Drone Watcher APP
The DroneWatcher APP turns your smartphone or tablet device into a small UAV and drone finder that detects, alerts and records information on about 95% of consumer drones. The app detects most non-encrypted RF-controlled commercially-available drones. The app records data including the type and ID which can be used to document incursions and support apprehension and prosecution by local law enforcement. LIMITATIONS: DroneWatcher APP does not detect many small toy drones or any encrypted professional or military type drones.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: The DroneWatcher APP runs in the background and only provides alerts when a drone is detected within its monitoring range (usually ¼ to ½ miles depending on local area conditions). Features and options in this free version include user selectable alerts (visual and audible alerts with 6 sound options plus mute and vibrate alert options), ability to stop tracking specific drones and to reset the clear list. The DroneWatcher APP can also be installed and operate on non-cellular tablets as long as the device is connected to a local WiFi network. For best detection sensitivity and range of detection performance, when using the app inside a building place the device near an external window or wall. It is also recommended that a device using the app as a stationary sensor that you keep the device plugged into external power. The app detects most Wi-Fi controlled drones that are readily available through consumer outlets (e.g. DJI Phantom 2, 2 Vision, 2 Vision + and Phantom 3 Standard). It DOES NOT DETECT drones using encrypted data protocols such as Lightbridge; DeTect’s other technologies are needed to detect these. App detection range is also impacted by strength of the WiFi signal and site conditions. The app is available in English only version at this time and foreign language support may not be available.
In addition to use to protect your privacy at your home or small business, the soon-to-be-released Pro version of the app will provide direction finding and allow multiple devices using the DroneWatcher APP to be networked to provide wide area monitoring zones for security and privacy for public events (indoor and outdoor concerts, fairs, rallies, etc.), sporting events (car races, marathons, stadium sports, golf tournaments, tennis and other outdoor and indoor competitions), airports, hospitals, prisons, power plants, government facilities, industrial sites, and general law enforcement. Pro features will also provide expanded web services including a real-time, interactive web display of the covered area with color-coded monitoring zones, audible and visual monitor alerts, text message alerting, and downloadable data logs.

Haven't detected anything yet. Paid for the upgrade and it's nothing special, didn't realize YOU have to have Wi-Fi for it to work. Regular cell service won't work. Wish I could get a refund.
This app is a great idea and would be wonderful if it actually detected drones I see a drone right now right above me and nothing I saw two last night nothing and a few days ago saw another one coming over our house and detected nothing so I don't believe this app works and would not like an upgrade even though they keep sending me ads for an upgrade to an app that doesn't work show me something that works and I might want to upgrade
I don't see that it's doing anything to pinpoint the drones I feel my privacy is being invaded and so don't other people in the town we would like our privacy they're up there every night they move around to different positions and have quite a few lights on them especially when they're moving, I guess Cazenovia has no right to privacy
I have had 2 phones and they given me 2 different distances, the name of the drones are different, I've had drones detection over 1000 metres? I lost me detection for like 3 days and also I wasn't a member for 3 days and then I was again and also drone app keeps crashing some reason and it doesn't play in the back ground anymore as it keeps telling me I've stopped looking for drones. This is either drone apps fault or It could be the government. Huawei p20 and Samsung galaxy 9 plus
This has to be about the worst app I've ever downloaded on my phone I don't understand why it does not work do you got to pay for it if so they don't need to advertise it for free I understand some things you do got to pay for but this picks up nothing the only thing it picks up is my data
doesnt work. had 3 drones above my head that i could see and didnt detect anything after an hour. talked to the guys using them and asked how they were flying them. They were using wifi. Even tried them out. Didnt detect as i was flying them. Can see why this is rated poorly...
This app doesnt work. I even upgraded to the paid service Still dont work. Seen plenty of drones within a 100 foot range and still didnt detect them.. The app is a scam.
App isn't all that great. I even bought the "Pro" upgrade. First it would never show any drones on my map but I would see them. Now my m a p won't even load and my phone and the app are up to date . If u buy it the app hopefully u have better luck then I did.
App doesn't work. I visually see drones almost everynight and this app hasn't detected one yet. I keep reporting visual drones and it won't give me any information. So sick of drone harassment. Thanks for nothing Drone Watcher.
User interface is easy to use. Will update further once I find a drone using a WiFi signal to see if I get alert.
Unreliable.... The map says im in the usa and i live in Canada... My history shows a bunch of nonsense when ive never gotten an alert. Tried contacting dev weeks ago and no reply
Doesn't spot drones. Even flew my enterprise and matrice multiple time's and nothing came up, close app try again and let them hover, nothing. Don't download the app, wait for dji's to come out this year.
Doesn't even work, turned my mp2 on and it didn't even pick it up and I was right next to thr drone. Uninstalled the rubbish. Not worth any stars at all..
Great if you want information 24hrs after drone coming over. No alarm goes off. Now it won't ever work.
Everytime i stip the app ..It will turn itself back on sometimes so its running in the background...Rubbish!!
This app won't allow you to get past allowing permissions. It freezes. I give it a huge thumbs down
I downloaded the app paid for pro version and it's doing nothing. Just keeps saying scanning for drones. I'm not happy at all and now mad that I waisted my cash.
I've had this drone program on my phone for about 2 years at first it would make a honking noise when a drone was so many feet above me and then the honking noise stopped I thought the Drone watch stop working so I just left it on the phone for about a year-and-a-half not knowing that rather it was doing anything well one day I was going to delete it and I went to drone history and there it was the dates how many drones was found all the way back for two years you have to go to date and history
I haven't really received any updates for this app since I downloaded it. And I've actually seen drones in the very back part of my yard hovering while I had app running and the app dud not pick up on the drone activity. Although I did notice a small black box on the drone. So it's possible it had a way to block the app from detecting it's signal.
