I try and use the app on my smart TV. The app forever has problems of loading the channels on live TV and the TV shows on catch up. It just shows it's blue buffering circle and just won't load anything. Often you will need to force stop the app and clear the data, then log in again and hope that you will be able to get something. Not very nice when you're trying to get on to watch something and end up missing half of it due to this constant problem.

Dont know why this app cannot work properly? The old version was perfect, never issues. Now we are stuck with this app that cant even stream a live game without it buffering and end up at a random part of the game that has already passed. Also, trying to watch series is a nightmare. Randomly just starts from the beginning again. It is so frustrating,

Does this HIGHLY irritating thing whereby it loses connection, attempts to reconnect, and when it finally does - the feed on display is 5 mins behind. That leaves me watching scenes I've already seen while missing live scenes. Happens too frequently. The only fix is to go back to the channel list and pick the same channel, only for the same cycle to repeat in sometimes as little as 3 mins. 😡😡😡😡😡

Shows are now being uploaded on time making it easier for me to catch up. The "continue watching" feature is accurate now and shows no longer disappear or start from scratch when you do find the episodes. The minimization feature is black when we minimize the screen on our phones so please check that. Overall not perfect but getting better.

Very bad Xbox One integration. Often gets stuck on loading screen (not network issue, 100mbps fiber) and will never load until I uninstall and reinstall the app. It got so bad that I recently paid for another subscription service to not miss out on live sport (F1TV). I then compared, realised how poor the frame rate and screen resolution was on dstv now, and that the audio doesn't make use of my surround sound system. Wish all sports had a seperate subscription service so I can cancel dstv.

The horrible decision to only allow one device stream at a time, was made worse by the fact that the app can't even tell which device is streaming. I've even removed all devices from managed devices and still get a one stream device error. Not only was it a stupid decision but they didn't even bother to do development so that at least their stupid decision was a smooth user experience when switching devices.

I wish there was a way not to rate a star at all. All efforts to get a response from support failed. Live chat and emails, none got a response. I even called the CS who said she had transfered my case or opened a case for me and it's been looked at but I am yet to get a call or resolve to my queries for over 4 months now. I can no longer view any show. It's only shows channel 100. I have uninstalled severally, cleared my cache, and storage same. This so so annoying.

My Dstv now app experience so far was not pleasant. 1. The chat feature does not work. I don't use WhatsApp. 2. The download tab shows empty although it is not. It won't allow me to delete downloaded content. Clearing the app data and cache only clear settings and a few others things but not downloaded content. 3. The user interface is not stable. Scrolling through the different episodes is very difficult to do because the screen layout will either jump to the top or the bottom.

I am a DSTV Premium Subscriber. I updated the app this past Thur as requested when I wanted to watch live sport from hospital. Wi-fi was avail & working. I was not able to pick up anything. It kept telling me "no content available". Also many of the sports channels had disappeared off the app. Now 4 days later the problem is exactly the same. This is not acceptable. I never had a problem with the previous app before updating it, as requested by DSTV. How do I get the original app back?

The app always becomes unresponsive and also crashes on my mobile phone. On my Xbox the app only become unresponsive sometimes on start up but everytime I've tried to use the app on my phone I can barely watch anything for 10 min without running into an issue, if it even let's me on it in the first place without crashing everytime it loads. I feel like having this app on a phone is useless for on the go streaming.

Updated to the latest version and app continuously freezes, unable to view any content, very frustrating! There is also a delay of +/- 4 min on live sport. The app is a total waste of time and does not function as it should! The older version worked much better

I am having the worse experience with multichoice/DStv In trying to sign in to my accounts. I have tried all options I can but then to no avail. No email or contact feedback on trying to reset my password. My password logs in perfectly with my email but I can't sign in on this app which is frustrating. And the pains in the skin is when I try customer support service nothing is being done to help . Very frustrating

I keep getting ads when I want to play something on catch up, it keeps cycling 1 of 2 and then 2 of 2 and then back to 1 of 2 etc. I left my phone for 10 minutes and still playing ads. EDIT: I FOUND THE ISSUE, PLEASE FIX IT: The app doesn't report that you have already a device streaming, it just continues cycling ads until the other device stops streaming, please fix!!!

