DroneDeploy DJI Inspire/P3/P4

Generally speaking this is excellent... However the Android version is DRASTICALLY inferior to the iPhone version... Dangerously so. Support for the latest drones is not up to par with Apple devices, the settings menu cannot be closed during a flight (rendering the telemetry useless) and tbh I'm pretty disappointed with the app... Project processing remains useful and thus three stars... Without I would not pay the circa £100 / month fee and go elsewhere...

Poor support for android. Had blurry map produced from my Mavic 2Pro & was told by support that this was due to a rolling shutter issue that's been fixed for IOS but the fix for Android has no timeline. UPDATE V 4.8 Rolling shutter problem is not as pronounced as in v4.7.5 but still evident when compared with a map where camera settings were set manually in DJI app. App is easy to use and controls drone well.

I love the app it's definitely the best for me for flying projects for work to get measurements and such. But it seems like about November ever year they have some problem with DJI that makes the app completely unusable on Android phones and it is that way for months. With Android 10 it was several weeks and now with Android 12 we're 2 almost 3 months now it hasn't worked. I'll update rating when it works again.

I'm new at learning drone mapping but I was able to use this app easier than any other. I have had trouble making good map results but it's probably just my inexperience.

It flies perfectly, with no issues at all. I've been using a P4 PRO V 2.O along with a Samsung Note 9. Actually I use the app since 2015. It's improved a lot ever since.

Customer support is non-existent. Very poor and unhelpful business model for customer support.

Very good app, could be perfect if we can perform photo report with the basic version

App does not understand how Australian airspace regulation works so prevents flying over thousands of acres it's entirely legal to fly over. This makes the app entirely useless.

Poor user experience on Android devices. Drone mavic air 2 not supported in Android version

Not ready for market. Often does not show you where the aircraft is. Does not show you how many satellites are connected. Does not show you your signal strength to the remote control. Still does not support Pano's. This is not anything new from the previous app version that was over a year old. Still does not create a flight log if the flight has not been completed. One difference that I noticed is now you cannot add flights to your queue so you're only able to fly one plan at a time. Terrible!

Keeps crashing out on Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Tab S4. Unable to complete drone jobs because of it. Sometimes resumes mission, othertimes wants to reset it. Not sure if it still captures images when the drone keeps flying while the app is crashed. UPDATE 11/28/2019: Although I had issues with the app. Tech support and customer service have been great to work with. Resolved my issues, responded in a timely manner, and really stepped up to help out. Thank you

I have had the privilege of flying just two missions with DroneDeploy. It has been fun. One of the features I'm enjoying is the re-flights. When I re-fly a site, I can see from one date to another at any zoom level very easy. The only difficulties I've had is forgetting to load the mission locally as I didn't have a network available in the field. We found a work-around by turning my phone's hotspot on and accessing the internet that way. I am still trying to learn how to better representation of the sides of buildings so the 3d viewing can be more accurate.

Controls the drone well, flight planning is easy, but I don't think the terrain following works. I can turn it on on the computer, but when flying the drone, the RC shows it always flying away the same height above launch, and the option to turn it on or off on my phone is not there. This is a BIG problem when the land surface height varies by more than the flight height AGL!

Do not do business with this company. This app is a complete ripoff. Nowhere did it say I was starting a trial version, nor did it say how long the trial would last for. Not only that, it doesn't work properly. Half the buttons on the app don't function at all including the one that connects to the drone. So basically they sign you up for a trial period without telling you, their UI doesn't function, and they have a bug that makes the entire app pointless.

this last update added more bugs than it fixed. now my progress plans are completely non-functional. I can create them on the desktop, but my device now freezes. didnt do that before the update. Edit. I did contact support and they offered alot of really help things like uninstall/reinstall and turning my phone off and on again. they said it wasnt anything to do with the app. but it miraculously started working again. dont know how/why. when its functional I really like the app.

