Loads of utility that I'm still exploring. Very robust with seemingly endless possibilities for an app that is suprisingly easy on memory. Could add phase for License customization and change disclosure to run pre-compile. It may be the SDK, or even an add on, but seems a little busy when expecting idle, still need verify with a closer look but something is a little leaky. Would it be possible to request the Source files/config?
Great App. Helpful and very useful who wants learn and coding in JS on Android. BUT this Premium Model of 3usd/month is for me a no go! One fix payment and to use it when and how long I want! Or forget it. Because I use it not daily! Because a lot time have different things to do then dev. Apps on a phone...!
Fantastic app! Easy to make your own app that does almost anything, and it's free. Only need to pay for very advanced features or if you want to put your app on playstore. Brilliant!
My experience with app is excellent. To all ur complainers it excells very well far better than Apps with no ads and with file manager complex . So this app got u on spending money to downloads files which is a catch and I'm a little sideways about to but so much more with application than other free file Java ide in my opinion far best I have encounter with this 50 $ dollar phone I am able to build app application and GAMES with unpaid help rubic. That this is amazing how andriod grows.
I'm very impressed with this. I've not done anything major yet but the speed compared to the very few others that offer actual app development rather then just web design is great. If you know a bit of coding, then you should be fine. I just looked at the demos and some on line searches for answers The IDE is good even on a phone, the navigation around is good and being able to very quickly check your code running and return is very good.
I love your app but it's buggy to the point it's almost not useable. also somehow my last post got deleted. so I'll go over the buggs I have found so far. first I lost all of one project then twice now I have lost a days worth of script. I was having problems with demos not working but that fixed it's self. I can no long change any text rather erasing or adding. once I close the app it's back to what I stared with. I have more then enough room.
this is a pretty good app, but I am disappointed that I can only edit one file at a time, and worst yet, I have to exit the app and reopen it in order to be able to edit a different file. In addition, I am not sure about others, but this makes me feel like you are intimidating me to purchasing a monthly subscription, and that's not a way for your customers to trust you. I think you to rethink this in a different way. For example, no ads premium plan, and multi-file editing a one time in-app fee.
I like I full like it's good for beginners like me and the examples are easy to understand for me witch usually they aren't and I think you can learn how to do stuff just by looking at other people's creations pretty much what I'm saying is that I would recommend this app I find it easy to use and I just like it.
There's a bug. You have to terminate the app completely to be able exist a file. The back button minimizes the whole app instead of taking you back to the main menu. This only happens if you switch to another app while a file is open. Will adjust rating when fixed.
Excited π, Excellent Amazing Shortest learning cycle I've ever had in my life learning anything new that's worth learning. Been battling for months with Android Studio, all I keep getting is download this or that additional item, setup this or that. Got fed up one day after seeing the volume data I'd invested in it, yet no progress. From the very 1st day I downloaded this App, I started coding few minutes after, started experimenting with various aspects. By 2nd day I had a useful program.
All of the documentation should be available for free with ads of course, and without ads if you subscribe. I can't afford a subscription just starting out, give us the ability to use documentation free! I would probably subscribe if I could make enough money off my apps to subscribe, but since I don't have documentation I can't.
Just found out about this app. installed and run the hello world. in hello world screen pressed back(gesture) i was gone back to launcher, instead of to DroidScript. It is supposed to be like that? i kinda irritating to launch DroidScript again and again after a preview(Testing some in examples). tried latest one from playstore and latest beta. same issue. I want to subscribe to premium btw bcz of it's awesomeness. Great app.
Tried to make an app after years of not using and I can't access any on my previously purchased plugins such as: APK Builder, UI Extras and MOGA plugin
No apk builder in plugins and editor is really bad. Back to acode editor and use react native to build apk instead.
Was working but now I can't find the folder that contains all of my saved SPK files. I also had every project I had erased all of the sudden. I made copies of them all on a separate flash drive but now I can't find the droidscript folder on my phone or SD card and I can't save any project or its SPK file. Is this because of the "scoped storage" rule that is new for android with the update and this app being in non compliance?
This is a great app for building quick apps to get things done quickly. It is very simple and user friendly. The subscription isn't much and offers easy access to a lot of other features. Even the free version is still worthwhile, especially if you are looking to build apps for personal or inhouse use only.
I tried again thinking maybe I'd been too harsh, but at this point I'm confident I wasn't harsh enough. Monthly fee, paid plugins, etc. You're just greedy, that's all there is to it. You made something interesting, but then decided to cut it up into chunks and sell each one separately at exorbitant prices. That's not "just trying to develop", that's "just being greedy".
Very good idea it works very well. It is easy to develop on your pc and the do a test run on your phone via wifi. I like the examples it shows what you can do with a lot of the controls. If you know javascript you can do so much more
I am a premium user. DroidScript does require a certain amount of technical knowledge in order to be useful. That knowledge can be freely obtained with with about forty hours of internet study. The IDE is clean and efficient. The demos cover everything important for quick familiarity. I can't afford a new computer. the one I have has windows 10 but it cannot run Android studio or Adobe phone gap. But it will connect to and run the droidscript IDE. I have used DS to publish a website and 2 apps.
I've been using this app for years: it's an easy to use IDE with documentation built-in and a large selection of example-apps. A great tool for learning javascript if you already have introductory C or Java experience, and a good starting point for learning syntax and terminology for beginners. The wifi IDE works well and should be utilized whenever possible.
This is really a good application, and the update made the app much more cleaner. I suggest that the next update should be about the text editor because right now it does not feel like a code editor (just an opinion) when you are using your phone to build an app. Either thus was a really good and promising app.
i do enjoy this app recommend to anyone however I'm premium yet sometimes ill get on and it'll tell me im not premium yet when i go to the premium it says im premium
I would rate 5-star if the apk builder actually has an existence on the plugins menu.
β β β β β β β Dear Downloader, please don't mind those who rated lower or criticized the app. This is the no. 1 offline app builder. Droidscript really is a worthy app, 7 Stars to you, great thanks to the developers. I love your app examples. However, I'll love that you create a more step-by-step and explanatory basics tutorial for beginners. Pleaseππ½ do this for us, thanks.
Excellent tool! but there is a bug : The "SMS Object" is not working for some reason. I hope you will look into the matter and rectify this bug.πππ»
I downloaded the app but it shown script error how can i fix this problem
Great app and what makes it even better is the fact you can use the app on the Chromebook. Making a Chromebook a little closer to being a good coding tool.
The docs button is out of the screen for me, I can only see it in landscape, or if I change the display size in the accessibility options in settings.
The ide itself is an easy 5 stars no question however my problem is yet another app using subscription based model. I want to be able to pay once even if it cost more. If a pay once is ever added I will for sure buy premium and increase my rating to 5 stars. I wouldn't even care if it was 15 to 20 dollars(or more) I just want to be able to pay once. Edit: they apparently have a lifetime plan by contacting them so that is nice. However I have came across acode which works for me but this is nice
