Outage map constantly crashes. There is no verification on the app that an outage has been successfully reorted. After 3 hours the infornation on the app about the outage still has not been updated as if it wasn't even previously reported.
App is becoming useless. Cannot view bills, even though I have 2 PDF viewers. I haven't been able to pay my bill on the app for months because of internal issues... did you fire your IT guy last year? The new one not very good? I used to love the app. Now it's pretty much useless to me.
Was super useful but all the constant updates that log you out are ridiculous.....every other month it seems and now I'm lock out of using it because after an update I used my saved password and it didn't work. Can't get the email to confirm who I am it's just a mess. With all the money you charge for power you think you could afford to have a better app made. Do better. Who can I call or email to get my app account access back? Super frustrating waiting on the automated email that never comes.
Outage Map cannot find my address on the map, even though I'm a customer with that exact same address on my account. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck.
DTE recently updated this application. Now keep getting the message "The DTE Outage Center is not currently available. Please try again." This problem has been consistent since the update.
Outage Center totally useless! Will not open no matter what I try, just says not available at this time. Rest of the app seems OK, but why bother if I can't use it to report an outage?
The constant update requirement is annoying and no improvements are made. But it takes payment so there it is..
Online billing invoices aren't as detailed as the paper invoices. And, it's worse if you're using your phone, some of the character don't display properly!
Can't view my bill. No pdf readers are installed error. Even though I have 3 different PDF are installed. Let me download the file please. No you can't download the file because you don't have any PDF readers installed. I don't care let me download the file you stupid software. Awful app that doesn't do basic things
Seems like every time I open ,either to pay a bill or see an outage, it needs to be updated. Its a simple app. Y the constant updates.
DTE "NEWLOOK" does not allow you to cancel scheduled payments and/or change payment method for scheduled payments. No 24 hour live chat helpline available; it appears the old desktop version is not running concurrently and is blocked. Short-sighted inexperienced poorly tested NEWLOOK system developers should be fired and DTR executives fined! Not intuitive excludes pertinent information to understand billing and payment history
Useful for reporting the bi-weekly outages. No communication through the app is a big downside. Updates get sent via 3x too many texts, then you go back into the app to tell them that no, the power is still out, they didn't fix it. The outage map is fairly clunky but good enough I guess. At least it's not a huge battery drain for when you're stuck without power? And the payment center does what it needs to. But let's be real, you only need the app to tell them that the power is out again.
The only reason I'm giving this great app a 3 star rating is because it contains ads, plain and simple. DTE already makes enough money, why tack on ads on an app that should be free of such nonsense since it is provided by DTE. Every other app that I've ever had from my credit card providers or Banks were all without ads or in-app purchases so I really don't understand the necessity of the ads. Especially since I am only looking for a clean, light-weight app, to merely make my DTE payments with.
This phone app is much faster than the on-line computer prompts...none of the repeat re-entering of data.
Since last update 6-16 I'm not able to log in to pay my bill. Come on DTE, I know you are aware of the issue. With the money you make you can't keep your phone app working properly. How about no one has to pay their bill until the app is fixed. Yeah right like that would happen. You would be all over them with late fees and cancelation notices. But you let your app go weeks or months without being fixed.
Couldn't log in, site is very hard to navigate
The app is definitely buggy. Could use some tweaking, but it does what it is supposed to.
DTE Energy app makes paying the electric bill quick, convenient and so easy to use. There's no doubt or that dodgy *wait and see if it's paid* in two weeks or longer and never sure if it was. Now we never have to worry anymore when the bill is paid within 1 day of submitting the payment with the DTE app. I get a notification, a text to my mobile phone, and an email that says it's paid.
Don't like the new outage map. It usually takes me right to my house. But for some reason it takes me to a spot in detroit.
I really like the ability to notify DTE of a power outage via the application. Funny story, it was a horribly hot night when we Lost power and it had been a few hours of suffering and we were planning on getting hotel rooms until the power came back on. Just before we started the reservations, I remembered and used the application to notify DTE of this long power outage. After doing this, 5 minutes later the power was on! Go figure.
The functionality of the app is fine but I really hate that I'm forced to update it just to pay my bill on time. The app wont even open if you dont have the latest version when the previous version was working just fine. Some people have limited storage on their device. I wish the app developers would be more considerate of that.
Works great. Easy to report and see issues near to us. Information is Updated frequently.
This seems like a good app. No more sending the bill by mail, which saves me money for a stamp and the gas for going to mail it. Very fast and convenient. I'm going to retract the formal statement of this app. It was good, but they must have a terrible IT department that you can longer use the app as before. You have to log in as a guest.
Easy, simple and convenient
Quit updating the app every freaking thing. It's annoying!
For whatever reason, DTE Billing PDFs sent via E-mail are the only PDFs that require a password to open. Not sure why, but it JUST started happening after an update. Not a clue what the encrypted password would be because it's not my log-in password. DTE needs to get the bug fixed.
