Dronecast - Weather Forecast & Flying Conditions

Not accurate. Conflicting info, eg good flying conditions are WORSE than poor conditions quite often. Wind strengt/direction seems to be the only info worth looking at.

I find this app most useful as a weather supplement to other apps that I use prior to flying. So much so that I paid for the Pro version.

I'm liking it,seems accurate and I like the fly zones and who's in charge info,quite helpful being in London there are loads of no fly areas

Its always POOR FLYING CONDITIONS, I've been checking every single day for 3 weeks and every day it says poor flying conditions, even days sunny with not 1 cloud in sky with no wind at all. I don't get it. If this review let u post pics I would show rightnow how nice it is outside and it still says the same thing.

Decided it's about time I rated this app and give it a full 5 stars. I've been using it in the north of england for the past 9 months and can't fault it for accuracy even through the winter it's allowed me to plan the day ahead so I can drive out for a quick flight when there's a break in the almost endless rain and snow. Never let me down yet!👍

A good app to install and use. This app does what it says, gives an accurate and easily understood / clear display of the days expected weather conditions. Easy to view on my phone. 👍 You can tailor the settings so the display can clearly indicate if the wind is too high or just right for your drone and flying abilities. I personally find it ideal for my light weight foam r/c aircraft as it quickly enables me to see the hourly wind conditions expected and so plan my flights.

Generally good but would prefer the option of buying a lifetime subscription rather than the monthly/annual options with auto-renew.

This app is indispensable for me. Having just gotten a drone I need accurate help with weather conditions. Keeps me and my drone safe when I'm not sure about the conditions to fly

Just downloaded this app and so far I really like it the only thing I don't like is I wish there was a little tutorial that explained everything. Or at least a little exclamation tab telling you why the flying conditions are bad. Like for example flying conditions poor because of high winds and it might be difficult to control your drone. Flying conditions poor because of high temperature outside and might make your drone overheat.

New to the drone world but seems to be a good app telling you where there is no fly zones handy for me being near Luton airport

Amazing near real time full spectrum weather forecast.. I would recommend this app to any novice or professional drone pilot.

Great app which I'd happily pay for, but as a one off, not as an ongoing subscription. I hate that business model and all the gouging software companies seem to be turning to it. Sorry you look like Adobe and I just will not support it.

Very nice. Not sure is hyperlocal, but it has that feel. I use UAV Forecast for flying, but this Drone Cast fits my needs better and looks graphically better. Trends on UAV Forecast are easier, table form, but other than that looks like I may be moving over to Dronecast. Dark Sky (spits on ground) style widgets would be nice. UPDATE: Bumped it up to 5 stars. Its casrs have been far more accurate than UAV. I also have gotten used to is GUI and don't need a table!

All good. Love this app. The map seems not updated when I compared with the 'Drone Safty' DT map.

Great free app. Accurate so far in showing the flying conditions. I like the way it shows what the issue is in red shading so that I can make the final decision on whether to fly or not. I would be interested in a paid version with more features.

Awesome app! I'd change this to 5 stars if it allowed for a home screen widget. I live in a very windy place si I'm very frequently checking in to see if I can go fly! Also, since there are loads of settings as-is, it would be nice to choose between 24h or 12h times

App seem to be very accurate and helps determine if you can fly but it's not perfect still need to use your own judgment. Having said that would recommend to new and advanced flyers alike.

Excellent little app with enough adjustments to make it useful for planning ahead.

I am just a newbie pilot, but have found this app to be useful for fight preflight checks.

Since starting to use this app I'm finding it more accurate than the app I used previously. Result, more flights. What it shows closely aligns with Hyperlocal Weather which is powered by Dark Sky. Highly recommend!
