Dream Town Story

Tired of tedious town simulators taking up your time? Develop dream dwellings down to the last brick and construct cityscapes crawling as far as the eye can see in this stimulating simulation game!

Compete with other towns in the rankings, or take it easy and go at your own pace.

Build houses to have people move into your town, then add shops and lots of other facilities, making it a vibrant, lovely place to live. Stores like the bike shop or car dealer will sell vehicles to your residents, allowing them to travel further and visit more places.

Acquire more areas as your town grows, discover new facilities to build, help the residents find new jobs, plan the town down to the last detail to make sure it's convenient for everyone... There is just so much to do!

Once you get settled into your town, try co-op mode, which will enable you to team up with other players and build towns together.

If I wasn't busy making more amazing games, I'd be playing Dream Town Story all the time!

I can definitely see myself playing this long term. Two days in, and I'm already hooked! I have two issues, one is with the time stamp on building... It's (min/hr) backward. It should be hr minute. Secondly, I get overwhelmed by the constant interruptions of unnecessary dialogue. I noticed an option to stop the characters talking in the settings, but it did not help to reduce or prevent the pop-ups. Beyond these reasons, I'll keep playing!

I was worried this would be either too much to figure out or too much tutorial, but it's neither. There's a bit of strategy to it but it's something that can be played leisurely without thinking too much. It's also got cute graphics. It's especially fun to rename every citizen a terribly offensive name that vaguely sounds like their original one.

I'm a huge fan of Kairosoft, I love all of your games, especially this one. I've been playing Dream Town Story on and off over the years, but the latest update disappointed me. There are so many bugs. My first resident has default 7 IQ, and as soon as she moved in it suddenly dropped from 7 to 2 :) ? Secondly, the game freezes and crashes everytime someone enters a contest. And I wish exclusive pass were a 1-time purchase...

This is my second time playing this game and I just remember why I left the first time. It's because of the exc pass. Can't access some items which I need. But I love the art style. It's also good when you just want to relax while playing. Love to see the neighborhood growing gradually and plan ahead as possible as I can. I just really wish the pass is not a monthly thing to pay.

Pro: Great game, lots of options, sweet graphics, no energy/time limitation, bought currency exchange rate is good, doesn't heat up phone and doesn't drain battery. πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Con: Would like an option to enable/block house upgrades. (For the sake of a pretty city with different areas) Needs an easy way to see which citizen lives where. (For placing house near workplace) Also doesn't have an offline play option.

As always with Kairo, the pixel art is amazing and that becomes the main motivation to start the game. Contains very little need for P2W. Sense of progression is adequate. Rules and the many different aspects of the game can be obverwhelming at first. Double-tapping some stuff is required to launch certain windows -- this is not as intuitive as one would think.

I started to enjoy playing this game. But then suddenly, you have to upgrade to premium for you to be able to continuously play after your 3rd to 4th year which was kinda frustrating because you've put a lot of effort already then suddenly you have to pay which I thought was free tbh. Should have just released the paid version itself and a separate trial/demo app just like your other games. But really, it's an addicting game. Would I be this disappointed if the game was horrible? Haha

This is a really fun game! for the first 20 ranks or so. The ranking system is so slow and exhausting. The only way to make any meaningful steps towards ranking up is to build businesses (which eventually you don't have enough residents to sustain because of the limit) or houses (which you don't have enough residents to fill because of the resident limit). I found myself wasting huge amounts of money on building things just to destroy them in order to rank up. Too slow to enjoy.

Love this game. This company makes fantastic games. Addictive and fun. Edit: after 40 consecutive days of playing, here's my takeaway: Must complete offers to continue to play part a certain level. I was able to increase my max town level twice without doing so. But this is where you either have to pay money, click advertisements, or spend weeks just collecting the daily challenges... If min-maxing is your thing, you'd be able to get as far as I'm suggesting. I like the game, hate the leveling.

really enjoying the game! I had to uninstall it once just to do a redo, but once I figured it out what all was going on its been going really well! last night I was so frustrated with it and wouldn't have wrote the same review lol. but I restarted last night and haven't been able to put it down since. best advice I can give is don't rush into buying new land!!!

This game is quite popular, and I like that. Kairo Land can help with getting friends who play this game as well. I love the simple graphics, but the money system needs some work.. Spend to much and then oops, you gotta pay microtransactions (if its a very high negative number, by that I mean -400 or more), or wait for the game to help you out of that debt. Other then that common ordeal, great game! 4 stars overall, 5 for both graphics and controls, yet 4 on the gameplay.

it is a lot of fun but it is very much a play to win kind of game. I would recommend saving up the diamonds as much as you can for something you will want. also the fact that it puts a limt on the four necessarys that you get and then shows you a prize box that is worth more than what you can gather up is incredibly annoying and frustrating.

I've tried a bunch of Kairosoft games and this one is by far the best! Super fun, active player base, lots to do, good graphics, and the laid options aren't crazy expensive. I wish you didn't have to buy an Exclusive Pass to move more than 2 items a day, and I'd love an option to restart your town with all of your current buildings and such. It's easy to stick with F2P since they give you lots of chances to get diamonds. Definitely worth the download!

