixed with Rich story telling and alt-reality fantasy setting just hits all the right buttons for me! Not to mention secrets! Lol
Played the first version some years ago and I loved it. Very excited about this version being released, graphics and gameplay is absolutely wonderful, in depth and very entertaining, guaranteed to keep busy for quite some time. Very well worth the money. Thank you very much guys, looking forward to seeing a potential and possibly even longer sequel ( one which they even go to other planets and solar systems with a star map) would be el-neet-ooo!!! Thank you again!!!!!!
Frustrating, app not loading and remains stuck on a loading screen. The background music plays and I can access the help menu in the top right corner but nothing else. Game was playing fine until I finished a battle and it randomly crashed. Would give it a five star rating if this would work
Really good and enjoyable.... But not long I beat the main questline during the endgame quests my game completely crashes everytime I get into a random encounter. I'm about 90 hours into this game. Would be nice for a fix or for the devs look into it as I don't really want to restart... Give ago it's fun I just hope my issue doesn't happen to you
Doooodes, why?? The new level up system is so complicated and yet liniar and disappointing. You guys worked so hard on such a wonderful story, the classes are an awesome idea, But the whole 'getting stronger' part feels so weird and awekward.l AND LINIAR AS HELL. I was also hoping you would upgrade to a 'final fantasy tactics' type of battles, but you stayed with the 'group pokemon fight'. That's also a shame
Is it possible to somehow add a toggle to not delay when you hit a enemy? Because when you hit them, I notice a lag thingy where it takes longer to load? Idk. Also, can their be a fast forward button to tap rather then holding my finger on the screen? Since I always let it go and it takes time to activate again?
I loved the game but when I returned to replay it on my Samsung Galaxy S9 the tray bar (home, back, etc.) creates an area where you cannot see the map or your characters. It cuts off a good 5% or more of the screen and knowing secrets are a big part of the game, missing that much makes it unplayable for me now. Would love to see it fixed to go back and play it again.
