The app keeps telling me that it is pasting from my clipboard when I opened. I tried asking them in the in app contact about it, and they gave me a generic response instead of actually addressing my concerns. This just seems like an invasion of privacy. Additionally, the shown discount in the app makes no sense. I was at a 10% discount for a while, then after a bunch of trips, it changed to 7%. No speeding or hard breaking or other issues reported with the trips.

App is garbage. If you don't log 50+ trips during a term then your prices increase, if you get a new phone then you gotta start over. Ever since I got more than 50 trips logged then 1/2 the time it doesn't recognize that I'm driving or it takes hours for a trip to complete. "Contact us" doesn't do anything. Weekends during the day are apparently the safest time to drive but not true where I live. If you go 80 then it shows you're speeding but some areas that's the speed limit. Lots of issues.

App is not working properly. It does read trips properly. If you travel 6.4 miles, it only reads and calculate 2.3. Not sure what's going on with this. All I get to told is force close the App, uninstall, then reinstall the app, or make sure you have the latest version of the app. Nothing like blaming the customer for the app failure. When it's really the fault of Esurance for not having a properly functioning app.

Extremely glitchy, I have a dozen trips from days ago still "calculating". Also shows extreme braking when I was going down the interstate, no idea where that came from! Time to uninstall

Absolutely horrible.... Insurance goes up all bc app isn't working at all! Not just a little... Not at all!!!! When you "contact" them... They can't find anything wrong. But yet it's not working. Stupid... Will be finding somewhere else. I'll be paying the same sense it goes up just bc the app doesn't work.

It is constantly stuck at "trip calculating" some times forever. It's almost impossible to update trips that are passenger trips. I have to use this for my insurance, otherwise I would scrap it.

The notifications are a pain to deal with. The Low Battery notification has a Dismiss button but it won't work. Even when I charge my phone, it won't go away. If I'm getting a ride, I ignore the trip but the "running" notification does the same thing and stays. I have to restart my phone to make them go away.

Doesn't recognize open permissions. Keeps telling me permission needs to be set to"always" yet that isn't an option and it still says it's blocked. Can't use. Samsung S21

If you feel like you're being watched it is because you are. Trying to earn the green thumbs up in city traffic is nigh impossible. It is hard to overcome negative feedback from earlier trips - it's been months since I've had a yellow or red trip, but my risk remains high. I've been on the airplane a lot lately, so I let it record taxiing to and from the gate, just wondering when that will get figured out. I wonder if self-driving cars would fair any better. In areas with hills, there seems to be little accommodation for change in elevation going up or coming down. Notification.and.battery use annoying!

Update: with the latest update, I no longer have the ability to tell the app that I am not driving - even in the middle of a ride. Options are limited to: driving a work vehicle, inaccurate trip, and I just want to delete it. I have to start suspending the app every time I get in a car and am not driving. the app continues to lose drives. the calculation for risk has to be way off - nothing by great or excellent drives and I'm high risk and 0% discount. what a waste of space on my device.

Pretty accurate and no actual input after installation. There is suppose to be the ability to remove a trip if the reported trip was inaccurate. There isn't a particular answer in the dropdown that allows for that type of input. It is suggested to keep your phone from laying on the passenger seat, if the phone moves or falls off the seat the results of the ride may be inaccurate. Keep in pocket. A bit picky on hard breaks. mostly because of ignorant drivers who weave in and out of traffic.

Same as some others, it just doesn't work. I've checked the settings repeatedly everything is allowed, my phone is not in optimized status, there are absolutely no restrictions, the app says that everything is fine, and it still has not recorded trips for weeks unless I manually open the app... which is against the law in my state since you don't notice the app isn't running unless you're driving and MN has a hands free law. So in order to use the app I have to break the law... yeah that's great.

The app is not consistent with what it calls hard breaking. You can have two people in the same car, running the app. Sometimes, there will be a difference between the two. In addition, the app can lead to dangerous driving. Except when the app is glitching, my normal hard breaking s are at stop lights. Because of red light cameras, the tendacy is to stop. In order to not break so hard, the app would have you run red lights. So the choice is clear, get a hard breaking or run a red light.

The app doesn't follow standby directions at all. When I set it to certain times to be in standby, it's still taking record of the drive, even after I updated the app. This app also takes a minute to come up and sometimes I'll get an error message saying it's not responding. I feel like it should only record so many times in each month, not everyday. It has been annoying dealing with, so I'll take the hit versus working to save only 7% so far in the first 6 months of using it.

My only complaint about the app is the same one many people have. The risk "hard braking" decreases the rating on that particular drive. Realistically, there are going to be times when someone pulls out in front of you, or the light changes as you approach it doing 55 mph. Where the event occurred should be highlight on the map of that trip along with room for explanation. Obviously, if that risk event happens every trip or every other trip, the driver has the risky habit.

I've been trying to use this app for a few months, but it still rarely picks up my trips, maybe 25%. I have more luck with it detecting me sitting in a rocking chair than driving. Notifications: Every one I've gotten says, it's too busy on the road this time, take public transportation, hard to drive at night, etc. Odd for a car insurance company to discourage driving. Also, can't use power saving mode with app and can't click "start trip" when it doesn't auto detect. Just a very bad app.

This app is awful. It drains your battery fast. Standby is obsolete and regardless if it's set or not, it'll still run (driving your discount down in the process). If it's only you on the policy, don't expect the full discount (max discount upon renewal for only 1 driver on the policy is 10% or less). When you sign up, it's about a 20% discount. I dont speed, brake hard or drive during the "bad" times and it says I'm driving towards a 3% discount upon renewal, even though it says I'm doing great
