Really great music player with nice iTunes syncing function, if it would work! Reverse syncing of play count information back to iTunes has stopped working for me for no reason at all, and this was the reason I purchased this app. I've tried all trouble shooting suggestions, customer service was only able to tell me that other people are experiencing the same problems, but could not resolve the issue. Will give 5 stars, when syncing completely works again. Until then, this was unfortunately a waste of money.
It is a great player, but I purchased it for the iTunes syncing function. While that function has worked in the past, it no longer works for me. I've tried all of the trouble shooting suggestions and still no luck. Based on the money that I have dumped into this and the related apps without them working, it has become a complete waste of money. I would avoid this app unless you like throwing money away or just want a really expensive audio player with no itunes syncing capabilities.
I give up. I've had multiple tries in with tech support. If it's not one thing, it's another. The Desktop software will only sometimes load my playlists, so autosync is out. When I do sync, it won't sync all my files and playlists. When I try and manually load them, it won't recognise them. This is all a shame because DT's media player is the best player I've used. So much so that I paid for pro years ago. But I have a useless program that bugs me to subscribe for cloud storage and a tech support team that can't help me. If it works for you, great. But there are too many problems with the app and accompanying software for me to rate this higher than one star.
This app is great. I have a large music library and playlists on iTunes. This syncs by playlist, song, genre, artist, etc. The UI is clean and easy. It also works flawless with Android Auto and casting to our Samsung TVs. The only issue that I had was that it took 3 installs of the Sync software on my computer before it would read the iTunes library files. Since that is resolved everything has worked perfectly. Best money I ever spent on an app.
I was more than pleased with this app, used it for my daily podcast and music diet. But then it stopped playing today. Started fiddling with it, removed the duplicates in the settings and lo and behold, all the songs are gone except the Procol Harum album. Strange! And now a bloody waste of time transferring songs from my computer to the phone.
Feature rich, all around best music app that I've found. Had only one issue during installation and initial sync. For new users who are running Windows 10 and can't select the music category to sync, there is a temporary work around detailed on the web site support section. They state it will be fixed in a later release.
Really want this to work. I used the free doubleTwist and loved it. Opted to buy the pro version so I can sync with iTunes wirelessly and cast to my Google home. Unfortunately neither work very well. The air sync is perpetually in my notifications, and when I wake up my computer I need to manually restart the server anyways as it never sees my phone. As for casting to my Google home, after only a few songs it will pause for me reason. I have to wait for it to resume after a ~10 mins of silence.
Great app. I'm well impressed. I use it on a Galaxy S10 and after setting up it gives the same seamless airplay and bluetooth connectivity as on my iphone and so this app has really helped me to move away from iPhone, I felt locked in to Apple before. One small niggle, and I think it's the phone rather than the app, is that when using airplay the music will just stop after about 15 minutes. double tapping the screen restarts the music. This pausing never happens with Bluetooth.
Got this to transfer my iTunes library over to my Androidb phone's SD card. Worked perfectly, and I was able to do so wirelessly. Playlists were maintained in the correct order (which was very important for me). It seems to be glitching out a bit when i scroll through my playlists - I'll be in the s's and it will suddenly jump backward to the g's, which is rather annoying.
I really wanted to like this app.... But between the constant air sync issues between my Mac and android device as well as the desktop version's frequent crashes, and not importing my iTunes library properly I finally just uninstalled it completely. It's been a nightmare trying to manage my music with this. iSyncr is working so much better for me at the moment. I just hate that I can't get a refund on this app...
Adding swipe controls to add songs to queue or play next would be huge. Stop spamming me to upgrade to increasingly unnecessary versions, I've already bought the app, I don't want any extra features. Doubletwist sync could be much faster, and the desktop client is still in beta after all these years. Playlists keep showing up after many different attempts at deletion. Everything else is fantastic.
Have used off and on for years. With new Samsung Note it will only download my entire massive music library not just playlists as selected. Why I stopped the sync after 50 songs downloaded, no matter what title I played I heard the first few minutes of a New Yorker podcast! In the past when I'would sync it, it loaded many hundreds of duplicate songs. I had to use a duplicate file locator app to clean it up. Of course, to ask for help you have to answer pesky list of question. The product should just work!
Shuffle mode cuts off the first few seconds of every song and when I skip forward or back on a song the fist song played is muffled and only goes back to regular volume after a full song plays. This app use to be great, but it gets worse with each update. And at the price that I have paid for this app, it should function flawlessly. There are free apps that run smoother than this app. At this rate, it is definitely not worth the money.
