You have to take a picture of your receipt for rewards!? Even when I order through the app, so it knows that an order was placed, I still have to take a picture of a receipt for validation of an order. That is just ridiculous. The menus are not very intuitive, and I am usually more frustrated after trying. Use the order online feature through their website. It is much easier.
I love DQ and the notifications that I receive. However, sometimes I have a hard time placing an order. The last time I had a time out error when I was trying to login with Google and it wouldn't allow me to correct it or refresh the page. Very frustrating. Wanted to save some time by paying in advance and so the order would be ready by the time I arrived. Instead, had to order through the drive thru and wait in the long line. Some features need to be updated.
Finally was able to get into app but how atrocious it is to use. You can't sign in via Google from within the app even though it gives you the option, then trying to put in a credit card # doesn't allow you to see what's being put in as the CC info is at the bottom of the screen and gets overtaken by the keyboard. Whoever designed this doesn't know what they're doing and DQ took it because the were cheap. Easier and probably faster just to order at the store itself
The app doesn't list burger combos on the menu. Everything comes up as regular price. Also, the restaurant doesn't always get the order or it doesn't show that it has been paid for. Lastly, you can load only one receipt, even though the receipts were each a day apart. Lost $21 credit for that one.
The app want even open up. I have had an app for years and all of a sudden it wouldnt let me get into it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. It's frustrating that I can't get my rewards. This is going on about 2 months.
This new app isn't as good as the old one. It takes several attempts to take photo of receipt. The app also says It doesn't recognise my device and again takes several attempts to be able to even get into the app. Maybe an update would include a scan option to eliminate the photo process.
Not the greatest. Some of my receipts are disapproved even though they are above the amount required for the spoon. It just says it's invalid. And it takes a few days before we are notified whether it's approved or not. By that time, it's too late to resubmit the receipt because of the number of days we are allowed to submit.
Terrible. Hard to navigate, impossible to go back a screen without restarting your order. And even if your order goes through, the employees won't actually fulfill the order until you call.
I'm giving it 3 stars because I do like the app for the coupons and the rewards. But online ordering is useless. Apparently it does not go through to the restaurant. The past 2 times, the restaurant will apologize and quickly complete my order but advised that orders rarely go through their system.
If you just want to see menu options, or find a restaurant, then this app is fine. However, it seems like that the only restaurants you can actually online order from are those restaurants fairly close to Corpus Christi. I should also know that the menu is not accurate for the two closest Dairy Queens to Texas City. They offer a Jalisco Burger that's not listed on this app.
It has become very difficult to order through the app and it is very frustrating. When you choose the option to order online, it only brings up the burgers, etc and you cannot choose anything to order. Not very happy about this.
Pretty lousy app. I get emails for rewards directing me to the app to redeem. The app has no rewards or sometimes it has a different reward. Purchase credits on the app require manually scanning the receipt. It would be nice if it was automatic. The store employees are not familiar with the app or redeeming rewards. Not easy to use at the store
Hey DQ, if you're gonna make an app with mobile ordering, why would you make it impossible to order a number freaking one? This is the only app I've ever used that you can't order a full meal on. If you couldn't make it work, you could have outsourced to some fine companies that can, at the bare minimum, allow me as the customer to see and order from a full menu. Just don't have an app, it's ok not to have an app. Just don't make a lazy, half done, terrible app.
Can't order the premade blizzard recipes off the menu, once you order the app glitches out so you can't check in at the parking spot. So you have to wait in line anyway.... Don't bother downloading it. You also can't use the promos in the mobile order. It gives you a qr code to scan.... Which you would have to be at the window to do...
Currently has some major problems for curbside. The app always resets back to the home page and you have to reopen the folder you were in. Trying to sign up with Google crashed the app and had to restart. Got to the restaurant after submitting our curbside order and followed the texted prompt, the employee informed us that the app doesn't give them our order and only states that we are here.
Compared to their competition, this app is pretty bad. You can't order online through it and if you have a coupon, be careful. They don't come back if they aren't used and they actually had to WRITE down the code while I was in the store on top of this: You apparently can not use a coupon AT ALL if you have any part of your order on sale. NORMALLY at their competition, when you have a coupon, you can use it at the same time as a special, like Dollar taco night. If you use the special, even if you are purchasing OTHER items that are not on sale, they say, nope, can't do it. This is pointless. Because I already had the coupon ready for an item I did NOT have any specials on, I had to go in and order it inside - by ITSELF. What is the point of this other than to inconvenience the customer?
Complete Garbage There's a good reason they decoupled a version of this app for the lone star state, it's not a logo, it's a rating. There's a hundred different ways they have to throw out your receipts and prevent you from claiming your rewards, ive been stuck on the last spoon/reward point for the last 4 purchases. DQ can get bent, this app has left a bad taste in my mouth with this franchise so I'll be going elsewhere for dessert from now on.
My app won't open up. It has a circle on the bottom and just keeps buffering. I have lost alot of rewards that i could have earned through my receipts. It's been like this for months. Just tired of it waiting to open up.
I have been using this app for a few years now and ever since the update the app has not been as good as it once was. What really peeved me was on April 14th I got a notification for double hearts/points day. This used to take place once a month but was done away with. I met the $5.00 spending requirement but was informed I would have my extra reward in 24 hours. Back when they first started doing this it was instantaneous It has been more than 72 hours and I have no extra reward. What gives?
Tried to order from application and was never offered an order button. Person at counter states they've never been taught to use remote machine at counter and couldn't explain why I couldn't order remotely. Waste of technology, time, and convenience.
You should be able to tell online if a store is participating in a reward, and to be honest, if it's Dairy Queen then they should be. I'm not going to drive around trying to find a store that does. I just won't buy. Also, it's almost impossible to easily find out how to add receipts for credit towards spoons. The "help" section doesn't help. It says to tap twice. Tap WHAT twice? Tap WHERE twice?
Great place, quick and friendly. Food is always hot and fresh when I've gone. The one time it wasn't the manager was shi* and said I had to bring my burger even though I had the receipt. It would have been 8 hours old after work... He doesn't work there anymore so 5 stars all day!
Not very intuitive and user interface is very poor. When ordering it required name, phone number and email. The app already has that info in your profile. (At least it looks like it remembers this the next time.) When trying to enter payment info, the keyboard covers the fields with no ability to scroll. It looks like you must save receipts and take pictures of them to get rewards. Why? If you order from the app, it already has a record of your purchase. Why add this redundancy?
