The app fails after taking your money from the credit card and gives you no ticket. They don't have a process for refund. Just use dedicated machines at stations.
This garbage app sent me back to the credit card screen after I swiped to pay, then charged my card and never gave me a ticket. Between this and DOT, it's extremely difficult for an American to use Danish public transit. For those wondering, if the machines at the station decline your card, try buying a ticket at the 7-Eleven. That's what worked for me after an hour of struggle with this trash.
Cant renew my commuter card. After paying with mobile pay it just goes back to dsb app where it didnt register it. After a while it fails in mobile pay. Have tried 3 times
The app is working so so. With 5 years experience of using it, there was many situations that when I needed to purchase tickets it would show errors and would not let me buy anything. Even after many updates same situation still happening from time by time and put me in a risk to get a fine.
I bought a ticket; from my bank statement I saw it was charged, but no ticket information was available. I had to buy a second one.
Not very user friendly comparing to other transportation app already available in Denmark. But is works well
Trash customer service. They keep saying I can't change my ticket to the next day because it was a "special" discounted ticket, even though the next day the same ticket is available for the exact price. I did not ask for refund, I just asked to move the date 1 day, exact time, exact price. No logic, just repeating same thing: you cannot change it
Nice to be able to buy tickets from the phone, but it often crashes with "Something went wrong. Try again later". This renders you unable to buy tickets - often for days at a time. And nothing let's you check server status to see if the problem is on your phone or on the server side. I've mostly stopped using the app because it's so unstable and now try to rely on rejseplanen and rejsekort instead. This is a bit annoying currently since seat tickets then have to be bought separately at the station.
Have to give it one star, the app often, as in several times when opening, crashes to desktop while fetching stations. "An error happening while fetching stations" is shown very briefly and then the app crashes. This is quite stressful when the conductor is asking for a valid ticket. It maybe seems to have started since the last update on the 15th of May 2019. If this error is rectified I will adjust my rating
The rules for each type of tickets and seats are not always clearly stated in the app (or terms and conditions within the app), which lead to frustrating situations that could have otherwise been easily avoided. Also it's important to note that some type of tickets are only available to purchase through the website and not the app for whatever reason, which adds to a sub-par user experience.
It's better than the old app (looks better, and you can pay most of the time). You still can't select which seat you get or even if you get a window or aisle seat (important because the table in many cars is too short to place a laptop in front of an aisle seat). There is no more 10 trip card even though the app's description still mentions it. Luckily I bought a year's worth of 10 trip cards because all the replacements are more expensive (and orange tickets are useless).
It's easy to book on but they had all the wagon numbers wrong which made finding my seat such a headache. The app sometimes crashes as well and sometimes double books the same seat. Lots of work needs to be done, though it is nice knowing that these are mistakes easily correctable. The true essence of a good app is when it's friendly to foreigner s. Unfortunately this falls below the Nordic standards I have come to expect, ( being a commuter in both Finland and Sweden)
Used it just fine with only minor hiccupps until this week, when out of a sudden, without any sort of update, it stopped workig altogether - as if it's not connecting to the Internet. Everything else on my phone is working just fine; pretty clear that it's an app-related issue As I was mainly relying on the DSB app for my seat reservations, this is going to be a big waste of time and make the process of obtaining a seat reservation significantly less efficient for me. Very disappointed.
Downloading this app is not worth the financial risk. It will rob you at virtual gunpoint, and then do it again because it made you buy the wrong (non-refundable!) ticket. When you arrive at the station stated by the app, your train might be at an entirely different station! When (if) you finally get into a train legally, there is a high possibility it is the wrong train. This is because the app doesn't contain a real departure board. Good luck! You're gonna need it.
First install failed, could not log in. After reading reviews about similar problems, chose to give it a week for the programmers to sort out the issue. Now it actually works, I even managed to transfer my 10-ticket card from the old app. It is still a battery hog on Android, though! Got curious when I suddenly experienced much lower battery time on my phone. Be sure to go to settings and turn off "strømkrævende promt/power demanding prompt" (or whatever it is called in the english version) and also turn off the running process! As far as I can see, since the install, this app ate a hundred (!) times more battery energy than Chrome! And I have used Chrome more often than the DSB app! That's A Hundred Times more battery drain. Not 100%. ONE HUNDRED TIMES MORE - for a "dormant, not frequently used app"!
The first time I bought a ticket it went all smoothly in the search and posterior payment. Now that I'm trying to search for a new trip I can't even see the times, it's running slowly and not showing any results. Sorry but almost always there's something negative to tell
Terrible app, nonintuitive interface and generally a headache to use - not to mention DSB themselves, known for their incompetence, constant delays and cancellations, all that whilst providing incorrect or no informations for the commuters. Travelling with DSB is always a stressful experience, never knowing whether the trains arrives or not and if it doesn't, DSB has made sure to make the whole compensation process a real hassle, not to mention that travelling by car is often way cheaper...
The app doesn't work, and i keep getting errors when i try tk search for a trip.
Use the DEFAULT browser from user's system! I have chrome and another browser preinstalled by phone vendor (i.e. I cannot remove it). The preinstalled one is NEVER used. Chrome is set as default one. Every other apps use chrome to open webpages, but your app repeatedly tries to use the preinstalled one to show the login page. Update: the error reporting is amazing - "something went wrong - try again later" is very informative, especially when your train in five minutes.
i wish to get cheaper offers. how come i cannot save my journey anymore? for the rest it is a very simple app. i love it.
No option for purchase only seat for an already purchased ticket using a ticket number or something. If you buy a ticket from the machine in the station you get confused by the question seat selection or standard .
the app charges you twice when you renew your commuter card and then you are spiraled into the rabbit hole of trying to contact the right dsb support team. The app also logs you out randomly and puts you in the weird position of not being able to show your ticket when you are asked to. Overall the app is as robust as all DSB services and their ability to meet their train schedules - 0/5 stars.
Terrible app. Has it been through usability testing? You buy a ticket, can then only click Exit, and it disappears! You try again, same result. This way, free seat tickets could quickly get sold out; result: Empty trains. Reduced DSB revenue. Is this really what you want? Multileg tickets don't display the final destination in the overview; if I have several tickets, how do I know which is which??? Usability testing heavily required! Edit: Recently, the app keeps requiring login. Why???
UPDATE: Rules have been put in place in order to make public transportation a safe means of travel during these COVID times. However these extra required tickets have been absolutely dreadfully implemented. I have bought and paid for a commuter card that I have no idea if I'm able to use from one day to the next as I can neither see available seats or purchase them. These setbacks have had a serious impact on my ability to get to work.
Unnecessary design updates and silly features that keep breaking basic functions in the app. Not unusual for the app to either work adequately to not working at all from update to update. For commuter cards the user is required to create a DSB Plus account, with various discounts and offers, but the offers are only available with a valid phone number. Sadly foreign numbers are not supported as the developers overlooked the possibility of people moving to Denmark and keeping their old number.
Overall the app works, there are some slight issues with the app at times not showing search results. Futhermore some times i can't see my tickets before i reopen the app. It would also be nice to be able to add your dsb employee card to the app for ease of use.
the app usually works fine but every now and then it just gives errors. (unknown error pls try again later; your search didnt give any result etc) Since most of the times it is not possible to buy tickets in other ways, it puts customers in a risk for a fine as controllers never accept that the app is not working. It is really frustrating, you should at least communicate with each other.
