I use a prepaid card which was fine in the beginning. Then they decided you can't use those. Awesome bc I HAD money sitting that I couldn't get to bc of the card issue. Now they want 4.99 a month for inactive accounts. Why bother when you can't get to the money you earned in the first place. To sum it up, don't bother. There are other money back apps with less BS. I'll be closing the account and uninstalling the app. Ibotta gladly let's you use your prepaid card!
The offers are all apparently for places I don't go or for locations on the other side of town. I'm always surprised when I get a Cha-ching from this app. It has taken 2 years to reach $28.00! I don't dare cash in as any new $ would likely take at least another 2 years to reach that elusive $25 threshold. Update: 2 years after the review above and still not at $30! What a waste.
CHARGES FOR INACIVITY and calls it an industry standard (it's not)! Be careful giving them your information. I stopped using it because no deals were relevant to me and when I found out they started charging for inactivity, I reinstalled to make sure none of my personal information was left in there. I had a small balance that wasn't enough to cash out and see they were withdrawing from that every month.
It's a decent enough cash back app, but unless you live in a big city, there aren't as many opportunities available for regular purchases, and their o line offers while good, aren't something you'd shop for every week, so it makes the cash back transactions few and far between for smaller cities/rural areas.
I was loving this app even though there aren't many deals for me to use. So I was slowly getting cash back. It's been about a month since I checked the app and I got two $4.99 monthly maintenance fee charges. How ridiculous! Like the cash back you get is around $2. I'm so mad I just lost 9.98 to fees!! So dumb and not worth it anymore if that continues!
I have been using this app for a few years, but now they are SCAMMING (cheating) people out their money. I booked a hotel thru their app for $158.79 BUT checked in at hotel (paperwork) said $99.70. So what Dosh did was gave MY money back like they gave me cash bonus\cash back (MY money). I booked and checked in within mins of card being charged. I have reported this to the FTC
Update: I'm updating my review because Dosh's representatives took care of my concerns very promptly going the extra mile. I'm commending them for being so nice. I just wish they added more stores around me so I could use the app more often. I give them 5 stars tho cuz they are reliable _____ Not happy. They send me e-mails to use my account, but when I tried to log in to the app, it can only be done with my old phone number, which I no longer have
I used to like dosh since I thought it was a pretty good way to earn cashback although it had limited places & you could only cash out at $25. Then covid hit. Living in NYC, EVERYTHING was shut down & we couldn't go anywhere. You'd think that would be understandable right? Not to Dosh! Since my account wasn't as active in 2020 (due to a pandemic) & then still in 2021, (places were still closed) they took $4.99 monthly fees. I was at $24+ close to cashing out. They deducted all except one cent!
Very few places in my area that I can use with Dosh. Most stuff is online (weirdly no amazon). I had almost enough to cash out then they changed the offers and started with the stupid inactivity fee and guess what, I can't cash out. How convenient for them. They used to have in store Sam's and HEB on the app but now it just a bunch of places I don't go.
Very frustrating. I've been waiting for 3 months for 'pending' transactions to hit my account. Those CC statements have been paid for months. Why does it take 3 months to put $1.44 in my account from products I purchased from Sam's Club in January? It's maddening.
What an absolute scam. This app takes a while to get to the minimum amount to allow you to withdraw. I finally got there after like 2 years and the app will not let me transfer anything and says "try again later" for a week now. If you want someone to spy on your life for free then go ahead and download this
Dosh suddenly added a monthly fee of $5 if you had no used a deal within a certain period. They have a cash out of $25. Offers have slowly disappeared from the platform overtime. Other cashback services I've used either do not have a cash out threshold or they do not have an inactivity fee.
It seems you can do most saving with hotels which is uswful for me right now. There are not too many offers but I occasionally get cash back on my att bill so I love it. I use several cashback apps so it is a good addition.
Dosent even track my purchases to my linked cards anymore I could have had about $100 cash back these past 2 years. I have to beg and email my reciepts everytime if I want cash back credit.
Says my phone already has an account. I just downloaded the app and tried to make an account and says my phone is associated with another account. I have never even heard of dosh until now. There is no way for me, that I can find to contact customer service or anything.
Works like it says, cash back is legit, nice percentage return after purchase, nice diverse selection of merchants. However I wish more merchants & restaurants near me participated in Dosh.
I enjoy this app for the most part, it's nice to get money back on purchases. I wish their were more options for places, and you didn't have to meet such a high amount to transfer.

Before it was giving the cash back as soon as a shopped but now it just doesn't i have to be sending emails to dosh with receipt pictures every time for the cash back. Other then that I love the app.
Very great way to earn cash back on everyday purchases. The only thing that I was not happy about was when they stopped giving us cash back for dunkin donuts I was very disappointed in this application when that happened
Exactly as described. You put in your card info and it does the rest. I've gotten $55 back so far. It depends on how much you shop and the stores participating at the time. Regardless, it's not a big money maker, but it's a nice little bit of extra money to cash in from time to time.
Good app for getting cash back from everyday purchases. It takes up to 30 days for the funds to come through but the rewards are worth it. Thanks!! 😊
2022 update, this app just stops working guys, i noticed apps like this work the first time after you reach the minimum balances to cash out and actually be able to receive the money. but trying to build up again after it will just keep unlinking your card, never let you reach that balance again. not surprised when it feels like apps like these give you free money there is always a catch. pretty much a "one time run"
I've used Dosh for the past 2 hotel stays I've booked. Not only have I gotten great rates. I've also gotten cash back from the room rental plus bonus cash that refunded a big discount back to me a month later. I check Dosh for all my hotel stays now and take a quick look if any other purchase is covered on the Dosh App too. Great App!
Will not use again, now asks for online banking login to link cards Edit 10/27/19-Can add cards without banking info again, update to 3 stars now, will see how it goes. 5/2/22- very few in store offers
Love this app! Works on the background and has rewards available for to brands, restaurants and they even have lyft on here!! I recommend this app to everyone!

Awful. I downloaded in 2019. I just got notified that they were going to start charging for inactivity. One problem. I never used app and when I tried to cancel the app refused to allow me to open. When I got to open it kept closing down as soon as I tried to use any tab. This was the only way I could contact anyone because of this. Cancel my account.
