App is great. Lots of fun and easy. Unfortunately from today there are like mini achievements (5 in a row) which totally disturb the flow and experience. If you could put them out (or at least have them optional in settings ) would be great. Still a really well done app. Good job πŸ‘ Ps: If you were to add a grammatic section I would consider to get the premium πŸ˜‰

Update - 3/14/22 -Drops my favorite Castilian Spanish app. At 1st 5 minutes a day doesn't seem like enough time but as I grow into it, perfect. I find myself learning quickly, retaining words. GET IT! Great app for Castilian Spanish. I have 5 different apps including Drops, I have been using the 1st 4 nearly 3 years, while I still considered myself a beginner. After 5 months with Drop daily, I am learning phrases and I really like the different formats to learn the vocabulary and spelling.

I used to love drops but now every time I try to log in, the screens cold on the opening screen "Drops". I tried to update, log in again and again but didn't work. I thought it could be something on my phone but all the apps are working fine. :(

Update: issues from 2018 resolved 😎 ----- This app has serious volume balance issues. Please add volume slider bar options for voice and separate slider for the effects. I can't hear the words and the sounds effects are way too loud. I have to have my phone on max volume to hear the words! EDIT: posted in the support boards twice and all they did was block my forum account. Ridiculous.

At last a real Spanish app that is NOT South American Spanish!!! I have found it great to support my Spanish language learning. I hope that they develop it further to support those who move on to intermediate learning level. The Spanish language use of verbs is very complicated for most British people learning the language. Thanks "Drops" for such a great learning tool, much appreciated.

After the last update, my premium just disappeared for some reason. I only had near month used up out of the whole year. Can I please continue using premium somehow? Thanks

Great for vocab. I really do wish that the free version gave you more as the quality of the app and the way you can revise vocab is amazing and great for visual learners and we are also able to hear the correct pronunciations. It is quite fun, as well, and it doesn't feel like a chore to go on and revise some vocab, in fact I enjoy it a lot. I do think that 6 minutes is not enough and I find myself rushing through so I don't waste my 5 minutes, but who knows? Maybe I'll upgrade.

The free version makes a fun and relaxing vocab builder to supplement other learning. Great selection of interesting words I haven't found on other apps. I wish they would include all of the basic functions – such as being able to see a list of all the words you've learned and their translations – in the free version and have the functions requiring payment really be "extras." Also, they do an impressive job representing most words with a simple image, but some are misleading or confusing.

Definitely is not going to teach you a language, but it's a fantastic and in depth vocabulary builder. The art is simple, charming, and effective. Super clean layout. Easy to use and fun. Even the spelling/word scrabble parts are interesting because they're not broken up by syllables; how the words are broken up is non-intuitive, which I find helps me learn and retain better because it requires a bit more thought.

Great app for Spanish vocabulary! One of the best, especially the premium version. I gave it for stars for the following. 1. No "turn off notifications" setting. I want notifications only for messages, not apps. 2. Needs more numbers. I am learning Spanish to help customers and would like more practice with more complicated numbers for dates, prices, and such. 3. I wanted to ask if they can add a business or banking section of the vocabulary?

It seems quite good, but I find that some of the illustrations, especially those involving verbs, are not clear at all. So I can learn which illustration goes with which Spanish phrase eg "me gusta", but I don't know the English meaning! because I've forgotten since the phrase was originally introduced. It would be better if the illustrations also contained the English words.

I love how this app is mostly in the language your trying to learn. That way there's no competition between you're native language and the new one. You can just focus your mind completely on learning the new language. This app is super simple and user friendly! It's great for complete beginners and those looking to brush up on their knowledge alike. Definitely will be trying out their other languages too!

I think it's a great app. Very easy to use even for kids. The only problem I would like the developing team to look into it, the flash animation made me feel kinda dizzy and uncomfortable, I mean the tick logo getting bigger and eventually exploded then showing another word, plz look into this and try to improve it if it's possible, thank you

This app is really well designed for quick interaction on mobile. I could practice several new words with a good variety of activities in just a few minutes. Edit after using it for several days: The actual content isn't very carefully curated to the language. Images are ambiguous, and there are inconsistencies in the speech and writing.

I have Drops in both Spanish and Korean and I have been learning and remembering so many words that I couldn't before. Drops has zero ads and doesn't constantly bug you to upgrade. With the free version, you learn so much in a short 5 minute lesson than I ever have in an hour long one. I highly suggest upgrading however, as it gives you up to 15 minutes and you can look over the words you learned. Regardless, it's an amazing app for both the free and paid version!

