For those who aren't familiar with Dark Tower, here is a description of Dark Tower from the Dark Tower manual:"The Challenge: to retrieve the Ancient Magic Scepter that has been stolen by a tyrant king. The Scepter is the Power Staff of the Empire, and a kingdom has been offered as reward for its return. The Scepter lies hidden in the Dark Tower, guarded by a fierce band of the tyrant's Brigands. Three magic keys will open the the tower to you. Find the keys in three foreign kingdoms, and you may lay siege to the Dark Tower.
In search of the key, leave the Citadel in your home kingdom with a handful of warriors. On your journey, you will fight battles, be attacked by dragons, lose warriors to plague and starvation and get hopelessly lost in uncharted territories.
But don't despair! Visit the Bazaars to buy warriors and other supplies. Stop at the Tombs and Ruins to discover treasures of gold, dragonswords, magic keys, helpful wizards and the flying horse, Pegasus. The Sanctuaries are open to you, too, ready to outfit you with warriors, gold and food.
Once you discover the three keys, begin your siege of the Dark Tower. Start out by solving the Ancient Riddle of the Keys, then fight the Brigands within!
If you have a stout heart, quick wits and undying courage, you will retrieve the Scepter, save the Empire and win a Kingdom. Dare to Lay Siege to the Dark Tower!"
The following Dark Tower features are not supported:1. The training mode (Level 4) in the original game.2. The use of the clear button to clear an illegal move. The clear button only works to exit the Bazaar without buying anything.

Excellent, great job my friend. Pay no attention to those who speak negatively about this app!! Hugh fan of the original board game & still have it, although my tower had stopped working. I put this so on a spare phone and tape it to the tower so I can play on the original board with the pieces. This is great and I play it all the time. I would like to see a networked multiplayer option that allows you play against other people & save progress but otherwise excellent work. You da man!!!!!!
Really close to perfect. Nostalgia feels Edit: Posts about the brigands being to hard?I like the way it is. In the original if you got behind 1 or 2 players, you could never catch up. Now, you can. But... YO DEVS! Include a new "difficulty setting" that toggles everything between easy, medium and hard. Maybe individual toggles to customize the game i.e. set the Wizard occurrence to the easy and he shows up for everybody, all the time and set Lost to high so a Scout is super valuable etc. Peace
Zero stars, if it were possible. I played the real DT and this isn't it. Logic is faulty. Dragon is everywhere. The app allows the scenario where I had 20 warriors, and a SINGLE brigand eliminated my entire force. I played this app 69 times, and I never once got past the second foreign land before complete defeat. The real game NEVER operated that way. Uninstalled. Very disappointed.
Outstanding! Brings me back to the days I used to play the Dark Tower Milton Bradley Electronic board game that I purchased back in the 1980s. Well done and I hope there is an update that adds even more value to this awesome game. Great gamer experience. Sound effects are spot-on and Graphics are solid. Well done!
This is pretty accurate to the original game, there are some differences like the tomb ruin is empty more often and way more often than the original 1 brigand will wreck you and the scoring at the end really seems to be very high even when you do bad. I like it I'll play it but hopefully it gets updated to be even more accurate, so people like me can enjoy it as it is on table.
Love the game. Wish I had found it sooner, but for some reason the makers don't list it as a board game!? I had given up on finding a good board game app, but then someone, through word of mouth, told me about this app because it never showed up in a board game search on app store. This needs to be corrected immediatly! As for the game, well done. Anyone who loves board games or playing as a group offline, get this app, its a wish fofilled for me.
Loved the game Dark Tower as a boy, now my son and I play this when we're waiting around for things like dinner or at appointments, and even on road trips. It's just like the board game and I wish we still had a box set at home, but this works just as good... now if only xbox would make a version.! Dreaming big on that one.
Absolutely perfect. Dark tower is one of my fondest childhood memories, replicated brilliantly. All original sounds and assets are used, it's 1:1. If you remember the original board game you owe it to yourself to download this. Thanks to the dev.
Excellent app! To new players, buy the "beast" immediately to carry your gold. Otherwise, you lose gold because warriors can only carry so much gold. Then, get healer and scout ASAP, then food. Don't waste money on warriors at first. Just hang around your home base or sanctuary to resupply warriors until you're ready to hit the road. Get the 3 keys, always sticking close to sanctuary in each zone, then complete the circle home, use x2 warrior buff at home base, then crush tower. 😆
Been looking for a blast from the past for a long time a little old school on the play too but makes it all the more enjoyable only had to play it once and hit a time machine of past games played with old friends.
This reminds me of the real thing. Sometimes it's vicious, sometimes it's yielding, but that's the nature of random outcome generation. Then again, so is life. Wonderful game. Thanks for creating this app for us. Take care!
Way too hard. I played the original numerous times and never had such a hard time with the brigands. They slice through your army like nothing. Plague comes up A LOT. Other than that it's perfect
Works well, but Gingerbread called and wants its interface back. I had to mod my copy to have it fit in with the Material Design aesthetic.
I thought this was buggy but it was my rotten nephew messing with the game! Going to use it to replace the broken tower on my original Dark Tower board game. Thanks!
Terrible rng, I own the real game and I've never been decimated as fast as this app. Starting from scratch, first step and 14 brigs against 10 warriors. They cut that to 7 brings who then kill 5 of mine 1 by 1 then I drop them to 3 and they literally kill me 1st turn, each restart is the same. Brigs always outnumbered me cut them in half then watched as all warriors died 1 by 1. This apps rng is god awful compared to the actual game.
Great alternative, I have a blast playing alone or with a friend. Brings back alot of fun memories.
Exactly as advertised. Brings back memories of one of the earliest electronic board games.
The app is not balanced compared to the original tower. The Brigand fights seems rather brutal.
Love it. Just like I remember as a kid. My daughter and I played for hours yesterday and she made me promise we could play again tonight. Great job!

Poor combat algorithm and many bugs. The combat is way too aggressive compared to the original game. Virtually every step you are attacked by superior numbers, hit with a plague, lost in the wilderness, or attacked by the dragon. Individual battles are lopsided in favor or the brigands almost every battle in terms of both numbers fought and their odds in battle. Too many times I have fought to the point of having a 2x advantage over the attackers and STILL lost the battle. Visually great.
