Hi! This new feature that shows how many correct words and phrases you have in a row is extremely annoying. If anything, I've begun to make mistakes and turned off the sound effects, because this feature is way too distracting. Where can I turn it off? I don't need anything to distract me every few seconds, that's not cheering on somebody's progress. Imagine cheerleading on the gamefield right in the middle of the game. Please let a user choose whether they want this feature on or off.

This app is an effective system for learning vocabulary. The spaced repetition is good, as is the difficulty and pronunciation. As with kahoot, the tech works smoothly. The main problem is the content. Vocabulary is organised by topic but there are major omissions. For example there's a section on exotic fruits but no section on basic adjectives or common verbs. If developers took more time to consider what learners need to know first, this could be a fantastic app.

First, you're limited to 5 min/day, or you've got to pay. Secondly, the "exercise type" changes too often during one session for just five new words. I'm more disturbed by these constant changes than learning the new vocabulary. Thirdly, this app seems to only teach you vocabulary and no grammar whatsoever. Finally, you need an account which means they collect your data. Seems like they put all their budget on animation and illustration rather than research for effective learning.

I used to love this app and at one point even paid premium for one year. I finally went back to it, thinking I could at least enjoy the free 5 minutes per day, but the time is over after 3 minutes max! I checked with a stopwatch and it is definitely counting down faster than it should. Edit: I reached out to the support service, which told me my issue would be fixed soon. I actually didn't wait for the fix and went back to the premium version.

It was so fun when I was working on other languages last year. It seems incredibly slow and buggy now that I started working on Italian. I've been waiting for 5+minutes for the images of the modules to load so I can start another one that isn't directly in line after the last one. With half the time taken up with "encouraging messages" and another portion taken up with laggy animations, this app is quickly falling out of the fun category. Please fix whatever you screwed up in the updates.

The app is fantastic. Although, I have several suggestions/questions: 1) Is it possible to use words only from selected topic and not from the whole list of learnt terms? 2) It would be great if you could standardize icons for words in a same group so they could be in the same style. For instance, animals or seasons. 3) Parts of the day topic is really confusing. For instance, it's pretty hard to differ morning/evening, sunrise/sunset and icons do not show the full meaning of the phrases.

I pay for the premium version and it's worth it - it's a relaxing, effective way to learn vocabulary and the word selections are mostly good. However, as others have said the app is so slow it's virtually unusable at the moment. I'd also prefer for exercises to go up to a slightly higher difficulty level, for example eventually having to type in the answer with no hints, as it's often easy to guess answers even if you can't remember the word. Would have given 3.5 stars if it was an option.

The app has a great set words, the learning process works great with nouns and verbs, but not that good with adjectives. For example, it's really hard to understand the emotion from the picture, but I'm not sure that it can be improved. The biggest problem for me is - getting premium subscription. I paid it using Google play, but the app keeps showing me "Error 1". After that I tried to find if there any support - there's none. The webpage for those who have problems don't have any instructions

The new version of the App is not so nice! The former version was better. Now there are weird sounds which do not fit in with the others. Sometimes the audio of two different words overlap. In addition now there are messages like "5 in a row" or something between the words which just cost you time and there is not always the repition of the word anymore. In general it seems that there is not a consistant pattern anymore, because the sound for "success" seem to ne random. Etc.

It's overall a very useful app for beginners. I've been trying to learn Korean off and on for years now but because of a mix of much I've not really learned much. Drops has been useful for me to familiarize myself with the alphabet especially and start to learn some words vuagly. That being said, nuance in definitions is very much lost in this format. Plus, it doesn't supplumrnt learning how to write the words. Also, the five minute sessions are longer than five minutes... Which is misleading

I do like this app, and there's def good science behind learning a little each day and reinforcing the vocabulary. However it's gotten increasingly slow and a 5 min practice actually is nearly 15 mins (I like to do different subject areas but have to wait for them to load...). Annoying pop up messages and having to click through screens at the end that aren't helpful. Constant upgrade suggestions. A quicker more efficient product would be a better upgrade advert than constantly suggesting it.

Vin. L. May 7, 2022

Was great, now totally overloaded with messages saying "5 in a row" or "keep going!" About eight of these every time you answer a question and you have to tap multiple times to get rid of them. At least if it were advertising I'd see the point of it. I paid for a lifetime subscription, would be very happy just to get back the version of the app I had before.

In general I like the app, but here are the exceptions that I find incredibly annoying: 1. they ask you to sync the account, but when you do try to sync with google it breaks the app. Tired of the app freezing and most of the modules stop displaying. 2. I do not like the increased amount of freezing while playing (vs earlier version)! I have fiber with throughput for heavy muliplayer gaming (NO problems with anything else) so it isn't connection issues!

It's a great app but it's far to expensive. I can not justify $100 a year for this when there are other apps charging $6-$15 one off payment for their premium version of the app, doing the same thing. Drop the price massively and this would get 5 stars. Heck for $60 I can buy an entire voice recognition game/learning program on PC, not a subscription service either.

