It seems to me I should have the choice of just rejecting or ignoring friend requests instead of taking up so much time sending out friend codes, ya know? I ain't got time to send out a new code everytime, I'm trying to get to a panel!!! Also the whole thing feels a bit messy. Scrolling is an issue. It jumps/skips while I'm looking through events and then I have to do insane amounts of scrolling up to find where I was to begin with. & the search results aren't alphabetical.
The software is difficult to use. It has potential to be easier to use than the print edition. Trying to find what I want filtered by hotel, date, and time was a complete waste of my time! Getting directions between hotels was another wasted effort. It should tie into our gps software on our smartphones to provide live turn-by-turn directions and thrn continue with that once we enter the buildings.
Let's face it, it's the only app for DragonCon, so it's not like they'll fix it. Still, there are a number of problems experienced on a Pixel XL 2. First, the app will randomly disable the back button, so every time you try to add a friend, you're stuck on the profile of another friend. Even removing them from friends doesn't fix this. The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app. But the app doesn't remember anything about you. Friends? Gone. Schedule? Gone. Hours of your life? Gone.
App works okay during Con. Be sure to pre-load all the PDFs before data signal drops. The earlier problem with constant reloading has improved. My biggest complaint is that I essentially have to delete the app before each new year or it locks down. New profile each year. No history of past panels attended.
Can't Dragon Con without this app! It really does improve a bit every year. A few things: Scrolling is a bit wonky and jumpy. Also, would be great to have the Photo Sessions in their own category like Gaming instead of mixed in with the Events/Panels.
When you exit the events section while a filter is on, the filter becomes stuck when you go back into events. I had to uninstall then reinstall to fix the problem. Doing this loses my account and anything I've saved. Please fix.
When opening the app I get error message "Unable to connect to server". When I email from the option on error message and from app store I an undeliverable email. Seems there is no support for this app.
The only thing more horrendous than the UI/UX and incredibly glaring accessibility problems of this app, is the fact that not only did someone get paid to make an app this terrible, but someone actually looked at this and thought "my god this is a perfect"
Will not update. I have tried several times to uninstall & reinstall & It will not work. This is really aggravating. It makes it much harder to navigate the Con.
it was very helpful, in planning and going about the time spent at the con. It also let's you connect with people you meet at the con. great app.
Makes the con visits doable. Having a complete schedule on hand is a must. Having the ability to find friends is a big bonus.
App does not work for Samsung Galaxy9. I am on my 8th reinstall, and still it crashes to homescreen. This is during the friday OF con.
During peak times (ex. Sat 8/31/2019) there's a lag of 5 to 10 seconds on every user selection, click, drag. You Android devs can do better.
Great tool to take advantage of the con. It has limitations, but considering the amount of people and events it helps significantly sort through the chaos.
The app profile editor is a little buggy, i have to use my keyboard to be able to scroll low enough to save. Galaxy s10+ also reported with in app reporter
2021 app will not install convention updates. Gets about 90% downloaded, and stops. Galaxy Note 10+ 5G running Android 11. Cleared cache & data, uninstalled, rebooted device... same results. Updated ok on Galaxy Tab S6, but not Note 10+
2019 schedule will not update. Tried deleting a few times and reinstalling. No fix at this current time as it repeata to be a server issue.
Same problems as others report. I havr de/reinstalled several times. Repeatedly tells me that servers cant be reached. I have no other apps with connection issues to their servers.
I just use it for sorting out all the panel i want to see and look at the maps. So for what i use it for its great.
2021 convention is out. App is still buggy as Hell. Won't update even though an update dropped on the 21st. This app is USELESS. Obvi the junior varsity team is doing development because the volunteers are fleeing the sinking ship.
I love the app, but for some reason today (Saturday August 31 2019) it would not open. I tried updating it to see if that would fix it, but it did not.
every time i try opening the app, it says "unable to connect to server" please fix this bug or tell me how to avoid it :(
Everything is great except I can't update my profile because I can't scroll far enough down to see the save button. Google Pixel 3XL
Super buggy. Having the user uninstall and reinstall isn't a valid fix for an issue.
Worked more than fine for me with little to no issues. At most I just had to have a little patience for a page to load. 3s tops though
It's not an obvious and rather counterintuitive that friends aren't added at the friends panel, but the attendees tab on the main page. More importantly, events that cross midnight appear on the agenda, but not the schedule. The schedule is the default, which is frustrating. Links to exhibitor websites get an error page, although links to Facebook pages apoear to work correctly. On the plus side, the maps are great and easy to read and the event filters are super helpful.
