Great game. Tried it on PC, loved it, wanted it on the go but the game is just too demanding graphically. Everything turned down with the resolution scale at 40% gives a pixelated laggy experience. I admit I don't have the best of phones, but it's still just a phone. If I wanted good graphics, I'd get a 14" ultra portable laptop. Then again, I have a 1080p screen on my phone and a processor that can just handle 1080p 30 FPS video decoding, so it might just be the game trying to run at 1080p.

Runs really well on mobile, the transition between PC and mobile is a bit clunky but gets the job done well. Overall very customisable since most features from pc is on the mobile version making the whole experience very enjoyable The reason for the 4 star is a bug with the game detecting the wrong amout of storage left. I have about 10+GB of free space on my device but as soon as I launch Underlords the game indicates me that "An error occurred Insufficient storage Because of this I can't play

My former rave review reads, "The lack of monetization confuses and delights me, and the game is great too!" However, no updates for two years from Valve to fix game-breaking bugs or rotate the hero selection, let alone add functionality to the complete but removed content that was supposed to have rotated back in means it's become stale and dull for new and old players alike. It's a shame, as the game format is excellent.

Would be great if its as smooth as autochess. Also the UI, in my opinion, is a bit lacking. Like, they're too big. For things that aren't that important, it's taking a lot of space from a screen(mobile version). This may be unoriginal on your part, but I suggest that you take some reminders from autochess when it comes to UI. Overall great game and has a lot of potential.

Not being able to tap on certain parts of the UI to get info is lame, slightly worse than the PC version in that regard, and the optimization isn't the best. That aside, it's a good port of the PC version with very small differences, and it's nice that you can progress in either platform using the same account, I'm just hoping its UI will improve, the optimization, and maybe have a mode with faster battles, because in battles characters fight automatically anyway, and matches can be very long.

A few performance updates later and it's still quite laggy when moving units or using the shop When there's a lot of things happening on screen it can slow down to the point that it freezes for a second or two. Seems like a good game, just needs to be optimized for older phones. I still hope they fix this seeing as their main competitor has it running smooth as butter.

I had heard of Auto Chess, but never played it. A friend recommended Underlords, and as a newcomer, it has been an amazing game. Switching seamlessly between mobile and desktop is awesome. After a few rounds, I did need to watch a video or two to understand how the characters interact with each other, and the globally limited hero pool was not immediately apparent. It very much needs a better tutorial, but after that small hump, its been a great experience.

The game is beta and needs a lot of polishing. There is a fresh breath to the game with every update, the balance is being adjusted, new features and experiments, I like them! However, I should say that from the software perspective, this game needs a lot of optimizations, since it is laggy even on some mid and high-tier devices. It is not that devices lack performance, it is the game that is lagging. I hope this will get fixed soon.

Pretty fun game, and it's nice that you can easily switch from desktop to mobile, but it is definitely not battery friendly. The interface needs a little improvement to make it less prone to accidental placement (it's still easy to drop a unit onto the wrong square, which is bad when you have limited time to correct mistakes before the next round starts)

The gameplay is fun but compared to PC it's very clunky. The graphics however are horrible and the presentation overall is lackluster, I'm not really a fan of the washed out colors and the dark art style. The UI is bad, it's hard not knowing what synergies I have whenever I'm searching for a champion and the indicators aren't obvious at all since they're so tiny. Honestly with a little bit of polish and a few aesthetic changes this game would be so much better.

I really really love the gameplay! Somehow there are still bugs and fixes when it comes to the UI of the game itself. Some of the layovers are not properly placed when it comes to the development of the app. The screen turns black instead of the layover popping on top of the buttons. There are also issues when it comes to saving settings of the game. Everytime i would have adjust the settings everytime i play the game. Nonetheless, still a fun game to play! Surely there will be updates to fix

Overall, good game. Gameplay is fun and varied, and there are a ton of bot options for new players. The availability of offline play is also great. As for the main issues: there are pretty frequent big updates, which can be good except that they often step over previous updates by removing/reworking heroes, items, or mechanics, and it can be incredibly laggy.

I have no issues playing this on my phone. played quite a few matches with only 1 lag problem. Might be nice if it showed the number of a unit still available (like 40/45). Overall fun and easy game. I haven't had a match last past round 40 yet. edit: Added the pass that gives rewards for leveling up now. It's a nice little benefit.

