Nice app. Not very intuitive though. Running the life expectancy test had me making noise for the neighbors for a good while with no results. I'm not sure if the app froze or whether I should have kept the pedal floored for longer. Paid for the app to perform a test which doesn't seem to work.

Warning: Dr. PRius/Googleplay will steal your money if the paid app is incompatible with your car. Even though the app details claim that it is compatible with the Camry Hybrid, that did not prove to be the case with my 2021 car. The paid app gave bizarre readings on the battery test. (114% health?) Refund request was rejected. Zero stars. Thieves.

Great App Jack! Unfortunately I could not get the Battery Life test to work in a '08 Toyota Highlander. The charging state hovered around 43% for about 30 seconds and then jumped to 65%ish within a few seconds. With the AC and headlights on the current draw was not steady. It would bounce between 3 and 7 amps. I'm not sure how the AC works but it was about -5 C outside, so it's possible the compressor was stopping. Any other way to draw enough power? Could also be the cheap Amazon OBD2.

again fail on Li traction battery,tested on Corolla 2019 twice,with OBDLink and Panlong .I have error at the end when engine start to charge battery(at 50%).I made some screen captures with abnormal voltage readed by cells,abnormal battery temperature...

Tried the Pro version before a family member bought a Toyota aqua and was very impressed with the accuracy. One thing I would like is to be able to do the same with my mazda axela 2014 hybrid. It uses the same 28 blade pack/system as a standard prius, but the app cannot determine the SOC so I can't do a battery test (it can still measure the voltage of the modules though). Would love to be able to check how the battery is doing.

Hey guys! I'm keen to use your app, but it kicks me out as soon as it got connected through wifi. My phone is Oppo reno 4 5g and scanner is Vgate I car pro. If you could have a look on that and fix, that would be sweet. Cheers

Using an Elm 327, it connects quick to Torque every time and works flawlessly. It won't connect to Dr Prius.

Wonderful data polling, helpful diagnostics, full trip reports are great and developer is still actively working on the app, a must have if you want to know more about how your hybrid works beyond the graphics on your dashboard. Check out the apps' website for reccomended ODB sensors to avoid frustration

I buy the Repair shop license today on Dr.Prius app But Bluetooth is connecting on obdII but it wont show the battery testing percentage Any demo video to learn how to use this app

Why I'm not able to connect thru WIFI? I use an Viecar adapter.

Great app, showing useful metrics and helping understand what's going on inside my Lexus. Not giving 5 stars because the app is not working in background (minimized) or with locked screen (can't override temperature for whole trip without draining phone with screen on). Would be great and extremely useful to have that app working in background continuously if started and connected.

7/19/20 This app is useless. My phone AND THE APP show that a bluetooth connection has been established, but NOTHING functions after the connection is established with the OBDII. Moreover, when you close the app, turn off the car, remove the OBDII, and start the car again, it throws a check engine light that you have to take other steps to turn off. This app should be immediately removed from the app store.

I am a professional automotive mechanic. I wanted to check the hybrid battery in my newly acquired 08 Highlander Hybrid. I am thoroughly impressed with the accuracy of this app and I'll be getting my boss to purchase the professional unlimited use version for the shop. The only thing I would recommend would be to add circuit noise detection. Corrosion on the traction battery bus bars can cause false internal resistance readings.

5/19 Revising my review after contacting dev and getting refund for incorrect second charge, new rev improvements in usability and help video links. Must have when shopping for a used Prius and test battery health. Make sure you go through the tutorial video (now listed above and in app) as it's stressful to figure it out during a car purchase test drive and there is a lot to it. "Life Expectancy" test is life saver before purchase, but take 10+ min. "Full battery test" is quick. both are paying. Wish cost was more upfront in description but guessing it varies by time/country (paid $9 for 3 cars tests but was blocked on my second car with only the $29 Pro option (not even pro rated ?) due to a glitch and bad cell service. Dev refunded me. He also released new rev that addressed some UX issues I had with app.

