Awesome app, tells you if your device is at the level needed for HD/4K streaming etc incase you're ever experiencing any issues with playback of that on your devices. Though, even if your device meets the requirements the apps you're using might have stopped supporting it! Sneaky!
UPDATE: recent versions have fixed the problem. Thank you developer. OLD: Version 1.1.4.200517 (from the Nvidia Shield's limited Playstore) does NOT work with the Shield. App just crashes. Never opens, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. Why release if it doesn't work. Don't you test first? Otherwise, this app works fine on my pure Android LG Premier phone.
I believe this app is really good. Galaxy s7 edge has been black listed by a streaming service for a while and this integral in resisting political gaslighting in the streaming services industry. Thank you world's for helping provide peace of mind by verifying through empirical evidence through local telemetry that in fact at least some of the time privately owned and operated digital equipment are currently function without error, and withing design specifications; even when provider refused...
On the nvidia shield (2017) drminfo shows full widevine support. But apps that use it show widevine security key errors. (I had already assumed the keys got screwed up somehow). I spent to much time trying to fix the shield because drminfo showed it good though.. Just a heads up to the developer.
Can you add information for supporting Netflix,Amazon and other streaming services cause sometimes you mentioned it is L1 but in Amazon prime not supported
Well, last time, I said that it shows incorrect processor name and I got a reply saying that this app does not show anything related to processor, I upgraded to a Galaxy M31s and I can see that Brand - Samsung, Hardware - exynos9611, which is indeed the processor in my device. I initially rated it 1 star, but now I rate it 4 stars for providing correct information. But the last one star, that remains with me because of the reply which said that no processor info is displayed.
I downloaded this app because I couldn't stream my new Avengers: Endgame HDX purchase from Vudu. I read in several articles that it might be caused by my LG Stylo 4 not having the correct Google Widevine Security Level. This app was the first app recommended in my readings, so I downloaded it. The app told me exactly what i needed to know, so I uninstalled immediately. No need to keep something in my phone that has no other use for me, duh.
Great app. This is what I used to see my level on phones to play HD videos only if Level 1. If level 3 then no HD play back You will only see videos in 720 p and under
It works as intended. The problem lies on my phone's OS itself as Netflix is not opening up. Anyways, great job!
I tried this on an old Huawei P9, it says the unit has widevine L3 but I just downloaded Netflix and Amazon video direct from the Google playstore and can stream HD videos without problems.
I am doubtful about your one specification related to supported HDR types.Sometimes, those results were not right.Because most of the time device which support low HDR.Your app shows it has support of HDR10 and HLG. Realme X7 shows support of low HDR on other app and your app shows it's support of HDR10 and HLG.
It's great. Double check for actual HD and FHD using the video on Netflix entitled "test patterns".
Unable to install. Don't know why. Developer please help! UPDATE:- The problem is with this app only. Any other app can be downloaded easily.
It is bad for me seriously because everytimes i open app and it's said L1 sometimes L3 i don't how to check now seriously and when DRM info tell me that my phone is L1 netflix just appear L3 is all mess up. Plz fix it🙏🙏
Perfect, shows that I have Widevine L3 on my Redmi Note 5 pro which is yet another reason I should have bought a 2nd hand flagship S7 Edge as opposed to a brand new Xaomi Note 5 Pro as this is also missing Camera API 2 so I have limited camera controls :-(
Doesn't shows the actual status just showing the default values based on device fingerprint
i dont know what you are doing but application not showing correct result it shows wide wine l1 support but videos in netfix and amazon prime not playing hd content in realme 3 pro mobile
Is the tool capable of providing information about Microsoft PlayReady DRM client? In my phone, the DRM Info tool does not list PlayReady, does it mean that PlayReady client isn't supported by my phone? Thanks!
Perfect to find out whether your device supports Widevine L1 DRM which is needed by Netflix and Amazon Prime to work in HD.
Downloaded and it opened without fuss. Showed me my L #. Truly appreciate this app! OnePlus 7 pro.
For Android/ Google TV, please include overview of supported hardware accelerated decodig, like the apps shows for mobile.
Latest version works fine on Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (running a custom ROM though).
It should also show Microsoft and other certifications otherwise a good app.
Latest version (18 Sept 2018) crashes for me upon start of the app.
I don't know that how to check in my device has supportable for the digital rights management like L1 L2 L3 how I know because I cannot check it also I cannot find it by using this application please tell me how I use
I am not a developer but this is a great app for checking what hardware DRM levels your device supports
it doesnt open at all..showing white screen for a long time..
ROG PHONE 2 the new updates made the Wide Color Gamut NOT SUPPORTED... Kindly check. Thanks
What does the maximum session mean? I once had a redmi note 9s with widevine L1 and after a while it changed to L3.
It was a good app, definitely helpful to fix low reso videos downloaded.