I should start of by saying that I'm very aware that this is in beta and my critique is only to help make the game as good as it can be. Really love the game overall, it's in my opinion the best Auto Chess variant out there. The reason why I'm giving it 3 stars at the moment is the horrible performance, I mean, horrible. I'm currently on a Huawei P20 Pro (1 year old flagship) and even the first turns I can really feel how the FPS isn't smooth at all. And later in the game, it's literally sub 1 FPS when alot of effects are going on. Another issue that might be related to that the game doesn't run smooth is when switching around items / heroes, sometimes the game doesn't pick up on my touches and I have to try several times to drag a hero or item.

Jus. B. Jun 23, 2019

I have a mid range phone and it runs smoothly for few rounds until you get a lot more heroes, still playable. Issue with playing bots. After winning/losing it gets stuck in the arena. Not a fan for the UI but its simple to navigate. 8/10. I hope they add a quick game mode, where the damage are far more higher (for the player)

Bub. J. Jul 3, 2019

Hi, the gameplay is good similar to autochess so that's a plus. However, too much bugs, the graphics are blinking, it lags on stable internet, and the heroes are moving too slow. Even the timer is having a delay. And please add a Quit button, that will be a big help, uninstalling for now coz 696mb is a big file if can't be played. Thank you.

Ste. M. Sep 1, 2019

does not feel very beta other than a few control weirdnesses on smaller screens. otherwise great. Updated: control weirdness remains, but the development speed so far is great. I see where they're likely to put in the monetization and I am all on board with Dota 2 style cosmetic packs. My current only dislike is the fact that it is not scaled down for mobile much (in storage size) and the initial load takes a while in my phone (pixel 2XL)

Tam. T. Jun 25, 2019

I have tested both Auto Chess and this while this has some balance advantage over the other the rest of the play is not fully developed. It is in beta so hopefully once adjusted it'll be better. The issues I feel are as follows: the game lags a bit during play moving pieces and such are not smooth, there isn't alot of view during game options you're almost expected to remember all the tribe info and such or look it up, but by the time you you figure it out times up you lost the round or game.

Ste. W. Jul 16, 2019

The graphics are beautiful regardless whether you are on the phone, or on the computer. The gameplay tutorial is straight forward, but lacking an in depth learning process concerning the different alliances and strategic gameplay. The game connects to steam which provide cross platform without an unfair advantage, and shared save data.

Gia. G. Jul 29, 2019

better than autochess, but needs some improvements. Being able to see a friend's profile, better indication of when a card you already have is in rotation (the little face on the bottom just isn't enough, especially how fast the timer is). More profile pictures and being able to select whichever one you want would be nice too, it's hard to see on the left side who's who. Also copy autochess' way to show dps/items and synergies bc right now it takes too much space and it's clumsy to navigate.

Ano. O. Jul 30, 2019

Fact is there are better options for mobile ports in the auto chess genre. The UI is pretty terrible and lacks a lot of features and for a game of this kind that's a very big deal. As plenty of other reviews state, there's a lot of information you can't gather from doing things like tapping on things. Say for example you want to know what ability a hero has or what the tribes it belongs to offer, you can't without taking several steps first including buying the hero.

Wil. D. J. Jun 22, 2019

Amazing game. Really fun and challenging. Finally, a game where skill matters more than how much I spend. This game even has a single player mode against bots that you can save. This way if you don't have 40 mins to play or you just want to practice strategies you can. Multiple bot levels, and different modes. Game is especially well done for a beta. There is a little bit of luck involved but mostly skill. Quill18 does a great tutorial on YouTube if you want some pointers.

Rog. H. Jun 22, 2019

Quality port of the pc version. Does chunk battery life, but to be expected for the amount of data and graphics behind the game. Cross platform is smooth if you're on wifi or a solid connection not wandering around. Really fun game with diverse strategies that can win and have changed over the course of the beta. Quick balance and fixes by the dev team.

Jam. C. Feb 8, 2020

Personally, having played for a few months, i love the changes that have occured so far. Strategy is less about infinitely hoarding coins, and knockout gives me an option on mobile. Once they fix the disappearing map issues, the game is almost perfect. I always think the game is unbalanced, then win with what I thought was bottom tier.

Mic. C. Nov 1, 2019

The new game mechanics and pieces we're quite good. But as for the experience itself, it feels quite terrible. The game freezes a lot, and I'm glad the slide to change view was removed because I really don't know who thought that would be a good idea. Aside from the freezing, the game also now lags a lot on mobile and pc.
