Drifta (Wi-Fi)

I have been using this App on both my ios and android devivices since the inception of drifta but suddenly it stoped workin, it says "cannot connect to the channel" I took my drifta in to be checked, wen they test it on laptop thru usb cable it works but not on my devises, was issued a new one but still the same. I think there is a problem with liking via WiFi. The developer needs to fix this with an update. I'm missing out a lot and also losing by paying for zero servive😠

Installed app on Thursday to view world cup quarter finals on holiday. Tested fine. Now when I want to watch the All Blacks game - I get a device not supported error. Thanks for a crap product. Why so many security checks in place I will never understand...

For those that has an issue with the device connections, I will help u out pls pay attention..... Lunch the app first and let it too authenticate then a message will pop up and say no drita found, then switch on ur drifts and connect it try wifii then u are good to go

Very poor. Doesn't let me watch all my channels. Gives pop-up message to state you must authorize the app before you can watch, but there is no such function on the device or the phone or the app. Then off course you can't get hold of dstv on their call centre, and their self service doesn't give assistance on the drifta decoder. So it's pretty useless overall. Bring on Netflix

App needs to authenticate with Drifta and on the internet. Cant run both wifi and gsm data simultaneously. If you try cut over after device has authenticated, drops everything and fails. Some work needs to be done on that process.

Great app on kitkat, but I've updated to lollipop the app starts up and the goes blank. Please fix. Also if you guys can remove the Rooted verification and sending request over network each and every time. Thanks for the service.

The App is no longer connecting to the channels on my Galaxy Note 4, it always asks to rescan please fix this. This is an absolute joke, and to make matters worse no one ever responds to the posted reviews.

Not so great. Struggled to give it 2 stars. Doesn't work on a rooted device... Spent more than 4 days trying to get it working... Eventually sorted out, but found that the bloody software detects rooted devices. I own my device, I have the right to be the administrator thereof. My phone, my rights...

I downloaded the app and it connects to the drifta via Wi-Fi but the app does not pick up the drifta and keeps telling me to rescan even though it shows on my Wi-Fi list as been connected. Please advise as well as how to access gotv mobile

It works fine when it chooses to connect. Which is not very often. It needs more work to be done. IOs platform does a beta job in this regards

Extremely dissapointed, after first installation just didnt connect at all. A Big thumps down...

Giving it one coz it don't work on rooted devices which I see as nonsense and a waste of data

What a joke. Wont run on a rooted device, DSTV needs a wake up call.

I have a android tablet.Although it's a android device it doesn't work it connects and everything, but does not allow me to watch because of a error that says "A unsupported accessory has been attached to this device"?? Please make this app accessible for a wider variety of devices! The rest of the poor reviews say it all.

It was working great on my Telefunken tablets.. For two weeks ago it don't connect to the tablet...anybody can help by letting me know which software can I use to support the drifter app.thanks

The number one thing I hate about this app is, "sending a small authentication over the internet". Why must it authenticate every time. Why not once in a week or once in a month. Moreover, it doesn't work with all phones. I condemned my first phone because of that. Again, if you can include other news channels like Aljazeera, it will be fine. And TBN for those who are interested. We wouldn't mind paying a little extra for the service.

Useless.. All round.. Constantly in scrambled signal mode.. I waste my airtime to call over R300 worth airtime since I got this rubbish in my life and every month without fail they deduct my hard earned money.. This product is a sham

Nearly all Android devices cut out mobile connections when you connect to wifi. I can never get it to authenticate. Greatest waste of hardware ever, with worst software too. Get a grip.

Running Android 4.1.2. Drifta is right next to the tablet and powered on, WiFi active on the Tab, but not finding Drifta. Keeps asking for rescan. There is no "Auto Network Switch" settings on the WiFi settings. Waste of time.

Downloaded it on my tablet,connect to the drifta,it shows the channels,but channel don't want to open,and dstv guys don't have a clue,wow that's bad

Mr Developer, I like the App, the App works fine on my Android device. Then I tried to connect a HDMI cable via MHL so I can see the screen on TV. that's when it shows this error message: An unsupported accessory has been attached to this Android device. please disconnect the accessory and try again. now can you please investigate and fix the bug if the there is no legal constrains behind it. it would be a nice feature.

Impossible to use as it needs to send Internet auth package but can't as it's connected to the drifta so no internet access and if you try to connect afterwards it fails. Absolutely insane.

It just doesnt work, the app keeps turning off wifi and losing the connection to the drifta.

This app will decide for himself if he wants to connect or not. Would not work for days and then all of a sudden it connects.

Used to work fine on Android 5 and below but now fails to work on Android 6 marshmallow. PLEASE UPGRADE THE APP.

Not a plug an play thing as I expected lot of communication breakdowns....even when you take it multichoise assistance they also have problems
