Pretty good, does the job of letting you control the machine, once you've worked out how the app works. But the user interface makes some poor decisions on design, such as a 3x4 route display, whereas the machine's control panel is 4x3. And it could usefully add features such as a random variability around a value to give a better playing experience. Or the ability to add a description to each of the drill configurations.

After using this app for six months, it is functional, but still needs work. The only good thing in the newest version is that the battery power is now given as a percentage. This app needs a copy and paste feature to copy drills from one preset to another. Most importantly, this app needs a button that pauses input from the device so the screen can remain on and the machine can remain connected. The app dropping connection from the machine is terrible, and it does this far too often.

Bad connectivity issues: have to constantly reconnect the app to the device and sometimes even restart the app. Setting mobile's battery mode to high performance may slightly improve this, but does not fix the issues. Also the UI is rather poor: should be able to name programs, attach notes or even pictures to them, copy one to other, have different sets of programs (e.g when spinshot battery level gets lower I need to re-adjust all drills to higher speeds and/or heights).

App has connection and disconnection issues. App freezes requiring you to close and restart. That's if it doesn't freeze your phone. As of now this pricey SpinShot machine has been frustrating and a waste of my time and money. Probably should've gone with a tried and true Lobster. Definite buyers remorse if this doesn't get fixed.

I had a lot of troubles with an app connectivity. However, Spinshot worked hard with me and fixed the issue. I am satisfied with this purchase mostly. However, the battery life is too short and I cannot run more than 2 hr in my classes. I have to turn on and off this machine to save battery.

What is wrong with the app? It was perfect before the main GUI update. Now it is getting stuck all the time and doesn't work. If you want to frustrate yourself instead of have fun while you work out, go with spinshots app.

Ive had my spinshot player just over 2 years. My only complaint is the Wifi connectivity. At first it worked great, then slowly connections were frequently lost or very difficult to establish. I do not know if this is an app problem or a transmission/receiver problem. Update: 7-5-21. To Mahmoud who claims to have solved the wifi issue by tweaking his phone, I have a Motorola android and I have wifi connection problems. Can you point me in the right direction to fix? Thanks, Mark

I have used the app in 2021 with the player module and it is great, I have experienced initially the intermittent wifi connection when using Android system but after changing some settings in my phone it was perfect same as using the apple phone.

Garbage. It downloads and launches. That's it. Every aspect of its function is totally broken. Can't control the machine. There's no other way to control it but this busted 'app'. Trying to return for a refund.

I've had my Spinshot Player for 4 years and this APP needs an update because it crashes A LOT and it makes a $1700 investment sour and disappointing. It's embarrassing in front of others, it's just LAME and so FRUSTRATING. Common, with all the money they charge you think their would be some company pride to make the controller work smoothly and without all the bugs.

This app disconnects after about 30 seconds. It works long enough just to start a round of balls but needs to be closed, opened back up, connected again and then paused. What gives?

This app really needs a remake. Idk if it's the machine or the app but, I've lost connection and haven't been able to restore it. I've only had my machine 2 weeks

So far the machine is performing as well as I hoped based on reviews before we bought it. We will be getting a lot of use of this machine this summer and so far the 2-3 hours of use after charging has not been a problem. Love the machine and how easy it is to transport in the back of our Toyota Prius. I would definitely recommend buying it.

I have used this app two years already. Although the app is not a best one, I can still tolerate it. Recently it becomes non response n I have to close the app then reopen it. Sometimes it got my phone frozen.

works great! I coach tennis for a living and use this app every day. The connectivity process takes some getting use but once you understand that, it's a dream.

it is ok to use but it requires a lot of understanding of values. I need special drill set kids with graphical view.I should able to save manual mode values to drill set

Spinshot wasn't that bad but the Spinshot Player seems to be the next gen of these machines and also a fair bit cheaper than the afore-unmentioned established brand's similarly spec'd machine.

I love both of these machines and in terms of reliability and showing up on time on the court, they are far more reliable than my tennis partners....

Its getting freeze. It does not let me change drills and I have to re-start the phone

The new version App can re-edit the name of the drill. ..Good improvement
