After many many hours of play I can say that this game it's fairly unbalanced. They make you choose a character even before understanding the mechanics on the multiplayer game. And the matchmaking, it's pretty bad cause you ended up playing against people with no experience and sometimes with people with too much experience. The solo play is pretty good so if you want some fun stay off the multiplayer for now.

On paper, the concept is awesome. However, the execution is... less than satisfactory. The fact that there's no way to refill the alarmingly short energy reserves short of paying or waiting half an hour makes it impossible to get past challenging stages, such as 1C. In addition, the controls are unweildy and when trying to drag a capsule into a specific spot, it takes forever to get it to snap in place in some circumstances, and it snaps instantly in others. Only 🌟🌟 from me.

Always loading. Dr Mario has very long loading times (~30s) when it launches and between every level and even sometimes in the middle of the level, even when using a fast device and fast internet. Dr Mario always requires internet connection to play. There is no offline mode. The gameplay is great. The levels are challenging. I really like the game. You can progress pretty far without in-app purchases.

It's a fun expansion on the Doctor Mario concept, I do have a lot of fun with it as I've always enjoyed the original game alongside it. I think a bunch of classic console games are perfect for the mobile platform and I'm happy to see this one reimagined. There is a "but"... there always is. BUT it could be tightened up a bit. Versus mode will probably always be buggy, lag out, disconnect, its just the way things are. It's the finicky main game controls that bend ne out of shape. Tighten it up!

Way too many bugs, including levels not ending when they should or not loading to start. Also, the controls are inconsistent. Sometimes it's too sensitive. Other times, it's not sensitive enough. Feels rushed when a few more months would really help. Also, it is a battery hog. Short plays take up a sizeable chunk of your battery's life. Disappointing from something with the "Nintendo" name attached to it.

I've gotten a tremendous amount of play out of this game without ever spending a dime. I've beaten all 400 stages so far and gotten pretty far on versus. I've had a lot of fun with it. But there are a few drawbacks that prevent it from being 5 stars; 1. Some levels, particularly the timed challenges, are impossible to get 3 stars on without purchasing upgrades. I'm looking at 3C in particular. 2. Too many popup ads every time you open the game. 3. Requires constant internet connection.

The game is fun, and I like that you get to compete with others. But it does have its glitches where it froze misgame and my bubbles went to a different spot. One thing though, I wish I can play offline in subway or when I tab out, it doesn't try to reconnect me back to the game, because sometimes it would keep trying to reconnect but it doesn't and I would have to close the game and reopen it and all my progress would be gone.

While this game is very fun and adicting, it definitely isn't reliable enough to become a favorite. Firstly, about 10% of the time, the game won't open, saying my phone is incompatible. Secondly, multiplayer mode continuously failed to work, and my internet speed was not the problem. Lastly, I tried numerous times to beat a level, each time the game randomly pausing and loading. Just when I was about to beat the level, I was kicked from the game. I was not reimbursed a heart.

This is a great game. It brings back Dr. Mario into the modern era, which is nice and refreshing. I have 2 or so things that keeps it from getting higher than 3 stars. 1. Not enough "hearts". I get it, it's a free game with in app purchases, but 5 hearts is NOT enough to actually enjoy the game, even if we get hearts when we beat levels. 2. Versus mode is good, but I have an issue with the rising floor mechanic. I lose more to that screwing me over than I do with the opponent actually beating me

The last few games Nintendo released on mobile platforms have been cool, and innovative. This game is far from what we've come to expect from a company of that manpower, that size. The main campaign has some value as a puzzle game, but it gets dull quickly. The really bad part comes from the versus mode. Once you or your opponent gains momentum, and, by extension, the lead, catching back up is incredibly difficult. It boils down to an RNG battle. Very disappointing.

Overall, it is very fun and addicting. I honestly do not see a problem with the new add ins that they gave the game, even if its similar to games like candy crush. I find those add ons to make things most interesting. The only problem I'm facing is the game constantly buffing and lagging while on a level. It's not too much to the point of unplayable but enough to be annoying.

There were definitely lots of connectivity issues, but it looks like they're more fixed than not lately after the updates. They even gave out 10x hearts. I don't really mind playing to win to play the next level, it makes it that much more challenging. I'm very near level 160, and the only thing more challenging than getting 3 stars, are completing those special timed levels. Those are near impossible! The versus mode is AWESOME.

I love this game bc it's from my childhood, and this newer version is great. I love being able to play it wherever I go too. BUT it glitches A LOT. I've had to redo difficult levels multiple times bc it glitches after I've cleared a level and stays stuck on the final screen. I also hate that unlocking other characters takes so much. Other than that, great job with the game. I've been telling everyone about it.

It's a decent rendition of the original Dr. mario. Being a lot more streamlined for todays gamer, I find it fun and entertaining. However with the most recent update im experiencing more crashes than ever which for me isn't that big of a deal, but when i lose a life because of your crashes and it takes half an hour to get one back it's rather annoying. Annoying enough for me to only rate 2 stars until the system is fixed and the crashes stop.

This was one of my favs growing up. I was excited to see it and play it. it looks great and they translated it well to the phone format, but it is glitchy. I keep getting communication errors. This causes the game to freeze and in some cases just back out of the game completely. very disappointing. I am giving this a three and not a one because it has great graphics and is very usable. Without the communications error it would be a 5. As it is, I can't play it.

As much as I'd like this to be the new Candy Crush, theres simply too much stopping it from being that. First, much like any other mobile Nintendo game, a constant wifi connection is needed, instantly making it less convenient to play on a plane, bus or anywhere else. Secondly, the time it takes to get into a level is a bit too long, compared to Candy Crush, where its relatively quicker. Finally, the microtransactions are a bit too excessive.

Love the game and that it reminds me of the Dr. Mario I played as a kid. But it doesn't make sense to lose a life if I beat the level, regardless of whether ot not I'm replaying it to get a better score. Also really laggy, loading times are annoying, but hoping that will improve with time. I have gotten errors in the past, mid level that kick me out. I still lose a life. Today it happened twice where I was in the middle of a level and lost a life because of an error.

Chr. B. Jul 21, 2019

The load times in this game are unbelievable, if you so much as let you screen time out or switch apps for 2 seconds you'll have to spend 30 seconds loading when you come back. I love Dr Mario, even have a tattoo from way back. I really enjoy this game, but the load times are making me want to uninstall. I can't think of a single other app that can't handle being switched away from or having the screen time out. Frustrated.

This game is a blast. Definitely a more "mobile" version of the old school, including things like limited lives that run out and you either need to wait or pay for more. Obviously, if you're putting money into it, you're going to be a lot better off, but regardless, it's good gameplay. The errors though, guys. You're killing me. It makes it difficult to consistently stay engaged in playing while also having the game give you an error communication that lasts for way, way too long.