I didnt expect this from dstv, i downloaded this app so that i could catch up with my favourite series due to my busy schedule but i got disappointed. I get endless adverts before watching a series or movie, i dont even get a chance to watch because right after the endless adverts it will indicate some error. I would retry but the same thing happens again and again. I wasnt able to watch even 1 series or movie😒. Im sad, angry, disappointed and frustrated.

Unusable. In a household where we have 2 separate Smart TV's we are unable to watch at the same time. Although we pay for DSTV premium we can't make use of premium features. This is has been ever since the decision was made to only allow streaming on one device at a time, absolutely destroying themselves when compared to the competition such as Netflix. Highly font recommend ever spending your money on DSTV if you want to utilise a smart phone or smart TV.

The service is great but the thing that annoys me the most is when I click an episode and the audio is playing but the screen stays black. I have to exist and return to an episode many times until it starts showing the video too. Please fix this.

Since loadshedding has become more frequent these days i see myself becoming more reliant on the dstv now streaming via mobile. On many occassions you watch a channel for 10 minutes then suddenly it buffers and then it repeats the last 1 minute of picture that was already watched...watch again for that 1 minute...buffers again and goes back to the same frame i watched just 2 minutes ago...basically its on loop. Please invest in competent developers who have proper qualifications.

1. The app clpses/crashes when my phone has rotated. When I go to the show I was watching it restarts doesn't even resumes from where the app closed. 2. Your 1080p and 576p are the same on this app. There is no difference. The app lacks the crispness it should have at that high resolution.

This is hopeless, a waste of time & money. I'm out advice anyone reading this not to waste their resources on this app or subscription. Use a streaming service or youtube etc. I have been engaging with these guys for years without results. I have multiple decoders but cannot select between them on the app. Though there is active subscription on some, this cannot be watched on a mobile device. THIS IS AN ANALOGUE SYSTEM PRETENDING TO BE DIGITAL

Almost every update results in problems with your downloaded episodes and helpline assistants are even more clueless on how to help you - their standard reply is uninstall and re-install the app or sign in&out which just results in losing all the downloads anyway. DSTv has gone to ....

Such a frustrating app! If I could give a lower score, I sure would! The worst streaming service EVER! The screen goes blank every few minutes and it takes way too much time for shows to load. There are constant ad interruptions (don't know why since this is not a free subscription) and once an ad is done playing, the show restarts from the beginning. A 20 minute show can easily take you up to twice the time to finish watching with all the ads and buffering. It's ridiculous!

I recently got the streaming service. What a useless package, only one device can watch TV or Catch up at a time. How daft. Why allow for 4 devices if only one can watch live TV, total waste of money. It would be better to get the satellite and decoder, at least then you'll have dual view.

I have been using this app for awhile and it was very okay by then but now I don't know what's the issue it lags 6to 5 minutes behind the actual time when watching football matches.......and it makes me feel like I'm watching highlights instead of a live match..... Good app though But recently you can no longer download your catch up videos to watch later you always get error on it. Please kindly check on it to make stable just like before. Even some of the tv shows upload in catchup didn't start from episode 1 eg. My Flatmates it's upload was from episode 6.

Worst app ever yooooh!!! Even when one device is registered it says more than one are streaming, super frustrating because it's eating up my data with only adverts playing and not the actual show, I've been watching ads for the past 20 minutes thinking it will clear up but nothing!!!!

This app is completely useless. All I want to do is watch the English Premiere league and this app just decided it doesnt want to show any of the channels. It has worked in the past bt not for past week. Out of the supersport channels it only has 4 of them, 233, 234, 238, 239. no one even wants to watch thtat, it has nothing from channel 200-212

Your latest version of the TV app is not optimised & only works well with 6Mbps & above - it's still buffers & is clanky/slow even with 10mbps.. I've tested this on multiple Tvs & different Internet connections. It could be a content caching problem which you should resolve by having servers closer to the markets you serve. It's terrible guys, you can do better.
