I've only used the app once, but like the method to learn words so far! Some of the illustrations may not always be the most obvious, they tell you the English word you're trying to learn too when first introduced, which helps. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this works over the longer term with daily practice and may change review later.
Loved the interaction with words, sounds and images, and the constant review of what you had learnt.
A very refreshing take on language learning, it's interactive and comes in 5-minute lessons. Fun! Though IMHO I was hoping that Drops will also offer another option to users buy a small package of time / credits. I'm the sort of person who has signed up for monthly subscription of stuffs only to forget about it and then being reminded every single time my credit card bills arrive 😂😂
UPDATE: The constant stream of wrong translations is tiring after a few days on premium and I'm exhausted and no longer care about this app. I hate how this app pressured me into paying for a subscription. This app turned from being a fun vocab game to a nightmare of not knowing what translations to trust and what not to. Even though I paid $45 for a subscription I'm canceling even though that will be a complete loss of money for me. I'm not going to spend more time sending in corrections.
Very interactive! Exceptional at building up vocabulary but it must be used together with sentence forming and speech. You can easily grasp a spoken language if you also try and it also helps if you have a native speaker to ask questions to.
Very enjoyable way to learn for visually minded people. Also like hearing the pronunciations to reinforce things. I am using this in conjunction with some other apps. This app helps give me a good scaffold to build from.
This app would be great, and I'd love to buy the full version, but it's spoken with a Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon) dialect. Therefore, it's only useful for people living in the far south. I live in capital city Hanoi in the north, and the pronunciation is far different here; enough to make the app fairly useless for people needing to speak with Northern pronunciation. It's a bit like having an app teaching English with a Glasgow accent instead of a London one.
I'm very happy with the way the app works. It's great and it has helped me learn a lot of things. I just wish there were an option to chose whether you want to learn with northern or southern accent, not only the southern one. But I'm still very satisfied, it's very helpful!
Tries to get you to buy a subscription before trying the app. Lack of navigation/menu options during learning. Overpriced for the quality and amount of content.
It's cool. I've only just started and I really like the app. It makes me feel more involved in the learning experience with helps with memorization! A+++!!!
Unclear that this was a recurring annual subscription. buried in fine print and zero reminder. Basically a scam. App is pretty but vocab choice seems bizarre - so many obscure words.
So far the app gives you five minutes daily trials without paying the $70 yearly subscription. But only 5 minutes a day I cannot tell if this is a good app or not I will update later once I've experienced more. Quite a good app to learn Vietnamese from the Southern dialect.
simple to use and visually pleasing to the eye! good way to learn. i wish there was an assessment peice though to skip levels
Subscription costs $60 a year! Absolute rip off. Don't bother installing... Other apps only cost a one-time charge of $1 to $3.

I have been looking for a southern Vietnam pronunciation tool for a while and this app seems to be great for that. I have shown it to native southern vietnamese and they agree that it is a great learning tool. Thanks.
It's pretty simplistic and you can only use 5 min per day without a premium subscription. Good for basic vocab per the trial.
Just started. Very impressed. Words are well grouped and exercises well structured. Pronunciation will remain a problem though

Very intuitive and clean design. The voice records are clear and the instructions are easy to follow
The app uses the southern accent which is quite different to the northern one. I wish the app had a northern accent option as I love the user interface and learning style

This is my first review. There's few apps to learn southern dialect Vietnamese. This is the best language app I've used so far! Great work and I love the user interface.
Did the first lesson with my 10 year daughter and it was really easy and fun to learn the words. It uses a southern dialect which is perfect for us!
I love it!! I speak Vietnamese fluently but never learn to read or write it. This app allows me to see the word and uses different game methods for me to spell them out.
Great app, however when learning new words, the translation is too fast, so i cant read it in time. Hope more time.is givent when translating the words
It's a very simple and great for people who already know the language but foget some due to lack of use. This app helps to recognize and memoize the different common written words
Like associating words with pictograms. Have looked for apps settings but cannot find anything in the menus to adjust speed. Need to slow down the speaker while maintaining pitch so can practice pronunciation (eg; trung in first lesson). Almost impossible to understand sound at the beginning of this word; assume there will be many more examples of this.