$10k annually for this and I can't use it on my Pixel 4XL because apparently it's been broken on Android 10 for a while now. Edit: thanks to the dev team. I'm now able to fly missions again. Still I have issues with my Mavic pro. Be aware there are still many issues that plague this software and the company behind it relys on the fact that no one else is really competiting with them. I've consistently had problems for almost a year now and it seems agnostic to whatever hardware you use.

It works for me all the time and while working with the app all the functions work flawlessly. Keep in mind you can also plan ahead with in the dashboard, but you also are able to do ti on the fly! which is great! Also there are some good tutorials out there to follow! Connection to the drone is going a bit better, still fails sometimes but for the most part working fine. New problem is the exposure setting for the pictures. It overexposes every time. Manually fixing with dji go app is labourious and still fails often. Also the exposure levels for one flight to the next after swapping bateries for the same map are not constant, which means you have to start all over again adjusting the exposure everytime you swap bateries. A pain.

The worst I've ever used. If you live in an area where fair weather is uncommon, and you need everything to go right, stay away. Turned a 40min, 140 acre survey into a 3 hour nightmare.Horrible android integration, doesn't resume missions from where you left off after battery swap, goes through pre-flight checks ok but returns home after 3 pictures because "camera calibration failed". Expensive to boot.

This used to be a great app, however since having to update to Android 10 this app no longer works. It was originally said there would be an update by the end of October to fix this, here we are over halfway through November and still nothing. Getting a bit frustrating. App just closed imediately upon trying to open it. Used to think highly about this app but the lack of help has become an issue.(updated). The issues have since been resolved. App is working great once again.

Been using this app for years and it's been amazing but totally dysfunctional in this most recent update. Time would fail me to tell of 7+ changes that have totally messed up this app. Please fix it as soon as possible. Issues include; app disconnecting from drone in flight, maximum speed slowed from 27 to 22 miles an hour, kml upload not working on most of my accounts, overlap and flight altitude slider not showing current altitude or overlap in the main display screen as you raise or lower....

Requires business email address. Even though I entered my business email on my owned domain they rejected it. I guess they only want domains owned by fortune 500 companies not lowly $300k companies.

Pretty poor app overall. It's very limited and serves as a simple way point placer for the drone while the real work is done in the cloud at significant cost ($1000+ a year). You also have minimal control of the drone and app once launched and it makes for a terrifying experience - for instance, the app remains in portrait even when connected to the controller and you cannot expand the FPV - it stays as a tiny window in the corner. Also photo processing takes HOURS. Not worth the time or money.

App crashes on startup. Tried uninstall and reinstall, but still crashes. Web app works though.

great app... when it actually works - which is about 30% of the time. I've flown 50+ flights with this app, less than half of them were done without major issues. Avoid this app at all costs, UNLESS you're using one of Drone Deploys officially supported mobile devices (there are like... 3 of them). Otherwise you'll waste tons of time trying to fight this app and it's countless, unexplainable, untroubleshootable, unsupportable bugs. Every app update adds a new, critical bug it seems like

Too many bugs to be worth the money right now. Hours of work often disappear with nothing more than "something went wrong, please restart a new map". Uploads may corrupt and cannot be resumed easily since the check if you are uploading more than the limit amount of photos is carried out before the check for duplicates is. But it does not tell you which photos have already been uploaded. Have fun uploading 1000 photos one by one...

Untrustworthy. I made the flight plan in my computer for 60m height. Uploaded, passed all checkings, and took off. Started picking up height until the app showed 370 meters then stalled. Waited for a minute and pushed return home. It returned until 80m height and refused to keep going down. Had to take manual control in sport mode several times because if I went back to P mode the dron would pick up height again. So after several times I left it on S Mode and had to go down manually. Even so, the down stick in the controller didn't work if I didn't push the direction stick also, which made the descent even more complicated. I'm still trembling and uninstalled this inmediately. Tested on Pixel XL.

Is a super nice app but during flight the app crashes often. I have note 10+ I understand that is a new phone but for the price I pay a month it needs to be flawless. When changing battery also did not completely continued the flight plan. So I keep to having to do 3 runs for one good map. Would be best if still finish flight plan as before changing batt.
