Drone Buddy - UAV Safe Wind, Weather, No Fly Zone

Brilliant... The wind strength feature is has a real benefit. I always use it before flying.

I couldn't get past the settings for the restricted flying map. It would not show the map.

Ad ridden app - worst I've seen. I can't say for sure if this app actually does anything constructive. An ad pops up every two taps on the screen (literally). Dev must be a greedy SOB. I'm not sure if there is an IAP to remove ads or paid ad-free version, but I won't bother looking as I'm uninstalling now. I'll try the FAA app instead as I'm sure it's more accurate anyway.

Unfortunately I paid for the upgrade and the only thing that happened was the add disappeared no extra details at all that I can see. On top of that there is a helicopter base restricting flight at my house but this app doesnt show it when I have a free app that does. Very disappointed and not worth it. If there was an option to get my money back I would definitely have taken it and then it would be a good review due to company policy of satisfaction.

Nice app for many things other than drones BUT I don't believe it's worth a yearly fee. Needs to be a one time purchase and for sure not $70.

I seem to have lost National Parks data in a Canada. This was the sole reason for using this app

Only limited experience but like that it brings several things together in one place. It has a sharp look but some features are an upgrade. The upgrade will probably become more valuable in the future. Right now I'm in the play stage with my drone. It is sure worth a look.

App is good. Communication with developer is non existant. I have the life time membership on my ios device but want to transfer it to my tripltek tablet. No response

I paid for the upgraded version and only difference was the ads disappeared. This app lacks customization options and there are way better apps out there for FREE. Don't waste your money. Use the free version of the app if you want to use it.

Just got this app and from the little bit I've looked at seems like it's going to be a very useful tool for flying drones especially on where not to fly your drone, which is the main deal I was looking for. Only 4 stars because I was a little confused about the coloring keys on the map with the Apple application but then I also have an Android tablet so I got the app for that and it kind of looks so I'm still a little fuzzy on where exactly I can fly without hassle.

Enjoying every bit of it. Am going to get the full year access plan. But the one issue I found is that the color code in the maps do not match code description blues should be orange. Plz fix or that could lead sum people in big trouble. Trying to post an example...

For what seems like a rudimentary app it is actually quite informative and one that I use a lot. It's an app that I would easily recommend👍😊 Since leaving the short review above the app has stopped working, it begins as though it's going to work but then stops loading and closes?

Good app ruined by the amount of advertisements. A full screen ad pops up nearly 5 times a minute while you're on the map, making the app impossible to use. Delete.

Very useful App , before I had it I had no clue the Hospital Heli-Port Airspace was so close that I was in violation if I cleared the trees above my appointment Stay Safe , Obey FAA Rules , Don't Invade Regulated Airspace , Real Lives are at stake , Remember Your Enjoyment should never endanger other's Lives P.S. I wish I didn't have to pay to have 'Wind Forcast' , that was the whole reason for my App search for my Drones/Planes

Pop up ads literally EVERY TIME you touch map. Not gonna pay you to annoy me. Cant even test app before deciding to purchase pro version because every time I touch it another ad pops up or plays. Wont destroy my sanity just to give it a shot.

Nice App. It has most everything one needs to ensure safe operation of a drone.

Honestly a great app to use when I'm flying my mavic or if im feeling brave and want to fly tello outdoors. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was because I wanted to support the dev but 5 bucks every month is a bit steep for an app that just pulls from a database.

I really like this app. It helps me to understand the wind and the Gust for the day so that I don't fly my drone and lose it in the air. Until I don't know much about when and Gust pardon me feels like the app should have more features to look at. For now it is a very simple app to use/view.

About 10 screen taps to try use the app and 2 adverts already. Useless. Also doesn't show flight zones once zoomed out beyond a level which is too close to look at surrounding area.

Provides great information for any pilot to take flight. Would like to see one software update that would make it perfect. That one improvement is an integration of fixed winged airplane like plane finder so we can proactivatively be aware of nearby and incoming air traffic

This app shows airports that haven't been active and haven't been in the FAA database for many years. Apparently the data in this app is very old. I emailed developer and received no response.

Just buggy. Map and restricted areas are not properly displayed in different zoom levels. Looks like any app using mapbox is buggy.

The map did not load any useful info about nofly zones. Also the ads are super disturbing, just popping on the full screen. Disappointing.

I am still looking for an app that provides accurate no fly zones. Living near a uk national park where military jets fly low this app also provides no warnings about this high risk area and you would presume you are safe to fly. It's a massive issue IMHO

As I traveled to Norway, the APP was worth gold, as far as rules and regulations for the exact place I was at, keeping me within the laws concerning that area! A Must Have App for people who fly Drones! Follow the laws, and fly safely with all of the laws at your fingertips!

Excellent, gives you a lot of information without turning on your drone, save you alot of time relizing your in a no fly zone. Just was in Kauai, Hawaii, found out a lot of places I could not fly, saved a ton of time.
