It gets tiresome as it takes 3-5 months just to complete 1 game. The whole point of this RPG is farm and grind; Eat seeds, find the best equipments, and progress through. Story is abysmal and battles become repetitive. I appreciate it, but needs more glow to be more appealing. There is a sequel with better graphics, but why advertise it here in android when it operates in a different operating system(windows)?

Absolutely fantastic. I love old school rpgs, especially dragon warrior. This game brings back all those memories, but it's even better. I think the most impressive aspect though is not only the story and game play, but the UI. There's a setting that you can use to auto recast spells that is incredibly convenient and the character and inventory screens are very user friendly.

A breath of fresh air for mobile RPG'S. A true old-school, turn-based RPG with little in the way of graphics but overpowered with simplicity and playability. I love the battle system and the item menu. This was definitely made by true RPG fans. Now there just need to be more of these.

Great, old school rpg reminiscent of games from the '80s and '90s. Lots of content, large world. However there it's WAY too much grinding. It feels like 90+% of the game. It's so tedious I eventually just stopped playing. Grinding in one place for hours gets very boring about the second or third day, repeat in the next area. It eventually doesn't feel worth it any more to get to the end. Late game especially is more chore than fun, after "seeding" becomes necessary. Too boring to finish.

This game has good graphics story ect.,like the legend of zelda link to the past. I was really stoked to play this game, come to find out the controls arnt that good slow movement clunky. Worst part is no basic instructions when you start the game it doesn't tell you how to equip your gear.Very disappointing.

I wanted to write an excessively detailed review of this game, but there actually isn't room on the Google Play Review restrictions, so here's a bullet point list. - Combat is repetitive, and the challenge in the game comes not from fighting, but enduring literally hours of random encounters as you navigate pointless mazes, and figure out how to build your party to last indefinitely against a hoard of the same fights over and over again. - The story is so vague and cryptic that after more than ten hours of game play I still don't understand why I'm doing anything. - The characters are flat and uninteresting, both your own and NPCs. - Even with invisibility potions, which are meant to repel random encounters, you still have to fight an enemy roughly every (no exaggeration) six steps in many areas. - Your inventory becomes crowded with monster parts for unnecessary side quests, 90% of which you will never complete. - Grinding is not an option, but a necessity, else you will die repeatedly in spite of the best strategies you can muster. The list could honestly go on, but again, I am out of space. There are far better RPGs out there - so go play one of them instead.

I have been playing this game on and off since it first came out(possibly even the beta don't remember for sure) way back when I had a windows phone. Let me start with a warning. If you are new to these types of games they can be a grind but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable, just not for everyone. The game has a fairly diverse number of classes to build your party from, duplicates allowed and let's you change it in game. It is definitely worth a play or well many.

Update. Still love it. It's huge and well worth the buy. Only objections is that it gets grindy at times and no easy way of configuring the team. I went with two mages and no way I will level up another char to 90+ Love it. Great balance, size/playtime (100+ hours) but I find too grindy at times. Stuck at the Norwind dragon - clear mobs when I was lvl 48 but couldn't stand a c5hsnce against the boss - that lead to a few days of lvl'ing up. Hope to see DB2 on Play Store too!

I'm really late to the party. Just loving this old school rpg. Lots of great elements. I always loved the ability to choose your party member in early FF games and this brings back old memories. Small complaint, is the grinding is brutal from one area to the next

This is the best old school RPG I've played since the 90s! People have complained about the grinding, but I dont gind it bad so far (by level 50). Lots of classes, huge variety of monsters, well paced charater growth, and a few side quests keep it interesting. The story isnt as involved as FF, but enough to keep you hooked. Love this game!

I don't like the controls. Doesn't matter if I use the pad or point & click. My character goes to the right or left when I try to go straight. Also takes too long to be able to do the next quest. Everything is priced high & hard to level up. Map needs fixed too.

Decent old school jrpg but in my opinion, it requires too much grinding from the player. The 30+ hours of repetitive grinding just to progress the story by a miniscule amount is a bit excessive. I felt this mechanism did not take after old school jrpgs but rather new mmo gatcha rpgs; which I did not enjoy and ultimately caused me to not be able to finish the game. Other than that, it would seem to be okay.

It's not the same, i saw the samples of the old game, the old graphics, the good old time and was sourly disappointed that all that has changed. Im sure it is a good game, but it is not the dragon's blade i know and love, the one i devoted hours into and loved more than any other game. I hope you see this, and i hope you bring the old dragon's blade back

Great FREE Turn Based RPG .. Only downside , for me at least , is that the game crashes often and sometimes after long plays through dungeons .. Leaving me with no save and being set back .. This could be my dumb phones fault though .. If you like Oldschool Turn Based RPGs , I highly reccomend trying this game ..!

I loved this game on the pc but on android it's a bit naff for one reason so far: the controls. Both the D pad and point and click are sluggish, awkward and clunky. If the devs looked at Doom&Destiny controls, they'd be better off using that way of doing things.

Stellar! This game has great potential; lacks animation, BUT, it's intriguing. Consistently. Monster encounter rate is kinda high; has a Final-Fantasy-grind-ey-feel to it. In need of story build up, However! Dragon's Blade is a game I recommend you play! Give it a chance! With support, this could be the next Golden Sun!

Great game. Good story. And hard just like a old school nintendo game. Thats why you get 5 stars. Because you made a classic style game which is fun and easy. To many people want high resulution graphics. Yet they dont understand how a simple arcade game like you built can be more fun

It's a fun game and I've played it for years, restarting, but I wish they would update it so that it's like the Nokia version, with the better models and online save codes. I will continue to play for a long time.

The game is okay. Nothing really appealing to the players or mind blowing. The graphics are mediocre. This game has a part 2 which is infinitely better than this. Sadly, it seems that the part 2 will never come to android since it looks like the creator simply doesnt want too even though DB2 is a big hit on Windows and a lot of people are asking for a android release of DB2, the creator is simply ignoring those requests

If you're looking for an offline turned based rpg game this is for you. This is basically dragon quest 1-3 old school but hey it's free and fun. I'm having a blast but it isn't gonna give you an easy time like most RPGs. Don't expect to one shot everything. This is honestly fun and I recommend it.

I love the game, and i guess theres a lot different from the windows one... Well, this game more handy... But I feels like didnt like the heroes row, feels like awkward in some way.. also the map too big, I cant see anything. Wheres the zoom? And I cant understand the story well

I love the old school feel, and not being locked into a certain character or party make up. most games, every play is the same, this one reminds me of an updated FF1. awesome!

The auto battle is so random and very hard to use. One time you use a spell in battle, boom they remember; another time where they used another spell they don't, even if it is repeated. The auto battle feature is too chaotic

Best offline game ever. No waiting, super long story I have not been able to beat it yet and I've been playing this game over 3 yrs and on 3 different phones. Im still trying to beat it. Super fun and addictive game

Spa. Nov 5, 2019

The game is too hard and cruel especially in the first towns dungeon mine, the monsters are not as forgiving inside as they are outside areas. If you want to get this game rolling, it is better to lower the first towns mine dungeons difficulty to always being 1 area below the current one that way it puts users at ease to heal mentally before going back out to the harsh new areas stronger, plus it might make the game kind of more addicting.

Sim. Jan 15, 2019

great and addictive game, I enjoy it.... reason it loses 3 stars is very time consuming, and worse of all, game crashes at the end of the game when trying to enter the tower after entering the dragon blade portal
