Doze - For Better Battery Life
When screen is off, Doze prevents your apps from sending or receiving data without disabling your Wi-Fi or 2G/3G/4G data. In this way it adds more hours to standby time and makes significant difference to battery life. Apps can resume normal activity when screen is on.
It's different from Power-saving mode in Android Lollipop (Android 5).1. If you enable power-saving mode in Lollipop, it turns off you data and only when you manually open the apps can they receive data again. Doze is different. When your screen is on, apps can resume normal activity. You do not need to check them out one by one. 2. Doze supports Android 4.1 or above. In the long run it will support more Android versions. Power-saving mode is available in Android 5 only.
It's different from Doze feature of Android M.1. Doze feature in Android M activate only when your phone/tablet is unplugged, stationary for more than 30 minutes and has the screen off. You can activate Doze from YirgaLab anytime. By contrast, it's much easier to activate.2. Doze from YirgaLab supports more Android versions.In all, it's an improved and more powerful feature based on Google Doze. Doze app will not interfere with Marshmallow’s Doze feature. They can work together.
How to keep an app active when in Doze with screen off? In the recent update, We add an active list feature. Apps added to the active list are active in doze mode.

It's too early for me to say how effective this will be. For those having having auto shutdown issues, I recommend installing "Autostart and Stay". This app relying on VPN to control traffic is more flexible than simply toggling data or hibernation because hibernation requires manually having to wake every hibernated app up before it can have internet access again.
Hi YirgaLab, i love this app and it seems to work really well. But i notice something: 1. Sometimes when i restart my phone Doze doesnt automatically starts. 2. I already whitelisted google play services and playstore because when i plug my phone in a charger playstore will automatically updates, but still it doesnt. Im now left to manually update my apps. Pleasr show me how what else i need to put in the whitelist in order for my phone to update apps while plugged in at night. Im using a Galaxy s7 edge. Thank you.
I'm pretty sure this helps battery life. My S8 used to loose quite a lot over night with aod now it only looses 4-5 percent. A more persistant notification would be good though. Sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't, this leaves me wondering if its actually on or not. I usually turn it on and off to see the notification for piece of mind.
U know what it really works... I start it at night when i wake up my battery at the same state where i left at night.... Best app for standby mode i loved it .hey develpor tell me how to praise y more on your great work. I already give u five stars.. Again lots of love from me please keep it up
This app was amazing but recently it been auto quitting and won't start back up. I used to be able to have my phone last almost a day and a half but since it doesn't run properly anymore I can barely get a day hopefully it gets fixed soon and I'll change my rating.
This is great and usefull aps. But why when I activated the aggressive mode, my smartphone's LED notification always blinks when the screen turns off. Please fix it. I have turned off the notification LED for this app but keep it blinking. I will give 5 stars if it is resolved. Thanks doze. (Xiaomi Mi Max - Marsmalow 6.0.1)
It's a great idea. Conceptually it makes all sense. BUT users should be aware of the risks of letting ANY app to create a VPN. Even when the dev is s trusted one a VPN could pose security risks. I think the developer should make this clear on the app's description. Other than that, the app may be useful to those who struggle with battery issues. I'm giving it give 5 stars for the well developed concept.
I'd love this app. But this app can't work if I using AlwaysOn lockscreen. And if I set to "Agressive mode" my phone is run to slow wheter the free RAM more then 1GB. Please make sure again woth resolved witch one my problem. And then I want to give 5 🌟
I used it last night while sleeping for the first time. I charged my phone to 100%, unplugged it, and woke up to the same normal loss. And unless I'm misunderstanding, i had notifications from fb and ig and such. I thought this was supposed to stop it from connecting when screen is off.
Great concept, appears to be abandoned by the dev team. Worst mistake I ever made installing it on my and wife's stock note 5's. Even unistall did not fix the problems caused by doze. Ended up factory reset of both mine and wife's phones. Developers no longer respond to emails. My level of technical experience, VERY HIGH.
Sometimes Doze VPN still active while screen is on and no internet connection, even though I never set "aggressive mode" on. I've double checked the setting so it doesn't set to on but it still happen, what I do is quit Doze and re-enabled Doze to make it work. Pls fis if you read this, thanks.
