It helps stability overall, but I don't see face book in the limitation lists. Those are the only apps that make my phone lag for more than one minute all the time, so I'd like them curtailed. Since it's ashampoo, you know it's good. Sometimes, when my phone is being really slow, I try to use the wipe RAM function, but am told that a security policy is preventing the app from being closed.
Excellent app, although I don't understand each part. I like the way it interrogates the system an displays which program has access to parts of your device. Plus I'm able to adjust which programs closedown. I'm still trying to figure it out, but it appeared as programs were closed, an as I rebooted them, I was able to see if the program was problematic. It would probably be a more excellent program if it was straight forward & explained how to run each part. But I still highly recommend it !
I've been using this for a month or so, and it has done everything I had hoped. I was looking for a simple cleaner that wouldn't cause more problems by using graphics to animate what's happening (like certain other apps do) and would actually make a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my phone operation. Droid Optimizer fits the bill! It's easy to use, and it has one unique function unlike the other apps I had tried: auto clean. It's perfect!
This is by FAR the best optimizing and settings app that you can possibly come across. I have never seen anything that can compete with this app's simplicity and user friendly interface with the settings of everything right at your fingertips. I love the option that let's you set the timer of automatically performing a clean and that you can even choose files to delete that tend to embed themselves into your device. I would have paid $10 for this and it doesn't have advertising ads. Amazing !
Overall convenient and efficient, but it never shows my running system apps. It accurately detects (and closes) user apps, and it USED to show system apps, but never shows them anymore. Obviously there are system apps in use and they were accessible in the past, so it has to be a defect that's developed somehow. Still useful, but not like it once was.
Best of the best! Easy installation, quick setup, easy menu with usefull options. App doesn’t bother me at all (not intrusive at all!) and it’s more like a good companion. System now runs a bit faster. Absolutely does what it’s meant to do, clears everything that can be cleared, I’ve checked the results. All that is left for me to do is clear the system cashe.
I've had this app for quite a few months now and it seems to work in well in some important ways, and maybe not so well in others. There are 2 things it claims to do that are brilliant and I can't find in other cleaner apps... it stops selected apps from launching at startup and it has a whitelist to allow apps to not be stopped when you clean the phone with Optimizer. These are must-haves for me and the type of apps I have on my phone. The reason I only give the app 3 stars is that there are some things that seem iffy to me. For instance, when I do 1-Touch Speed Up and then do it again, then again, etc., it keeps showing more apps that haven't been stopped (and are NOT on my Whitelist). When I finally get to a "All clean. Well done!" message, I wait until I get three more of those in a row because sometimes even after it says "all clean" I still get more apps not stopped. The same holds true when I use the Clean Up button and then the "Stop background apps" button. The way I look at it, this means the app either isn't working very well OR it is working great. By that I mean that either it should be stopping those apps on the first go, OR it is simply showing that the true nature of my phone is that any cleaning app can't really get everything in a single pass and Droid Optimizer allows you to keep doing the process until the phone is actually clean. I don't know which is true but I do know that the term "1-Touch Speed Up" doesn't necessarily mean "1-Touch Fully Clean". Another thing I see is that if I run Droid Optimizer until it says "All cache cleaned", and then run my CCleaner app (which uses a different, slower and more visual way of cleaning app caches), CCleaner still finds and cleans a lot more caches all the while showing which apps have caches needing to be cleaned. This is makes it pretty clear that Droid Optimizer's cache cleaning protocol doesn't work very well, if at all. I'll need to run further tests to see. BTW, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra on the Verizon network.
Like some other reviews stated, I was using Clean Master and it got to the point to where you were just bombarded with ads with every thing you did...and after testing it out after an update, my device ran slower with it on my phone. I tried this app after reading many reviews of different apps, and I love this one. Once you get it setup correctly and the auto clean scheduled it works great!
Finally, a fast, efficient, effective cleaner app! I have Ashampoo's cleaner app for Windows and I love it, so I thought I would try this app for Android. I couldn't be happier. No popups, it has one-touch cleanup, easy and logical customization and it makes a noticeable difference when I run it. Highly recommended!
Well, it appears to do as it's supposed to. I do like the auto features and the reports displayed in my push notifications. No apparent drain on resources or invasion of privacy with unnecessary permissions, takes up little storage space on my already space-challenged smartphone... Nice appearance, layout, fairly easy controls & settings. Ranking feature's kinda cute, shows a sense of humor. Good app. 😎
Love this cleaner! I've been with Clean Master for years and was always satisfied with there service. It got to the point that the ads just bombard you. I understand you got to pay the bills but damn......... When you run off long time users. Anyway I tried many cleaner apps before I found this one. None really did what they said..... But yours is perfect. There's ads but that is to be expected. Simple and easy to use. Really works. Keep up the good work. Hope we have a long partnership.
Best cleaning app on Google play. Been using it for a few years now. No annoying ads. Updates frequently and developers respond rapidly to any issues you might have (which probably won't happen to you). Ashampoo is a great company. Used to use some of their cd/DVD programs on my PC back in the day if my memory serves my correctly. Thanks!
This app is a miracle worker-light on space, light on power, easy to use, effective and...NO ANNOYING ADS! I've tried 10+ memory/app cleaners-they were either huge, full of ads, or sucked battery life. This app is so easy-after a quick setup it takes no time/effort to use & kills tasks automatically & regularly. My phone is 5yrs old-I thought I needed a new one-Nope! Thankfully I found this before I spent $$$ on a new one! I only write reviews if the app makes my life easier/better-this one does!
