About DTC (Dubai Taxi Corporation):
H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Executive Council; having reviewed Law No.(17) of 2005 to establish Roads & Transport Authority (RTA); Executive Council Resolution No.(8) of 2006 to establish the bodies subsidiary to RTA and approve its organizational chart; resolved to be established by virtue of this resolution and Corporation to be called Dubai Taxi Corporation, which shall enjoy legal personality and be financially and administratively independent. Dubai Taxi Corporation shall exercise its activities on commercial bases and may contract with third parties and in this capacity may litigate as plaintiff or defendant. The Corporation so established shall be subsidiary to RTA.
Dubai Taxi Corporation’s(DTC) objective shall be to transport passengers in and to the Emirate of Dubai by small vehicles (taxis); lease small vehicles and exercise any other activities related to such purposes. The Corporation may also transport passengers to the Emirate of Dubai from outside in accordance with any agreements made with the concerned authorities in other Emirates.

Not having normal taxi option. And charges come very high than what been estimated. Driver take long routes to increase the distance and charges become very high. Overall very bad experience and will not be using this app again.
Unreliable and disappointing. No use scheduling as no one turns up and they cancel at last minute saying timed out
It take ages to operate. map is not there so no clue if it is working or not charges are at least double than normal taxi fare what a lousy app
1. U spam me with promocodes, yet when I tey to apply them, it says 'expired'. They are not expired btw. U have bug. 2. No option to call before scheduling a ride, only option to email??? Who in the right mind wants to email at the moment when he is in hurry to find a ride??? 3. Your drivers don't read the notes sent during booking. 4. Last ride was much more expensive then what the app predicted (almost twice the price)
Deceptive marketing and false advertisement On the link to download the app, it clearly states that the first purchase has 25% discount. I created a new account and booked the first ride. There was no code indicated or any t&cs. I emailed them before the ride was finished to say I didn't see any 25% when I booked and they repliés after the ride saying I will get 20% on the next ride. I don't want that, i want my bill with the correct amount.
Not good, I booked for air and booking cancelled by itself on scheduled time. No response on happiness centre
Thabks a lot for the great work! Looking forward you takeing over Uber & Careem! notes: 1) the app can't remember or select default payment method, always defaults back to cash when booking 2) ongoing and cancelled bookings are not listed under my trips which is a bit confusing if the trip get canceled 3) I personally would love to pay at the beginning of the month in advance for the entire month rides but with a discount, careem's style worked ubtil they increased prices, thank a lot!
Worst service ever. I scheduled a taxi to get to Abu Dhabi airport, was showing up on the app until it was time for the driver to arrive. The booking then disappears from the app, there is no way to contact DTC other than email and i ended missing my flight because i couldn't reach the airport in time. Use Careem or Uber; they're are a little expensive but atleast they work.
Used them once! The car was late because the navigation wasn't working properly. Ended up having to give directions to the driver. Their estimates were completely off so they worked out more expensive than Careem. Deleted the app! Who needs the headache.
App isn't working well : I've tried adding my credit card 4 times now and it just does NOT register. But it has no problems deducting the AED1 everytime. UPDATE: DTC very promptly fixed the problem. App works great now. Thanks!
Further to DTCs response to my last post, I have tried all sorts of things to make the App work - reloaded cards, signed out & in again, deleted app & reloaded, sort assistance from DTC Happiness centre. Nothing succeed. So please do not try to make it sound like this is my error. It is your app, sorry to say. Edit following DTCs response: Yes, DTC did provide me with bank details, because the app was not working. That is my point. The app was not working and I wasted too much time on it. Unusual customer service response as well - to try to blame the customer for DTC's shortcomings. Uber for me!
My go to dubai transport solution. Getting a limo at these speeds under 5 minutes is absolutely brilliant.. Can't wait to see this app going into all Emirates.. Would recommend this to everyone.. My favourite mode are the teslas.. And they come with exceptionally professional drivers..
Worst service. The driver was supposedly close by and would reach sports city in 4 Mins. Later it goes to 10 mins, he is on the way. 14 mins later the driver is in al barsha. Tried canceling, I get 5 dhs charged. Called the Customer Care, instead of taking complaint they book another taxi.
Sms verification doesn't work on international phone numbers
Primitive app. Does not have a way to redeem receipts not ordered thru the app to shukran points. Yet they send their drivers to pick up people from the airport. Not only are they expensive but also cars need maintenance that is overdue.
This ride was amazing. From booking to riding to completion. Finally a great experience. Short waiting time. Great car (Tesla Fleet). Less cost. That's what a customer needs!
No way to stop receiving promotional text messages. Live in the US and used the app once on a trip to Dubai and they keep texting me with promos. Standard "stop" reply doesn't work. Incredibly frustrating.
The worst experiance was I booked the taxi in mid night and waited for more than 1 hr Driver was so rude that he dint even attained my call n he went on a long TRIP
Generally I book Dtc cabs, but they are charging double the amount then normal RTA taxi, I am so annoyed with my last trip, where I visit often n pay 25aed I ended up paying 47 aed. Driver took long way to reach the destination ,from home the destination he put in his system, he changed in-between to make higher fare. Please make sure if you have extra money then only book these useless ppl.
Impossible to use. Says that the ride should be scheduled 15 minutes from now, and even when you select 30 minutes - it refuses to make the booking. Waste of time.
Very Bad Service I booked for a taxi with female driver for my young daughter because she was going alone for an important appointment but unfortunately at last moment I got notification that taxi with female driver is not available despite my booking was made 16 hours in advance and therefore I must make an alternative arrangement on urgent basis with no sufficient time left. It's really disappointed and will never trust this service anymore.
I can't add my card, the App keeps crashing, it's frustrating. I've tried the latest update and an earlier version to no avail.
Love the cars but sometimes the apps lags a lot. And there is not enough cars i think. And i think you should mention to your drivers to always take the fastest way to the destination.
Hello . I have tried that app . it is very good and quick acceptance for my booking and every thing well organized , the service is very interesting and quick as same as international Apps .
Booked a taxi at night for an early morning ride. Next morning, the taxi never arrived with no support available except email. Apparently the ride timed out whatever that supposed to mean. Booked via careem and went with that instead.
Never book with them. They cancel the booking at their will. I had to go through hard time to get alternative transportation to catch my flight. No advance information passed to customer if no vehicle is available. I will never book with them in future.