Been very helpful my ECU throws battery codes everyday. It drives horribly until I clear the codes then it's back to normal. I don't understand what the colors mean specifically. It needs a legend or something to explain the colors. Also the on app purchases are a bit on the pricey side. If it was 5$ even say 8$ I would have bought it by now. And they both should be included In the price not 1 each.

'05 Prius, Bafx elm327 adapter, LG G7. Battery test works great. Unable to disable traction control. Other listed features are advertised for 3rd gen, which isn't clear prior to purchase. Overall I'm happy with it. I would like to know if it's user error on the traction control or if that is also a 3rd gen feature.

It could have been great, had they offered a trial test of the battery maybe here is the life expectancy, but give me $5 and I will tell you how each module is, or one time test. I would have probably not rated or 4 star if it said $9 is the only price for running any battery test. Now I have odb2 and the software is almost just as expensive.

I love the timely update the app developer has provided. I highly recommend this app to any one with a compatible Hybrid vehicle. Thanks for whoever develop this app, even the free features were able to help me find error code and find the problem cell easily.

I got its paid version but it's not working well with my Prius C 2017 Model...my car battery doesn't charge fully because of 20:80 Ratio to maintain healthy batteries so both life expectancy and battery tests of Dr hybrid stuck between somewhere & remains incomplete. I have tried many times with greater acceleration,No result, but it works good with Torque pro & nothing wrong with Obd scanner. Can anyone help me in this regard,..its highly appreciated.

Worked great for three cars, accurate diagnostics! But then the app stopped connecting. to the Panlong adapter. I got the Panlong adapter since it was highly recommend in the Dr P info sheet, but after 3 uses the app refuses to connect to the bluetooth and sends a mssg about something being "too long" and lots of numbers and other geek gibberish. Sending the Panlong back to Amazon for a refund this week thinking it is defective. Maybe something else is wrong? Any ideas what went wrong guys? UPDATE. I replaced the Panlong adapter with a Veepeak one some months ago and all is working great again! Wonderful app you have. Very satisfied for the most part. Highly recommend to Prius owners. The only suggestion I have concerns the numbering system the app has for the "blocks." Today I finally figured out that the Number 1 block is next to the battery computer (the one on the far right as you are facing the rear of the car like you are kneeling on the rear seat cushion) and is not at the far left side like some chat forums say when discussing block numbering. You should make this fact more clear in your instructions please. I was rather confused for some time before this revelation today.

Useful app, bought a license. Using a Carista obd2 adapter and the life test completed fine, but there are 2 problems with the app: 1. I'm using Android 10 on a Honor View 10 device. Dr. Prius, despite having all the permisions needed, complains about not finding or not being able to create the directory or file. No mention of the path in Settings, maybe it would be a useful option. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, the same. 2. There should be more info reg. batt. params, how to spot anomalies.

Excellent app, very well laid out data and easy to use with clear instructions for how to perform the relevant tests. I'm using it on a 2010 toyota camry hybrid with 260,000+ kms and was great peace of mind to know my battery life expectancy is still 63%. Takes the stress of the unknown battery in buying used cars. I recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a Toyota hybrid now. Thanks

Yes connection to Prius was working after rebooting so torque apparently lockedup the BT. Upgraded to pro in order to run battery life expectancy tests. The first attempt failed to get through step 1 after a long attempt, maybe something was too warm. Next try went smoothly.

Works well but have not seen any thing that explains the graph columns going up and down and changing colours they make no sense to me. I look forward to the video when it is done and the extra star I an give

What is included in the free app? This info isn't even in the app itself. I'd happily give you money of I knew what the difference was. The thing seems not to tell of you have real data coming through or not. I got linked up and have no idea what features work (no prompt to buy anything). The codes it spit out were not real codes for the ecu or HV system (or were wrong). Having a list for all features from free to full price should be on this page for what seems to be the top toyota app.

Updated: App had an error but they were quick to respond and quickly found the bug. They resolved it and pushed out the update all in less than 24 hours and were very good at communicating and following up.

I had difficulty to buy it and then use it, because my obd scanner disables phone internet access. However it works now. I did a battery life expectancy test and it worked giving me an idea how long it will last. Good app, just difficult to use with wifi obd scanner.
