Hello, Drops Team! Could you please fix the issue with the app being stuck at the last second of every session? It is really annoying to have to wait for 20 secons every time to come back to learning. Also, I would like to have an option to switch off the "5-in-a-row", because it is distracting. All the rest is awesome! Thank you for your hard work.
Enjoy the app for learning. 2 things I'd love to see improved one day though. Review session of everything learned so far, or at least for all foundation learned so far. And for the notifications to not make noise when I have my phone on silent mode. Every other app is silent as should be, but drops always does a notification sound no matter what I do.
I'm having a really beautiful time with this app The learning is fun and presented very nicely and in good sized chunks Update: please may we have a sound slider menu? I do enjoy the sound effects but it feels like they're much louder than the voice
I was enjoying a lot untill the latest update. The new sounds are brash and annoying and put me off wanting to continue using the app. The previous sounds were very nice and soothing.
The pop-up advertisements for premium are really obnoxious, and waiting 10 hours just to go over ใใคใบ seems a bit unnecessary. I'd recommend just watching Japanese YouTube videos ...although after coming back to it, it is actually good for studying. The free version is just hell.
I really like this app. It hasn't given me any problems so far and the words are easy to remember with the pictures they provide. They also split the different categories so if you want to learn a specific one, you can! I would definitely recommend this.
I bought 3 months premium and after 2 days it forced me to wait between sessions as if I didn't have premium. When I go to check premium it brings me to the purchasing options. Closing this window brings up a different purchase window and its an infinite loop of the same 2 purchase windows from just hitting X. Only other option is to buy premium... which I already bought.
Good app, the style is very neat, and it has a good purpose, but... 5 minutes per day just sounds not just too little for one to learn the words, but to pay attention about what they are doing, you are desperately looking for the word that represents the image, being more concerned about the time that you spend, that about if you understood what that word really meant, and what does the hiragana or katakana in that word stand by.
This is an amazing app for language learning. I've practiced for over 3 years almost every day. I love that they have added the ability to keep your streak if you accidentally miss one day! If you're looking for grammar it might not be the best but if you need a way to practice and learn new words, this app is addicting and fantastic. Highly recommend.
The Chinese first radicals lesson has 5 pronunciation mistakes. The voice doesn't match the pinyin. And yes, it's weird that you have an app for each language even though you can learn all the languages on the Japanese one.
Have no CLUE what just happened but I opened the app today and over 50% of ALL OF MY PROGRESS HAS BEEN LOST!! Topics I learned MONTHS AGO are showing up as locked or incomplete, my 568 day streak has been knocked back to zero and my last record of 287, and now it's telling me that my account hasn't been backed up in over a year! Seriously thinking of removing the app....
Downloaded this app just to comment on your advertised pictures. You listed ใ (pronounced "a") as being pronounced "ha". Please, PLEASE fix this and update your page. If this is present in the app, it NEEDS correcting. You're gonna screw over new learners.
It's like duolingo...useless. it doesnt start off with how to say Hello..The first thing it teaches is "pan", please when I am ever going to use "pan" in a daily japanese conversation? Not helpful to learning Japanese and makes you memorize useless words.. don't waste your time on apps like this
I love this app it helps me learn Japanese in just a few minutes it don't have any additional and it's really enjoyable and this is coming for a person who is lazy
I am new to Japanese language. Interested in learning at least key words. Busy, not much time to study. This App will introduce me to the language in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
So far so good, its a bit sad that there are a lot of words that have been taken from english and are said with a japanese accent, but I guess lots of languages do the same. Thank you this app is great!
Great app to learn new words, and some basic kanji, though its not a big help to construct sentences, it gets ideas through. BUT MY ONLY PROBLEM IS once I accidentally logged out, I try to log back in again only to have my progress lost, I try to log back in the same email to regain my progress but it says duplicateuseremail. So is there a way to have my progress back?
Drops is definitely the least important of the Jap learning apps I use. Pros: Lots of words/vocab/topics Cons: Annoying, unnecessary effects with the interface. Instead of a normal word bank, Drops uses a few different ways of giving you the pieces of a word/sentence. This is slow and a certain one is just laggy. I could often type the answer out myself, but I stead im forced to their quirky โword/letter banks" Just suffer through unlocking the vocab you want to learn, then make anki cards.
I bought the lifetime premium, I was very happy until 2 days ago, when the app suddenly stopped working, updates etc. did not help, support is not responding either... Hope I haven't fallen for a scam, I really need to continue my studies. I'd be more than happy to give more than 1 star once this issue is resolved. But until then I cannot recommend this app.
Excellent app to boarden vocabularies. Some people complained about the animation of motivational messages taking up the time limit, but they probably didn't realize that the timer stops when those animations show up. In the Japanese version there's an option for romaji (alphabet) spelling if you can't read hiragana/katakana, there's also the option to include kanji. Just click the pause button on the left top to find all those setting options.

Its a nice experience cause it makes learning fun wich is really needed nowadays in schools, i had a lot of fun learning on this app!

WHY JUST 5 MINUTES!!? Couldn't it be at least 10. I can't even finish a lesson like this. This app is amazing but I won't raise my raiting if you don't do something about it. Please reconsider increasing the amount of time given just a bit more. I think everyone would really appreciate. Even an ad or two wouldn't bother us anymore.
I like this app a lot. It's great for vocab, and has a fun way of teaching it. It also utilises a variety of methods to alleviate the repetition and boredom. My biggest complaint is the notifications. I've literally just used the app, and halfway through my lesson a notification came up on my phone to use the app. It's more than a little needy!
I'd like a setting to turn off just the sound effects (But keep the voices on so I can still practice listening) the dinging sounds are really irritating after using the apps for afew months.
Only did one lesson, but it's super fun, easy and fast. I hope there's a review when I do it again
Great app. One of the best design I've tried so far. The design system and learning process is great, but is unfortunately only applied to single vocabulary words. When learning a new language, one needs sentences to be able to remember the words and re-use them in real life situarions. So why not adding grammar words and sentence exemples? Keep up the good work ๐๐ผ