I have been using the app for two days on Lenovo P70-A with Android 5.1 and here are my comments: First - this is a brilliant idea to limit the internet connectivity of apps that may be running on background. However, if you do not want to miss your updates from Twitter, news, timeline on Google maps, you must be careful to add these apps to the "Whitelist". In my case, these were actually all apps that needed internet connectivity with screen off. Second, it seems that the app does not always work on my phone. To be clear: it works, but not always. And when it works - it does what it is expected. This might be a problem with my phone, so I won't generalize it. Third - it seems that there are other apps that regularly wake my phone when I am not using it, and therefore - using battery when phone is idle. The major consumer in my case was Android system. Doze could not optimize this due to obvioous reasons. And in the end - I think this is a very good app with cleve idea bhind it. I am giving it four stars, because of the matters I described above.
Before my note will only last 5 to 6 hours. Now it last 12 hours. . Love this app. I only turn on what app i want to constantly use the internet.. i have whatsapp and emails.. thats it. Weather does its 6 hour sync .and facebook i have it off because im always checking it. . Love this app. Thanks.
This app works well and s must have app if you have straight talk service that takes your so called high speed data away after two weeks wether you use it or not and wether you purchase 5,10 or hotspot data plans with a 4G speed that never reaches 3G unstable speed. Mine has never been higher than 4.9 mbs and is lowered to .06 mbs after two weeks. My only problem with this app is that it does not close all the apps running but again probably due to my service provider. Thanks for creating such a good app
It's just awesome app , must try once. I had changed my mobile ( Lenovo k3 note -2900mah) yesterday and now it's 11:30 pm and still it has 35% battery after normal use over day. I just recommend this app to all of . Woooow
S7 (nougat) **UPDATE** Initially I gave 1 star and a bad review, but then after giving it another chance I would have to say that believe it or not this app is actually doing it's job. I just got 34 (yes that's correct 34) hours out of one charge. Give it a fair chance and you may well be surprised!
It works as it advertised except the white list function. They says "The apps in the white list can keep the activities in doze" . But after closing the app(with its service running in the background) it stops using data. Otherwise it's an awesome app. 😍😘
Love it! My battery yesterday went as low as 45% and that is just due to data usage and played a game once on my device. But today after making sure to have setup doze correctly, my data just went down til 60%. Thats already with 4calls. Played a mobile game once and mobile data on for 9hrs. Its a keeper for sure!😊
It saves me so much battery and gives me almost twice time usage.(Phone 2800mah i had 4h and now up to 8h or so) This app just overwhelmed Me. It's definetly worth app and it's something else-marvolous. I strongly recommend it for each person!
I am using HM1S with MIUI7 stock ROM. I have to active the app again and again it automatically quits after few hours or immediate after rebooting the phone. So I have to do "get into the doze" again. Overall nice app for fast battery draining issue.
Works really well esp. when paired with Hibernation Manager. Neither have any ads. You'll definitely see battery savings and Doze some time back added an aggressive mode so even when your screen's on it'll help hibernate apps you're not using. Even ones you didn't know you had. In fact that's the only drawback, trying to figure out what apps you never heard of do and whether you need them active or can turn 'em off most of the time. Great work.
I used Doze for one day and no Doze for another day, and my battery discharge was virtually the same. Also, it says it will stop apps from using the network, yet they still do, en masse. Furthermore, it says it will set up a VPN, but no VPN was ever set up... Since my phone battery dies WAY too easy, it seems I'll have to wait for Android Nougat in order to get more battery, huh?
An amazing app, works perfectly.... it managed to turn a phone that had only 8 hour battery life into one which now lasted over 20 hours.... I never felt that I had missed out anything in the meantime, it is just plain amazing. Thank you very much... Please there is some minor problem that sometimes it just doesn't establish the VPN connection at all and it happens random. Please if you need my help in pointing out more details about the problem, feel free to ask me.
works sometime:- the toast message appears randomly and not always when it does not appear means it does not go in aggressive doe mode set by me, which can be identifies from the battery graph which is in descending. Whereas in doze mode it almost remain constant. Pls fix this issue.
but since this app is just turning off my wifi and mobile network, i wont receive any incoming messages when i turned off the screen (exactly when this app is doing its job). -- Also, an option to make it stay in the notification is needed, so i don't need to make it stay in the "recent apps", making sure there's no accidental close
I always wished I can white list some apps under Restrict background data option in Android. This app fulfills that. But the app auto quits on my oneplus 3 quite frequently and I have to manually turn it on everytime. Also it would be better if you explain how exactly the VPN is used when asking for VPN permission
