Drone Kill

Prototype of a quadrocopter game in third person, allowing near FPV flight with the ability to see what the plane is doing with added depth perception of using stereoscopic VR.
Note this is a very early demo of the system, there are no menus or configuration, it works on my Samsung Galaxy S4 with a Samsung game pad using a Google cardboard headset. The fairly low frame rate may cause motion sickness if you are not used to flying FPV style. If it doesn't crash you may need to force it to quit to get out of the game.

The controls are 'Mode 2' so Throttle and Yaw are on the left stick, Pitch and Roll are on the right. It is a proof of concept, so I have only written a basic approximation of the flight dynamics so it sets the rotation of the plane directly as if it were flying in Angle or Horizon mode if you are used to flying Naze32 based flight controllers.

Direct manipulation of the rotation is at odds with the game engines physics system, this means that if you impact the environment you will need to land to stop any uncontrollable rotation. I will write a proper flight controller and multi-rotor flight physics system soon.

My mobile game pad has a lot less resolution than the xbox one controller i use for development and is not as smooth, but it should be possible to fly. Just be sure to roll as well as yaw if you have any significant velocity. That seems fairly consistent with my micro and nano sized drones.

Enjoy! Feedback much appreciated!