On pixel 5 the playback sound is not maintained uniformly before and after interruption (when calls, messages arrive). When an interruption requests for pause, afterwards the app doesn't automatically restart playing. I have to manually play music again. Deleting a file cannot delete the file from the phone storage at all. It only removes from the player. These needs to be fixed please. There should be more international radio stations. At the moment there are very few.
I wasted $8 on this garbage app. Where to even begin? Nothing works as advertised. The syncing from iTunes is buggy, and it deletes all old songs from the phone when I add new songs to iTunes and sync. It does not use the sd card to store music even if selected. Playlists don't sync reliably from iTunes. Airplay just stops working randomly. Their support documentation is obsolete. Contacting the developer for help yielded a message to read their support site. This is in my new galaxy note 10+.
It is as close as iTunes for Android as we can currently come. The AirSync in the Pro version can be a little cranky, but it DOES work. Great troubleshooting documentation got me beyond an issue with a later version of the iTunes Library List XML file. Would like to see them add a recognition of Podcasts in my iTunes library vs. playing them as "an artist", or syncing from their library where mine selected podcasts are available. All in all, a nice product.
Would be great if it worked, but it rarely does, at least in conjunction with WMP as the linked desktop library. Ratings made on Android rarely sync back to desktop, if ever. Sync often fails on large numbers of items with error codes that give little to no indication as to why (just a generic error code). Player on Android routinely stops being able to play all audio files on device, requiring a library purge/deletion of music folder/reinstallation of app. Save your money.
I had to delete my previous review to post this new review. I have tried to like this app. There is still no depth of sound reproduction by that I mean even if you do play around with the sound settings, there is no appreciable difference. I have a good set of ear buds and this app does not deliver the results I would expect. What is also frustrating is that I do not wish to have any of my videos displayed in the app. When I tried to exclude vids they were still showing. Still no joy.
This app is the best one to sync an iTunes library to an android phone. It syncs over everything you would expect it to. The only reason it's getting 4 stars is it refused to sync wired to my OnePlus 6t on Lineage or my wife's Pixel 3a stock rom. Airsync works great and the pairing process is super simple, just time consuming with a large library. Other than the wired problems, app is the only one you need for sync purposes.
THE best Android music app i have ever owned. It allows me to sync to my laptop's iTunes app. And it is so much more. Podcast manager, 10 band equalizer, etc., etc. It is fast and intuitive. i can't say enough after trying just about every other free app on Google Play.
It does exactly what it says, I was able to Airplay sync everything on my PC. Only complaint is that you have to reload the app each time you sync for it to load your new songs. Also wish it wouldn't constantly wake my phone up with notifications while syncing. Otherwise a great music player all around.
Not Performing as Expected. I have a Mac and Samsung Galaxy 7 (Pro version of the app). Doubletwist has imported my iTunes playlist on my Mac. l cannot get it to sync to my phone. And, yes I have the phone in mtp mode. I am very close to uninstalling and asking for a refund. UPDATE: Once I usef Airsync, I was able to get my iTunes playlists.
Love it very much... I've made some comparison on music player app in PlayStore. Free as well as paid apps. It's the best so long.. It has Volume booster (Pre-Amp) and also providing equalizer for Vocal Booster & Spoken Words that are very useful and excellent for listening to any speeches or language learning audio. So, i don't have to find any third party app for equalizer or volume booster app out there. Oh ya, i've tried some of the eq and volume booster app out there, but none works at all.
**Edit, FLAC is back up and running! Daily use, this app is the best. The but with a large collection of music it'll at times shuffle songs from one artist into the album of another. Seems to be random, but it's really correctable. What happened to the FLAC support? That's why I payed for the pro version!
It plays music/podcast/radio very well indeed, can't fault that. But, the visuals could do with tweaking, specially with downloading album art. I don't know how Poweramp does the album art thing, but they've got it sussed out and the visuals just look a bit better. Go look at the competition. Still 5 stars as a music/podcast/radio player though.
I purchased the pro version without trying the free version first. I really love using double twist. As far as I'm concerned it's as easy and intuitive to use as Spotify and far better than Amazon Music or YouTube music. It took me a while to start the syncing process with iTunes but once it started the transfer was seamless. I'm really pleased I went for Double Twist to store my iTunes - I can't fault it 😄😄😄
You have to tell it to repeat the playlist each time you change queues, so anytime you pick a new album or playlist. When using Android auto, this means you have to grab your phone and do it there because you cannot change this from the Android Auto interface. Huge deal break as it's extremely annoying.
