The app is useless since the update. It does not matter what devices I use it on. It doesn't work. And it's 100% due to the update .. I have the app on three different devices. And the two that updated no longer work. I sent you a photo of the error code I was getting and that apparently has no meaning I've told you what phones and camera I'm using. Just rerelease the previous version
Very bad experience with this app. I have a m50 and have no intervalometer in it. Cripple hammer in action... This app keep disconnecting from my camera. I need to plug/unplug the usb cable, switch modes on the camera to eventually be able to pair. Once it's happy and connected, I guess it is fine. But you can't use your phone after because sometimes when the app is in the bg, it can be cleared by the OS. And you loose your timelapse and need to star over the connection dance.
I know I wrote a poor review before, but that was wothout having all the facts. i got the right cables, MADR SURE THEY WERE RIGHT!!! and the app worked like a charm. it controls my camera and all thr basic controls (iso, shutter, etc etc). very happy with this.
Got Pro and it worked nicely with my little M50 (so I know I have the right cable). After update 4.3.1, it never finds the camera. I managed to downgrade to 4.2.7, and it connects no problem once again. It seems there may have been a bit of regression around 4.3.0. When it plays nicely with the M50, I quite like it.
Sometimes connection fails to camera but features are very good. Have tried on 20d 400d 750d on 500d connection times out so perhaps adding refresh to the app may assist. With changes in firmware on canon cameras may be a reason. Quite happy with the app apart from loss of connection intermitantly. Would like to test future versions. Very good interface for the user except changes in F stop tends to stop the communication on usb via otg. Hope that this review is helpful Good App TBH
I have tried at least 10 payed and free dslr controllers for my Nikon D3200 and this is the only one that has worked. I have unplugged the USB cable several times then replaced it and the app worked every time. I have only used the free version so far and am going to test it for a few days before I upgrade. So far very pleased
Interesting but too ad polluted. The heavily crippled evaluation app recognises my camera but there are too many ads for any meaningful trial. Was going to make purchase for $9.99 but when I proceeded Google wanted €11.99 instead of a fair exchange rate. Not developers fault probably but feels like a rip off.
I've had this app for a long time, it worked perfectly with my Canon Eos Rebel T6 but it just doesn't work with my Canon Eos M50, even though the description says it's compatible. I tested both by cable and by wifi, running the application on a Samsung Galaxy S10 + (Android ver. 11) to no avail. The Canon Connect app works and the camera is also recognized to download images with other applications when connecting it with the cable (example Lightroom), so it only does not work with this application. I have purchased the pro version. It would be ideal if there was a video explaining how to configure or connect correctly to avoid inconveniences (in case it was a configuration problem).
Canon M50. Pro version of the app. time lapse works flawlessly. Which means that now I can have exposure time > 1/30 and any amount of time between exposure. BIG limitation on M50 built-in time lapse! Must-have app for M50 and Android phone's that have OTG-USB.
Intrusive and non stop ads make this app unusable. Every time you tap on a menu, you get blasted by an app. Uninstalled after one minute. I could not evaluate the functionality of this app ― all I did was wait for ads to stop.
Testing the trial version for my Canon 700D, its working well except that when i try to review the images on my samsung tablet, the photos are all blurred but when reviewing then on my phone, its fine, any idea how i can fix the issue of the blurred images on the tablet? ty
App now connects to my Canon M50 with the may update. Was using Pixel 3 before but it wouldn't connect via wired or wireless. Now that it does I bought the premium for timelapse. Seems to be working fine for now!
Not compatiple with my 1200d and despite me connecting my otg cable and camera cable to it, It does not detect my camera.despite it being on. I also tried my sister's 1300d and that does not work. Am I even using the right cables? I have the OTG cable and my camera's cable and yet it does not work on this app and all the free versions of other apps that claim to control a DSLR.
Just what I needed to take night sky, time lapse, raw on my Canon m50. There is no other app or device that can accomplish that on this camera. The Canon inc. app doesn't allow one to change all the settings as this one does. What's with those multi million dollar companies?
In all fairness i cant rate this app because it crashes shortly after opening. Have tried it on three different devices with the same result on all three(lgg8, essential ph1, and 2019fire tablet..)
Lack luster, does a lot less than the free wifi version from camera manufacturer and with worse live view lag. Is the one thing I would pay money for in this app really worth? Wired no! Because I can do it with other free wired apps.
Excellent app for controlling my Nikon D3200. Works great using the OTG adaptor that came with my Galaxy S9. The free version permits live view, autofocus etc. I'm going to buy the full version as it's so useful.
The only reason I needed this was for timelapse making. To see that it costs 10 bucks is annoying. Why else would you need a remote when you need to pay 10 bucks for something that is not necessary
This is perfect dslr remote control software if... it supports Nikon D5500. I was happy when I tested the free version, but i realized that it did not support many functions for my Nikon.
I've seen that thus app is now compatible with the Canon m50, but cannot seem to get the app to connect to the camera's WiFi connection on my phone. I'm sure It's something I'm doing wrong. Is there any guidance available for the m50 specifically?
I could not get it to work after long time. The Canon app does work (wifi). Not this. And no Bluetooth option it seems
Doesn't work over WiFi. App can see camera and camera can see the phone but when you tap it the app says waiting for confirmation but the camera disconnects and says it cannot find the phone.
Live view works until I try to do anything. Then it freezes up and won't connect to the camera until I turn it off and on again. No shutter or video activation. Canon 5d mk ii Huawei p20
Great app butBulb mode doesn't work and neither does live view, everything else works great the the interface is nice.
It took me all of 30 seconds to figure out how un user friendly this app is and how marketing orientated it is. It only took me 1 second to uninstall it. Fast
Download the app. is useless doesn't work with my d7100. Just as well the nikon wifi app works every time.
This app does not work and wants you to buy a cable to use it and it took me 3 hours just to make a short video. I do not recommend. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!
you told that the live view won't work on nikon d3400 because the camera doesn't support it! but the app named "camera connect & control" simply support live view! you better work on your full of bug app!!
It actually works with my EOS 100D, unfortunately it doesn't with EOS 6D mkII (but it's not supported so it's obvious). I'm willing to use it as a intervalometer to time lapse - I've tried with some cheap cables but never got good results. This small app seems to work flawless and thanks to it I can try with my old camera instead of tossing money on new one £10 is better deal than £1000 for second body. Fortunately I already have cable and it works on my old phone so it seems like a bargain.