This app is absolutely lovely, in theory There are some things that don't translate well via flashcards images I'm afraid. Per example, Adios/Hola have a man waving in both images. Just one seems to be more tilted to the side. Now, if I had never EVER heard Spanish before that would be a bit confusing (and the images do get a smidge confusing after seeing enough of the man waving) I wish there was more space to write but I would still recommend the app (a free version would be A+)

I dont like the change of sounds. There should be option to change to the old one. There is new bug that ask you if you want join 10 days in a row challange but when you select Yes you are not added. Also another one which freeze app for few seconds at the end of every session, very annoying. Rest of the app is still nice and outstanding above others. I will nit bother to do for you tests and send reports to your support. Hire a software testers.

Audio quality is good - all vocab seems to be spoken by humans rather than generated. Unfortunately, the images they use, central to the app's design, sometimes do a poor job of conveying the meanings clearly. For example, I shouldn't have to use the height of the sun on the horizon to judge whether it's a sunrise or sunset, when a simple arrow could mark the direction.

On one hand a pretty good vocabulary trainer. Three things I regret though: 1st I wish there was a trainer to learn how to write the alphabet for Cantonese. I think that would actually elevate the learning curve a lot and help with remembering the different words and vocab. 2nd you should really introduce a way to use the vocab in different example sentences. I think each word should at least have 2-3 examples on how to use the word in a sentence. 3rd there's often mistakes in the audio files.

I want to give it 5 stars for its well-crafted system, but it has too many moments of dysfunctionality. Sometimes the timer will stay still, which makes the app think that you missed a day by not reaching the end, and often during the parts where you have to connect a word to one of 4 images, it will count your answer as wrong no matter what you choose, making it difficult to stay on streak and earn the achievements for 100% accuracy. If those bugs can be fixed, it would easily be 5 stars.

Only reason it's not a 5 is due to how limited your access is without the paid version. I think they do this because it definitely has less ads than Duolingo which has much more free access, but I can't afford 10 language subscriptions sadly. I really enjoy the learning method this app uses and have never experienced this style before. I find myself picking up vocabulary really quickly with this message and hope I can experience the full version some day!

I'd recomend it. Unless your really dedicated or need to learn fast, the free is good and I love the no adds. I got the premium when it was on sale, so I could practice more if I felt like it, or just play around with different topics, and review and practice words. You can do this on the free, I just like to do it right after my session. I think it is well worth the money.

100× better than Duolingo! No discouraging "hearts" system or leaderboard, & challenges are optional to join. Only complaint is how with the new update, Drops "freezes" the time to show the correct/incorrect symbol and pep-talk screens- which means a 5-minute session can drawl out to a 10-minute one easily. *EDIT: Lowered to 3☆ and uninstalled because of reviews saying there was woke content

Currently on a 344 day streak with this app, and until update it was worthy of 5*... while the pictogram upgrades are nice, the user interface is now . . . s-o . . . s-l-o-w . . . that the seconds it used to take to navigate between topics have literally turned to minutes. Hopefully this is just a short term fixable glitch, which is spoiling an otherwise great app.

So far pretty darn awesome. I wish I could afford a premium but I just can't right now. Still, I'm grateful for the 5 minutes a day. Drops is a lot of fun, in my opinion. I really love the language learning format. Excellent alongside other learning programs, too. I use Duolingo but find Drops more enjoyable. Now I use them in conjunction. Duolingo allows for a longer learning time but Drops is more fun to use.

Thank you for this app. I am learning Igbo which is difficult to find on other language apps. Those who's mother tongue is Igbo, are impressed of learning. Keep up the good work. I would give it 5 stars, if one wasn't tricked(I day tricked because it's difficult to see the X in the upper left corner of the screen on computer) into purchasing the Premium. The screens that pop up before you can get to your first lesson, makes you think you won't be able to utilize the app until you pay.

This is the best flashcard app on the market in my opinion. Many options of learning for free. And the price of the premium subscription is not over priced. It is actually a great deal. There is honestly only 1 thing that could make this app better. I would love to see colors in the flashcard pictures. I feel that this would greatly improve the effectiveness of the app. Because the photos are difficult to distinguish sometimes. When color is added this app will be a 5/5 every time.

It's purely wonderful! I learned quite a handful of words per day. Really great app for learning and reviewing vocabs. I found out that there's a setting button to turn off the romanized script assistance which is awesome! Knocking off the training wheels, I was able to familiarized my brains to the characters and learn faster. 5/5 stars for me!

I really like the idea of this app, the vocab groups, the pictures, the interface. But some of the vocab I already know and it's frustrating to have to"learn" over again. There is an option to hide words, but what I want is an option to set the word as Known so that I still see it as review. Also, I wish some of the animations between exercises were slightly faster or fewer. I often tap the screen impatiently for the next one
