dream Player TV for TVheadend

Retried this app again. Developer was responsive to my queries. I have upgraded my TVHeadend to version 4.3 in the hope it will pass-through HbbTV info to this app. Unfortunately HbbTV / Catch-up services is supported only on German broadcasts - according to the developer. So no support for HbbTV / Catch-up services for other regions with similar DVB-T2 broadcast standard.

This is without doubt the best way to watch TV from your tvheadend server on your TV. I have this on my Sony Android TV as well as on another TV via an Amazon Fire TV stick. There are occasional crashes but there are lots of plus points such as the genre view and the automatic picon downloads. It is a shame I ended up paying for the premium app twice though (Amazon and Google appstores don't speak well) but still worth it.

Excellent player!! I removed one star because when it returns the channel numbers to the AndroidTV live channels system it uses the channel's ordinal position as the number, vs. the channel's actual number (which is verified as available). Otherwise, an excellent application! UPDATE: It turns out it was an ID-10-T user error 😂🤷‍♂️...added one star for both not having the problem I saw, and the speed with which the developer responded!

Needs polish. When I am watching a channel and hit up arrow (fast switch menu) is not as fast as i would like. When in fast switch menu, scrolling up and down is fine, but hitting right and left should switch between the tags on the TVH server, not give me unwanted EPG info (if i want EPG info i would have hit down for the overlay EPG). The way it stands i have to go back to the main menu to switch tags (not good). When i select a channel (in the fast switch menu) I dont want a pop up asking me if i want to switch... I want to tune in right away. Put all that extra stuff in the EPG overlay (down arrow menu). Also, in the up arrow menu its hard to distinguish the channel name from the current programming, make programming italic and give it a different color.

Great app. But for some reason I cannot purchase the premium version. It keeps telling me I have no Wi-Fi when I try to purchase. I have tried Ethernet and two separate Wi-fi routers. Very confusing. Was looking forward to testing it out with my TVH Linux box.

Edit: changed from 3 stars to 5. I faced a software bug during my initial trial. However, After discussing the issue with the developer, the problem was promptly resolved and now works perfectly for my needs. Thank you for the app.

Great app, It has a lot more options than some others I have used. I'm still learning my way around it. The developer seems active and engaged.

Works okay, Live channels integration needs work, EPG too slow to update, seems to only hold about 24 hours of data and doesn't update fast enough.

works okay, playback via live channels is sluggish and audio is out of sync. direct pkayback in app works ok.

Good app for TVHeadEnd. Works with numbers on TiVo Stream remote.

Hello, Image freeze each time when subtitle appear. why or what setting is to be made

Trying to get a refund and can't find the Refund Button...Freezes on NVIDIA Shield just like Kodi unfortunately.

Utterly broken on Android TV. Unable to authenticate. Probably using the insecure plain authentication.

Hi i buy this app, version for android tv. I realy like this app :) can you pleas fix picons scaling in android tv 8.0 ( new luncher) ? In app, picons scaling is ok.

Very bad app i have htpc runing in ubuntu and i installed tvhedend and this dream player didnot work at all and i get erreur with usernsme and password every time
