DragonBox Algebra 12+ gives players a greater understanding of what mathematics is all about: objects and the relationships between objects.
This educational game targets children from the ages of 12 to 17 but children (or adults) of all ages can enjoy it. Playing doesn’t require supervision, although parents can enjoy playing along with their children and maybe even freshen up their own math skills.
DragonBox Algebra 12+ introduces all these elements in a playful and colorful world appealing to all ages.
The player learns at his/her own pace by experimenting with rules that are introduced gradually. Progress is illustrated with the birth and growth of a dragon for each new chapter.
Dr. Patrick Marchal, Ph.D. in cognitive science, and Jean-Baptiste Huynh, a high school teacher, created DragonBox Algebra 12+ as an intuitive, interative and efficient way to learn algebra.
DragonBox Algebra 12+ is based on a novel pedagogical method developed in Norway that focuses on discovery and experimentation. Players receive instant feedback which differs from the traditional classroom setting where students can wait weeks for feedback. I love this app! We homeschool and I have always had a hard time teaching my kids algebra. While this game doesn't cover everything, the core concepts became very clear and easy to apply after using it. I wish there were more games like this!
love it. played it through during the summer because my teacher did a bad job of explaining algebra. This is wonderful and introduces it as a game and slowly switches to letters and numbers.
Each play in the game uses pictures to represent numbers. It doesnt make sense unless you already know what the moves represent. Like a frog on top of a frog, and you slide them together to create something that looks like an egg. That represents creating a whole number from a fraction, creating 1 from 2/2. But you wouldn't know that just from playing the game. Maybe in conjunction with school lessons, it might have some value.
I'm tired of low quality free games with tons of ads. I'd rather pay for quality content. This was easily worth 8 dollars.
Currently taking an algebra class... Found the pictures confusing. Kind of wished there was an option to have pictures or numbers/letters...
Great game! The price is TOTES worth it! It is hard to beleive that it teaches algebra! My little sisters LOVE it! If you or one of your kids hate (learning) algebra this app is pertect for you! Get this app!
Love this app, played this game all the time as a kid and now if I struggle in math I imagine the figures and methods the game has and it becomes easy.
Brilliant step-by-step progression in a fun game. Teaches algebra while you aren't even aware it's more than a game.
I bought this app a few years ago and it suddenly malfunctioned and wouldn't let me in. Now I have deleted it and downloaded it again but don't know how to pick up from where I left to include my paid version. I can provide a copy of my receipt. Please help.
Beautiful design, really great teaching skills - you miss a maket of grown ups who would love MUCH more B-side ..... easy to make, good to sell, just pass me 12% :-))
Dosnt help at all, waste of money. When you actually need todo algebra without this game theres no way of figuring it out without having loads of help

the game is cropped on OnePlus 7 pro. the game sims zoomed in and lower resolution.

I had fun with this but my 4 year old is obsessed with this game. Of course, he has no idea what he's doing and for the harder levels, he just watched the playback... But he scoffs at the easy ones on Side B now. You've made a great game! We'd love some more worlds to go through.
I love that this app takes the math out of algebra! Instead, it focuses on teaching the concepts in a way that bypasses the student's fear of the topic. It gamefies the concepts so students learn algebra the same way they learn other games.
Clever use of gaming for learning. I wish more computer based learning could be this innovative. It is a lot of fun, & children love it.

I am really enjoying this app, let's me practice algebra but without feeling like I'm studying. Really finding its becoming 2nd nature
I've played the game for about an hour or so. My rating isn't a reflection of the quality of the app, but more so a reflection of it not suiting my learning style. I don't really like the little pictures, I much prefer just numbers and algebraic letters, it confused me to a point where equations I could solve outside of this app, I got confused on. Lastly, it's an issue for my learning style...I'm more of a need to know learner. this game explains your specials but not actual rules to algebra.
