Drive Weather

Same as other folks - paid version wouldn't work - but I followed the developer's recommendation to uninstall, reinstall, and click Restore subscription - it works fine now. I didn't give it 5 stars yet because I haven't used it on an actual trip. I will update again later this summer. Looks like a great tool and has been praised by RV travelers to help guide them.

Sort of works. Even new "UI polish" update is lacking. I get a coloured dot at random points on path, no temp #s or indicator of time at those points. Only visual indicators, which don't convey much in the way of useful, actionable data. Competing apps do, so this one is out, unfortunately.

I'd been wishing for a way to see the weather forecast along my route, and this app does it. It even allows you to calculate in your general speed, plus stops along the way. Brilliantly done! Update: Facebook is tracking folks thru many apps, and apparently Drive Weather is one of them. It's unsettling to realize the types of information they deem interesting. I don't know if the makers of DW made a deal with the devil, or if FB wormed its way in uninvited, but I'm not happy about it.

Just starting out in the paid version of the app as a truck driver therefore I'll keep everyone posted on the results. Right off the top, I think the features are slick however I would recommend a previous 3, 5 or 10day weather feature so that drivers have an idea of whether there's been recent snow, ice, etc.

Awesome app!! I have weather, calculation of arrival time ability - I use this for my car n when in the semi truck, and more. Would be great if we could touch screen where radar traps are and crashes, that is always a big help on trips. A good start to something big.

Been waiting for an app like this. Has a lot of promise but has a way to go. E.g. every time auto-rotate (portrait to landscape or vice versa) occurs the app loses the selected start day/time and resets to current TOD. Very annoying. Waypoints default to a 2 hrs stop. There seems to be a dialog to change the arrival and depart time (e.g. overnight stay) but I could not get the times to change. So the rest of the trip times are no longer relevant for planned trip. Note, I just installed the app and checking out it's features so I have no idea how well it performs or accurate while traveling. Finally, response time can be a little to a lot laggy. Hope the app continues to be developed and most importantly improved!

Good app for over the road truckers. Is in depth weather information given for you're entire trip across the country. Includes breaks and let's you plan out how long a break will last so weather information will be accurate throughout the trip. Even gives you multiple routes so that you can plan work a around bad weather events. When you have a problem the developer gets back to you immediately (during normal business hours for their location).

Installed, set up start and destinations. Route appears but but no weather icons show up, just a legend listing icons on right side. clicking any of these just displays a box asking to enter start and destination points.

I got this app because of weather concerns on a trip through the mountains where snow and rain were a high probability. This app was like a crystal ball and gave me insight into breaks in really bad weather and got us there and home safely and with no issues. Without it I would have chosen different days to drive and would've been heavily delayed and/or stuck! THANK YOU!! I will be keeping this app for all my future road tripping!

So useful when traveling long distances! We avoided tornados in FL and snow in NY. Well worth the cost of the "premium" app. Thank you for designing this!

Great app. I brought up that the wind indicators disappeared and got a response from the developer saying they updated it and they were removed by accident. Great job!

Love this app! It gives me exactly the information I need when planning my trips. I think it works beautifully! I give this 5 stars only wish when you are setting a route that all cities were listed as you must use closest major city to where you start route or end. Other than that this app is perfect!

Kind of works; kind of doesn't. Once a route has been set, it can't be unset for some reason. The UI disappears and I can't change the route or select any settings. Only fix is to clear all storage data, force close, and start again. Oneplus 8T

I paid for the upgrade. I was able to open it once. Now it won't open at all. Keep getting a message that the app closed because it has a bug. I needed this app as I am driving 7 hours in winter. A WASTE OF MONEY. Stick with the free version, at least you won't be out anything when it stops working.

LA has 10 million people. The app needs more cities. edit: LA County is 4,800 sq miles! Bigger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined. With a population larger than 42 US state populations. More city selections are needed.

Worked great for my 22 hour drive, there and back. Very handy for deciding when to leave based on snow forecasts in the mountains. Had a question and the developer emailed me back quickly. Highly recommend! Worth the premium price for ease of use on a long trip.

This is very handy app! Just make sure to go through the tutorial steps at the beginning so you know how to get the most from it. I went ahead and paid for the full features. I figured for ten bucks it was worth the extra information. Generally we spend a lot more than that on trip snacks.

Downloaded and worked for thirty minutes. Now it's stuck on a loop and glitching. Cannot even see the icons on the right side. No readings. Thank God I didn't pay for that subscription. Honestly, you should release a stable build. This APP had promise.

This App really helped my wife and I navigate through the 2 mountain ranges to get to Yuma, Arizona. Not once did we encounter snow or icy roads due to the early warnings we were able to see. When we are heading to Florida in a couple months, will use again for sure! Highly recommend and give it 2 thumbs + 2 Big Toes wayyyy UP!!! 5 🌟 's!!!

Got stuck while traveling in free ver had to uninstall. Was not able to delete current route and start again. Got a message that paid version only allows continued guidance Concept and intention of application is great

App always holds old search data and don't let me do new search. Even after force stopping it is like that.. worst user experience ever.. an ad shows up instead of search button even after clicking it never goes away..

When I first purchased the app wouldn't load. I was able to send an email. Within an few hours I had a solution. And it works. Will add more once I use it on my trip! Thanks for the help!

Extremely inaccurate app. I used this app on a trip from Texas to Montana and the weather was opposite what the app told me at every point on the trip. Do not recommend.

Since paying for premium the app crashes and won't reopen? Can I get a fix or a refund please? Thanks. EDIT: reinstalling seems to have fixed it, although it's still buggy and crashes in address mode.

Really useful in timing a trip based on what the weather will be along the route. I have avoided problems on multiple occasions. Keep up the good work.

Literally simple and fair price for a year of use. If you travel alot its much easier using an app like this than scouting weather in different cities along the way.

Difficult to use and UI poorly designed. A brilliant idea which falls short in every sense of execution. It is effectively a weather map over a period of time. No point in even having navigation as an element if you can't use it as a navigation app. Might as well just look at the weather forecast before you set off. Let down even further by the frankly rude responses to negative reviews. Put more time into making a decent app and less time into arguing with customers?

Tried the demo. Really like the interface, etc. However, won't be using because of the auto-renewal on the subscription. Sorry, but this is unnecessary. Need to make it a MANUAL renewal... not automatic. On to the next app. RESPONSE: Yes. 1 Star because of that. It's easy enough for you to offer other ONE-TIME purchasing options that don't prey on forgetful minds. This is a very old cheezy business practice from the 60's. The product seems fine, but the business practices are part of it. Change the purchase options and I'll partake.

The free version shows you very few details. It shows a birds eye view of the road and a few snowflakes here and there along the route. Same with temperatures. Also, I couldn't find a description of what the weather would be like along the route? Thats what I really wanted. Definitely needs improvement. Uninstalled app. And will try another.

Unless I missed something, useless app. *Revision after the developers reply. I was able to set my route and the app calculated the weather along that route. What I found lacking was the ability to view the weather prediction along that route with any detail. I did not find the app to be user friendly. I tried a number of times and found that the tutorial was no help. The idea is great and the app appears to import good info. The dissemination of the info, in my opinion, needs work.
