App used to work great, not anymore, gives out an error saying that something went wrong and no matter what I video I tried downloading it throws the same error. Very disappointed, considering I payed to remove ads...
This app has worked perfectly for almost 2 years but after the last update it no longer works. Every video says download failed. I've used this app daily and I'm sad that I'll have to find something else now.
Quick, easy, adds free downloads. For a few months many videos on Twitter wouldn't download, but now it works again - perfectly. Must have fixed the issue.
Much like others, the app was working fine until recently. It will detect videos but the download fails every time. I wish it possible to go back to earlier app versions because the latest update broke it. On to search for another, unfortunately 😕
Update crashes everything, won't download anything. Needs a fix asap. Before it gives you the option of downloading whichever quality you need, keeps a history of what you downloaded in case of erasure.
(Gifs however are not downloading) Worked out how to sort it not downloading. For some reason you just have to reestablish route to download. Just went into settings, download folder destination, and hit phone. Works like a dream now.
This app has become so bad, you can not even download anything again, just filled with ads that consume your data at every click. The ads are too much and annoying.
The last 3 downloads failed. No explanation. It just doesn't work. From reading the reviews, it looks like it stopped working for lots of users since a recent update.
Not working after last update. I am getting "download failed" error every time. I am gonna wait until next update. If it keeps going that way, I am gonna delete the app. (Device: Pixel 6 Pro)
Disappointed that GIF format is no longer supported! I used to be able to download any GIF using this app, not any more. Please bring this back! I'm missing a lot of GIF's I could have saved!!
Since an update, videos no longer download and say Download failed. I followed the suggestion in Heidi Martin's review from 5/4/22 which fixed the issue. Stars off due to no response/acknowledgement of the issue from the publisher.
Had issue downloading videos after recent update, got it fixed on Android phone by going to App info, search for this App, scroll to Storage, click on Clear date then clear Cache. You should now be able to download and save your video as before.
It's quite dependable, and really easy to use. I rarely run into a non-downloadable GIF or MP4. The download speed is also stellar! I can even leave the app for background downloads, with a brief notification at the bottom of my screen, signaling completion. My ad experience has been great. There are only banner ads, which let me use the service freely. I don't feel forced into viewing ads for revenue. The ads are placed for my convenience, and their benefit. It's essential!
It's a very good app for downloading videos or even gifs from Twitter but I'm having some problems lately, like the videos won't show up at all in the gallery, even though I've already turned on the "Automatically add video to Gallery" in the settings. Although it won't show in the gallery I can still view them and share them from the History in the app itself. But even still I would really appreciate it if you could fix this problem. Thank you.
Folder doesn't show up on the twitter drop down menu for me to be able to navigate and share the video after downloading and when I click the "more" button and go to the folder from there it doesn't show the videos as useable files. I love how easy it is to download the videos but what's the point if I can't share them on Twitter at a later date? I've been thinking I'm the only one this has been happening to but I checked and I'm not. Hope this is fixed because it's been the casefrom the start.
Dude this is like, really good. So, I needed video footage from my switch so I shared the clips over to twitter, but then I needed to download them onto my phone. As far as I can tell, this works great. So, the way it works is that you basically share the video from twitter (or Instagram I guess?) And it copies and pastes the link to that video in the search bar. Then it, idk what happens, just finds the video on Twitter and, just, downloads it. It didn't show me any ads, which is very rare! :)
Pretty good. Downloads videos from both Twitter and Instagram, even private accounts (at least with Instagram, haven't tried on Twitter). My only gripe is that trying to download a video from an Instagram post with multiple slides can be pretty tricky. If the video is in the first slide, you'll probably get it, but if it's not then there's a good chance it won't be downloaded. It's not a huge problem though, overall I'm really grateful for this app.
I like it. However, it would be way cooler if I could download videos in the background while I'm still on Twitter. What I mean is this; from inside the app, there should be a link to the twitter app and a functionality that automatically downloads the video in the background, immediately after copying the twitter status link, without having to go back into the app every time to paste links.
The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that even with the option set to download the highest quality I have to download files twice in order to get the option of the HD version otherwise it gives me a mid-grade version of the video. Edit: So apparently if I turn off the option to automatically select the highest quality video it will let select it for the first download.
Edit: Auto downloads highest quality! 5 stars! Really love how fast and easy it is to use. I purchased it right away. The only problem is that it isn't downloading the highest quality video available even though I have that option selected. So I have to download the highest quality manually and then go in and delete the automatically downloaded version. If this gets fixed it'll be a 5 start app!
it used to work completely fine but recently, it stopped and always says download failed, hopefully this can be fixed asap !! ^^
I originally had this as five stars in my old phone, but downgraded it to 4. In my old phone, all I had to do on twitter was hit "copy link" and it would automatically transfer over to the downloader app and download without me having to manually do it myself. I can't do that anymore. I tried to go to the settings to change it, but it didn't help. Other than that, it's still a great app!
Alright, ads on settings is very annoying but better than for every download. Two major pet peeves though, first being a billing problem toast that appears over every app randomly, second is that the file date/time is based on the time of the tweet, not the download. This means if you download a vid from a tweet made in May 2017, you have to go all the way down to then in your gallery to find it rather than the top of your gallery. It's more useful than copying a link for the browser at least.
Works pretty well, downloads at around 3mB/s max for short videos (haven't tried long ones), and sends a billing problem toast notification (those gray ones that appear over other apps) that doesn't really look like it's anything i did, and it didn't seem to have caused me any problems yet, but is still strange. Still a better alternative than clogging the comments with bot tags.
love the app. ads are unobstructive, and you gotts make money somehow. Edit: downgraded from 5 to 1 star. After the latest Android updates, this doesn't work anymore. Uninstalled
App was working perfectly until the latest update. Not sure what went wrong but I am unable to download any video after the update.
Very easy to use, but I was able to only download 6 short videos and it just stopped working. Not sure if its a me thing, Twitter, or the app but i have over 15 failed downloads. I honestly require help since I don't see many others having this struggle.
