I've had version 1 of the device and upgraded recently to version 2. I understand everyone's complaints about not connecting. But I don't think most people realize that when they stick it to the back of their TV, they're basically putting behind a metal wall. If don't have a very strong signal that reaches behind the TV, you're going to have connection issues. It's great and I've had no problems with it. I wish they would add some smart home integration, but that is my only complaint.
I'm a very technical person. I'm using this with a nvidia shield and Plex. It hardly ever works with the media I play. Most of the time the lights just flicker. My thoughts to the developers, please release steady updates. Also try out shield and Plex together with different types of media. I'm almost to the point of just throwing it in the trash and waiting for someone else to do it better. If you're looking to purchase be warned it may work only 20% of the time.
I have read all of the reviews and still made the purchase. I have not had any issues with my dreamscreen. This system has changed the way my wife and I experience movies and games. I am very happy that I ignored all of the squeaky wheels and made this purchase. I wish more happy customers would leave reviews and not just the people that have bad experiences because this system is amazing. I do hope that all of the customers with. ad experiences with the system get the help they need.
Became glitchy after about 5 months. It now flickers and lights up with rainbow pattern in both the VIDEO and OFF states. Only way to make it stop is to uninstall HW. When it worked it was very cool. I opened a ticket through their website where Victor informed me to change setting to CEC port switching. It didn't fix it. I communicated that information back with a short video demonstrating the issue. I followed up again after a day passed. It's been almost 3 days now with no response.
I seem to be having HDCP handshake issues with chromecast and Xbox one x. The screen constantly goes black for a few seconds then comes back for a bit then black again. I also noticed that ARC no longer works. This used to not be the case but after recent firmware updates I started having issues
Is not working since update. I have both the HD and 4k versions. The HD version now has to be restarted everytime cause there is no audio. The 4k is a brick. When I contacted dreamscreen who has always been very receptive, they gave me some ideas to fix the problem (none that worked).
Got the complete diy kit with sidekicks and think its great my tv looks amazing. have had no issues with my Xbox one x or sky uhd. using all high end cables and not passing through an amp due to 10bit colour also using sky wifi 2.4 and 5gz. Just hope it stays that way
It almost never detects the hub. Then sometimes it will detect the hub but it won't switch hdmi inputs. You can select them but nothing happens. I do not like this app.
Dreamscreen has been great, except for the app's connectivity. I'm able to connect the app via wifi maybe 20% of the time. Very frustrating. Please fix.
People, DO NOT BUY! I paid around 360€ which doesn't work for the lights to change as per your TV screen. Then it took my item more 2 weeks to arrive, although before you pay it says 5 working days. Then I contacted customer service have stated that a replacement will be sent to me. I asked if this will resolve the problem - no response! It has been a week and half since the replacement was supposedly sent, I still have nothing. 2 more emails sent for delivery update/my questions - no response!
Starting this app takes forever... no clue what the reason is but there is no indication while starting so you're just wondering if it's doing anything for 5 seconds. After that it appears to work just fine.
This used to work. No software updates have worked. Can not sync side kicks or dreamscreen hub. I have the 4k edition and have uh disabled and it still doesn't work.
Used to be great with the HD version, but the 4K version keeps causing the tv to drop hdmi signal going black and then back on again, especially when the content is HDR HDCP 2.2.
Great App. makes install simple, and fast. Controlling the LED's and adjusting them to your preferences is made easy with the app.
I like the product, but can you fix the app so it syncs without having to keep opening and closing the app repeatedly to just change the HDMI...
Worked beautifully for about five months, then everything failed. Its just been gathering dist for the past six months. Expensive LED lighting.
No longer connects to phone even after I uninstall and reinstall. Glad I got the settings where I wanted them before it stopped communicating with my phone.
Did a factory reset because the lights weren't working properly.. now I cant even connect to my dreamscreen.. EDIT!!!! ok guys I got it back to working. I had to uninstall the app. Then reinstall it. That got everything back to normal.
It worked for about a year. Now i cant get it connected to wifi at all. Just doesn't work
Waste of money. Doesn't connect to WiFi on both my note 9 or iPad. I basically paid almost 300 for nothing.
Won't stay on. Used to be fine until they updated the app. Now not so much.
The app keeps disconnect all the time it is frustrating.
was working perfectly fine before the latest update now I cant connect the device to wifi at all
spent $350 on dreamscreen 4k total kit and can't use the app it keeps closing
Could use integration with smart home devices.
Any updates coming...bug fixes ?ect

It used to work well. I emailed them that it wasn't connecting to my Wi-Fi but they could not resolve the issue. When I open the app, I can't even go to the help menu. It just keeps telling me to retry. I upgraded to 4K WiFi from the Bluetooth dream screen which worked better than this and now I wished I stayed with Bluetooth
