Screen doesn't lock while on a call so I have to hold the phone a mile from my face to avoid pressing buttons. Won't stay connected to bluetooth headphones either so those aren't an option
I love the doximity app. I use it frequently to call patients (without having to use my personal line), and I often read articles that I find useful for my practice on there as well.
Huge failure the last 3 weeks. Used this app for 2 years, now suddenly it won't function. I was told "it will be fixed in next update". There are no options to update program, and currently is more hassle than dialing *67. Very disappointed and looking for alternatives.
This make it so nice for calling patients. Most won't answer a blocked number. So having my office number show on caller ID is wonderful.
Good app best viewed on a desktop or laptop computer. Too much information available for using your cellphone as your primary access to this app. The app gets more useful the more consistently you use it.
I have really liked this app for it's texting feature but recently it's not working correctly. Hoping it gets fixed soon.
Nice that the call comes from my office, but can't use the speaker function on my phone while using this app.
It frequently kicks me off. Since my employer is the account holder, it makes getting back on the app difficult. I will say that it's great when it works! Why it keeps kicking me off when we have a paid subscription is beyond me!
Works great. Patients are much more likely to answer when the see "the office" calling rather than a blocked number. Also love the straight-to-voicemail option.
Great app! On video calls, the volume is extremely low. Tried it on various Android devices, have the same problem. Would appreciate a big fix
Having issues with the calls not going through the Bluetooth earpiece despite what it says is selected for the audio. Still functional but very annoying
App is very user friendly with great features. Including the caller and CME trackers.
Cool app, easy reads with free CME and most importantly, free Dailer.
The recent update has ruined the app for phone call use. The ringer is extremely loud, despite volume adjustment. The keypad has lost the # and *, and the hang-up function is hindered. It is disappointing because I have been using this app for over a year, and will likely stop using it at this time. Addendum/response: turning off the internet use for calls was very helpful. I am increasing my rating and will continue to use the app. Thank you.
Works well for me. The video feature is extremely easy for patients to use. Developers: PLEASE fix the (beta) video feature: in my use, the video images are reversed (left-right): my own image looks like I am looking at a mirror (left is on the right and vice versa), and so is the patient's image. This could lead to critical mistakes or at least terrible confusion in medical care! The behavior varies depending on platform of the patient (Android vs iOS).
Used to work acceptably well. But over the past few months, functionality has seriously deteriorated. As before, I get an email with a list of articles, I click on a title, my phone asks me if I want to open it with one of my browsers or Doximity. I choose Doximity and it opens a completely different window, like Job offers. I close that window and I'm at a series of article abstracts. I scroll through all ~20 of those, and not a single one is the article whose title I had clicked on.
App works great being a medical assistant and making lots of calls. The touch sensitivity for pushing the numbers could use a little tweaking though. If you don't push just hard enough EXACTLY on the number, it won't register and since you can't touch anywhere in the number sequence to change it, you have to start over.
This is a really good app for work purposes. I would have given 5 stars except for the few times multiple calls needs to be made before a connection takes place (rare but still can be frustrating), and the fact when you want to just leave a VM, which is an option, it reverts to my own number which defeats the purpose of the work connected number.
Great app 09/09- had to amend my review. This app worked great for a time, but don't know if they changed it or what. Now when I make call, the person on the other side can't hear me. I'm always told that my voice is breaking up. Second, sometimes while I'm in the middle of speaking with someone and another call comes through, instead of going to voice mail the phone will ring. The other person doesn't here it but I do and it makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. Third and very
The upgrade to VOIP has greatly improved the experience; however it would be much better if the app simulated a phone by closing the touch screen (like your real phone does) when you put it up to your ear. Very frustrating to either (choose one): have your ear starting and stopping other functions of your phone randomly OR have to manually deploy your lock screen at the start of the call and the unlock again in order to hang up. Whose brilliant mistake was that?
I'm grateful for the assistance Doximity gave providers during the pandemic. It was an immense help in keeping contact with consumers. Edited: I appreciate Doximity's quick response! The app allows users to switch between VoIP and cellular services, to allow users to pick which service benefits them more. I hope they change the ring tone, as now I can't tell if I'm waiting for the phone to be connected or if it's ringing I have only used the trial version.
App has become increasingly unreliable. It's hit and miss in terms of making outgoing calls. App either will not connect and drop the outgoing call or I can't hear the phone ringing for the Patient I am trying to reach.