Update - had to downgrade my rating as developer has added ads. Original - great to boost performance on older tablets and phones. tried multiple apps and this is the only one that worked seamlessly to prevent too many apps running all at once on my nook hd plus which, thanks to this app, is workimg great again. huge part of why it functions so well is this app is not constantly trying to phone home to download ads. trying it on my new phone also to boost battery life and it seems to help a lot.
Very pleased. I noticed in the last few months as I hit the 2 year mark with GS9+ that it started running really smooth. Sure there have been some Android updates but I attribute the improved performance to this app. I can't be for sure but it seems my phone runs so much better than it did after I first started with it 2 years ago. I've been using the Ashampoo PC app for many years and not sure why it took me so long to get their Android app but I'm quite pleased. CCleaner is good too.
This is the app that i've been searching for many years! Simple and intuitive interface, that works no matter of device orientation (portrait/landscape). It allows you you to create an white list, with apps who won't be closed by Droid Optimizer. Also you can create an schedule for maximum battery saving over night and a schedule for automatic optimize of device during daytime. Does not need sensitive permissions. Thank you AShampoo!
Absolutely excellent app, used this after ccleaner to return my phone back to how it used to run. Droid Optimizer is well thought out, works properly, has no annoying ads and other great features such as night mode (wifi off etc) and robust scheduling. Phone is cold when not being used where before it was constantly hot and slow/hanging Excellent!
I am a little disappointed in that when I check individual apps there is still many that have several MB Cache files. This is the 4th app that I have tried and have been disappointed in all of them. I was hopeful because of past reviews that this one would have been the one. But again I was disappointed. Last night after running a clean, I spent the half hour it takes to go through each of my 183 apps and do a manual clean where about a dozen of them had a 5 MB or larger cache file. Why can't someone develop an app that will clean all cache from all the apps?
Overall I am thoroughly pleased with this app's approach to the whole GUI and actual function disparity. This app actually does more than just set off a swirl and rapidly rising numbers to falsely indicate that processes are being stopped or started. If the app is not actually doing anything, and I have been duped, well then you still deserve all those stars. thanks
It's a great app that gets the job done! My only compliant is that when it's searching for junk files, it sometimes hangs for nearly a minute saying "almost done" - even if there are very few files on the device to be deleted. Update: Thank you for the quick response, it's much appreciated 😊
Update: I used to use this app all the time to clean up the memory and stop apps. But lately, it crashes a lot and it cannot free up used memory. After this update, I've decided to uninstall it. And I reduced my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. /end update Previous update 10/2018. It used to work really well. I could free up about 50% of the memory. But after this recent update, I couldn't even get the available memory above 16%. Time to look for a new app to clean up.
I thought the "clear cache" would apply to apps but it does not. After installing, finding it doesn't do what I want, and then finally reading the help I find that it "Empties the Android system cache." Otherwise it seems to work fine. I think it's misleading though to say "clear cache" and not specify that it doesn't work for general apps.
I like that it shows % data/RAM used, has dark mode, fast cleaning & optimizer, lightweight app size, and is ad-free. Some of the buttons weren't intuitive for me such as during stopping a specific app, there were two icons that both had an X, which I later learned was add stopping that app to home screen or just stopping the app.
It works in the background and is a click away when things seem to be running a bit slow. Great info on other apps and how they miht be effecting my phones preformance, usually with a solution provided by this app also a click away. Always one of first apps I install on not only my own devices, but Im quick to recommend it to othes as well.
Droid Optimizer is exactly what this utility provides. Its simple and straight forward settings allow for the immediate use, without learning all of the program to get results fast, by optimizing memory: its One-Touch feature will close unused or unnecessary programs. Additionally, privacy concerns may be chosen to enhance. I have found that as Droid Optimizer is used with increased frequency, more utility is found to optimize my device's resources and speed of use and optimal function occurs.
Nice app. Easy UI and does help some of what it says, BUT...For 1)The free space is only reading sd card but I'm low on internal not on sd? 2)Running apps shows 1 User and 3 System apps only, but RAM shows 80% used? For just 4 apps? No! OS settings says 37 apps using mem. 3)Set a lot of apps not to run at start up but they started anyway! & 4)Biggest prob, chrome was hijacked right after install, pop ups, rerouting pages and url keeps showing ip address. Don't waste your time.
Really nice intelligent app.If my phone slows, I have a place to go to speed things up. It just doesn't stop at junk. It cleans cache hoggers, background apps, junk and it also has a scheduled cleaner. So much better than other apps of the same genre hands down. Oh.... did I mention intuitive and easy to use?
Droid Optimizer. Finally I've found an app that Does what it says on the tin and it Does that job very well indeed. There are so many apps on here Pretending to be the best thing since sliced bread, BUT they do Nothing, don't clean a thing just looks like they do. Droid Optimizer on the other hand Does Work. So if you want an app that does what it says then This is the one to get and it is Add Free as well, a Win Win, Five Star Application *****
Droid Optimizer is an excellent one-stop cleaner for my Samsung Tab A. The dashboard is very easy to navigate. Click on the ? and the explanation is in non-tech jargon. So many great features. I also somehow trust this app more than others that perform the same functions. If you're on the fence whether to install Droid Optimizer, do it. If you don't like it (I think you WILL like it, though)you can always uninstall.