Good graphics and easy to learn. I like how the visuals help you along the way. I am not upgraded, but I am still very satisfied with this app. One thing I would change is the picture for the word "brilla". It is very similar to the picture for "el sol". They have similar meanings, but maybe add an animation for "brilla", as it means "it shines". Something like the sun rays moving in and out would be nice.

Only get 5 minutes of learning before you have to pay money or wait 10 hours. 5 minutes isn't long enough to feel like you've learnt anything. App description is misleading by saying it costs $3 per month as you're required to buy an annual subscription to obtain this price. Monthly price is actually $9 per month. However method of learning seems quite good. Would probably pay for it if it was cheaper or a one off payment.

Nicely designed app, clear and quick, with positive reinforcement along the way. Seems like a neat way to learn/recall basic vocabulary. Not got to the later lessons yet, but this one seems like a keeper. 5 minutes is an easy commitment for a former A-level student that hasn't practiced in a while. Recommended!

This app is a great learning tool which I have been using for about a year now. It uses simple but effective repetition to rapidly increase your vocab. It's easy to use and with enough variety to keep you interested for extended periods. The range of topics covered is amazing. You won't be able to solely use this app to learn a language but it teaches you so much vocab you just can't find on other apps. One of the few apps worth subscribing to as 5 minutes a day just wasn't log enough.

Drops is one of the most powerful tools that can bu used in order to learn any language you want. It is especially more beneficial if you are a visual learner. Another advantage of this app over other apps is its multi functionality. During the studies you hear, you see, you write ( somehow you write actually) and try to memorize the words. I have used it before when i tried to learn Korean and now it is helping me to acquire the Spanish language on a daily basis. Thanks to developers😁😁😁

Just started using it, so far no annoying ads, really pleasant design, teaching method makes sense to me. only 5 minutes for free, but unlike other apps, it's 5 minutes everyday, not just once. update: app started lagging, wasn't able to use it yesterday at all, it would just freeze.

Bel. M. Aug 31, 2019

I just started & it seems pretty good so far :) I like that there are visual images that goes along with the words,as a student this helps me to remember the words better. Also,it makes you spell out the words you just learnt, which is good. You can use it on the go since it doesn't require internet.Though,to get more lessons you have to pay but they got quite afew free lessons to try.I'll most likely delete this app after finishing those cources.

I've been looking for an app that is actually doing what it is supposed to do. I'm not sure how much the subscription costs yet, so I'll look that up later on when I've used the app more. But honestly, I am pleasantly surprised how much someone can learn in 5 minutes. It's fun, playful, very clear yet challenging and the 5 minute time limit is actually a really nice feature because it motivates you to learn faster. 4/5 🌟

I'm using the app just to keep my brain active, but learning so much.

Val. T. Feb 25, 2020

An app like this can realistically only be used for objects like clothes, food, furniture etc, yet they try to teach you pronouns and verbs with extremely minimalistic (and often demonically ugly) pictures. The idea is good, but it should be focused on objects and have more detailed drawings for them.

If you use Drops you can firstly reject outright any word or phrase offered, either because you know it or you don't want to know it. secondly it provides a revision dojo using an algorithm thirdly you can remove any word or phrase from the revision dojo fourthly it has a favorites which you have total control over. words or phrases you want to practice more go in this. fifthly you can practice any subject matter you choose on any given day. some words and phrases are in more than one category if appropriate. Learning by pictures instead of word for word translation allows you to think in the language you are learning, rather than the slow process of thinking in your mother language and translating in your head. Drops has regular 5 minute practice sessions for free. You can subscribe for more, or buy it outright.

Awesome and Fun app for memorizing words. My only downside is only getting 5 minutes of play for every 10 hours. Though if you do the monthly subscription for a year, its only not even 4.00 a month and its unlimited play time. This is the Type of app you want if you to go hand in hand with an actual Spanish learning app. this app only teaches you words, not anything else.

Jud. N. Jan 28, 2022

Super fun. I like the repetition of the words in different formats in order to get me to remember.

Drops is an excellent application that combines a visual example with simple exercises that gradually increase in skills. The app makes it easy to learn and remember vocabulary. I tested it on a language that I already knew and would recommend it to anyone.