I like this game, a lot. The graphics, the gamestory, everything about it is perfect. I am, however, wondering if there is any way we can save our town to an account (maybe Facebook or Google account), so when we change our phone, we can have our developing town back without losing all the progress. Please let me know if there is any way to do that. Thank you! Much love and support from Indonesia!

Dream Town Story has been quite a fun experience. I have been playing for almost two weeks now and have leveled up to rank 18 which has been fairly easy but not too hard. It has relaxing gameplay and works smoothly on my phone. You can do quite alot without resorting to in-game purchases. For controls, some improvements could be made in the area of sensitivity when placing buildings or moving buildings etc... Also give more chances of aquiring building combos.

This game is the greediest it's ever gotten. :/ I'm really disappointed in you, Kairosoft. You offer a paid MONTHLY subscription instead of paying for a deluxe version like the other games. Not only that, but you can't even use the move button, something the other games allow you to use for free, without paying. The mini battles are strange and weird as well with no skip button. You can't do anything in them and are forced to watch buildings shoot lasers at each other. What the hell?

Pretty cool game except when you pay for the pass you the game still makes you use in game currency for certain things the pass already made available. For example the moving feature cost 10g or so with the game pass that cost $5.32 (includes tax). Without the pass you only get 2 free moves per day. That's a huge disappointment especially when you paid almost 6 dollars to be able to move structures around unlimited. Yet you still pay 10g per move ridiculous.

Vic. H. Mar 10, 2020

This is a super cute and addictive town building sim, but while it's fun for a time and definitely worth a play, there eventually comes a point where you really need to pay to get any further, with certain buildings you might need for a combo seemingly impossible to find otherwise, and the limit imposed of only being able to move two buildings per day without unlocking the exclusive (paid subscription) pass is also pretty annoying.

Ope. S. Nov 5, 2019

I tried it again to remember why stopped it in the first place. It's a worse version of Edo Towns/Venture Towns which was fun and had faster pace. This mess is slow as hell with a requirement of a monthly sub for basic functions like: faster speed or infinite command to move buildings. Not only move costs ingame cash but on top you have 2 moves a day. It's insane.

Great game until level 40+, it will get to a point where you're unable to remove obstacles without diamonds. At level 47 I need 257 research points to remove an obstacle but my max is 255. If I remove any more obstacles, the cost will increase even higher. You can opt to pay diamonds if you dont have enough, but rather than pay the difference to make up for the 3 points you're short, say 3-4 diamonds, it's around 80 diamonds. I won't buy the pass again due to this.

This game was so much fun! Me and my friend would challenge each other to see who could get the farthest each day, but there is one issue. I have no way to restart the game and I would SO play it on my tablet, but something keeps going wrong. Understandable, it is pretty old!! Totaly recomend this and other Kairosoft gamesπŸ‘πŸΌ!!!

It's very cute, I love the graphics. In this game you can win a lot of prizes, money and diamonds without even using real money, although it would be totally worth it. 😍 Some combos do not take effect and sometimes they make you lose money instwad of generate profits. That would be the only complain I can think of. 😊

Ann. M. Aug 22, 2019

I find myself returning to this game every few months. I love the gameplay and want the Exclusive Pass but $8 a month is completely unreasonable for such a small difference in the game. If there was a one-off price, I would probably pay it but a monthly cost (even if I can quit when I want) seems unreasonable for a mobile game of any kind

Zoe. D. Dec 8, 2020

The game itself is really fun but I find the challenges to get the land nearly impossible especially since you cannot make a character go to a certain store. Another thing I found was it's very hard to progress with the lack of diamonds and real life money. If things improved I'd definitely give five stars. I'm personally a big fan of dream house story and how involved you get to be in the people's lives.

A bit heavy on the IAP but addictive. My viggest Con for the game is the UI, it needs a lot more tweaking as the longer you play the more citizens and items you get but it takes for ever to sort through them, if there was a search feature or even a toggle for diffwrent stats / alphanumeric order it would really make this game more enjoyable.

Ren. B. Oct 19, 2020

I do really like this game, but progress is way too slow, and impared. Charging for features that are in every other game you make that I have played is ridiculous. For example, moving buildings. And making that charge monthly is an extra slap in the face to Kairosoft fans. Especially when their kingdom game which is a little like this one doesn't charge that fee at all. If its ever removed, I will up this to five stars, but until then, I can not rate this game any higher.

Jac. R. Apr 20, 2022

Not gonna lie, I have a love/hate situation with this game. I love the gameplay and how you can get in depth with your citizens. I think that's cool getting to shape their lives. What I don't like is how you need to pay for a monthly subscription to be able to do certain things. Why can't we just buy it straight out? It's like $7-$8 a month for just certain items to build in town.

Jzm. R. Jun 20, 2020

My only issue is how hard it is to gain gold (game currency) due to the game's computation system where it reducts all the expenses from your total income even though you have profits that are meant to lessen the deduction. Moreover, it doesnt take into consideration of adding any of your monthly profits but merely deducts yout monthly expenses only.
