DTube Client (Under Maintenance)

Dtube is everything I have dreamed of. A YouTube alternative worthwhile. For me it's perfect. There's only one problem. There needs to be a easier quicker sign up option. Maybe you guys could make it only take 1-2 weeks for those who wish to upload and those who only desire to view could get in quicker? I'm just saying. I wish for this app to go mainstream big time and the sign up process is what's going to stop it. There has to be another way, a solution!

Very poor app. Videos don't want to go full screen. Constant buffering or just goes to a black screen. Plus the sign up is a pita as this is just a client app and no real interface. Developer needs more experience and to properly beta before release.

search feature does not work on this or the website. videos I uploaded 6 months ago no longer play. this has potential but it is never going to take off because of all the bugs, not saying the app is bad the service from D tube is broken and I have a feeling it will remain that way for a long time

Everything is beautiful on the newer updated version and i haven't posted in a while cause before it was harder. Unfortunately I still cannot post as it won't allow me to post without tags but it's not allowing me to insert tags? 🤔 I'm sad as I was getting super excited about posting on dtube again but my post is hanging. Five stars as other reviewers unffair, add a download button in mp4 / mp3 as well as video format but mostly allow it to play in the backround when phone screens off, even on free version.. Check out SuperTube made for Blackberry 10 a.k.a. QNX the best operating system, that is the greatest YT Client 'ever built & this reminds me a bit of it 'if head that way... do not give up! BTW: Lucid Launcher Pro is the greatest android launcher even in 2020, first thing i download on new phone, updates ! !

Videos will not play on app just like website. im using a lg g6 on a T-mobile network. **update** it seems only 1/4 of the videos will play. Ive been told each individual account on dtube has 'bandwidth' limitations. Is that true? perhaps that is the problem im encountering. Maybe lower rep and newer users have a smaller bandwidth allowance as I am able to watch the high earning videos from high rep people no problem. is there a way to turn off the screen to my phone with out stopping the vid

5 stars because i like the idea of this and an alternative to the turd show cash grab youtube has turned into. when using the search feature, clicking enter doesnt do anything, meaning i literally cant search for things. ive submitted a request for an account. i hope it has something to do with that.

Really nice dapp, development team is very receptive to ideas . Most of the bad reviews are from people not understanding private keys. I have tested for months and the app pairs well with well pinned videos.

I used this app, and intent to use it again and much more. Thank you for the developers, also for making available a video platform that is kinda recent. Evidently there is probably not many people helping for its grow and evolution, thats why is understandable that things are still a bit limited, and thank you for providing this app where people are not going to be censored, blocked and put on grounded for speaking/sharing truth. I know its gonna get better. Thanks

I tried to login to dtube app on Android tv with my steemit and my dtube account, and the android tv app says login failed. Can login everywhere else BUT the tv app, which I want. Can we get a way to tie into the app without having to enter our extremely long password, like all the other sites and apps? Needless to say, can't log in via tv app, only on webpage and mobile app (both steem and dtube).

I was looking to add my Vlog to this site however multiple videos do not play. in fact few play... .And within the same subject matter as I plan on going into; NO videos play. very concerning .. very..

You automatically see the developer's videos in your feed, very scummy move. Additionally, mini-player requires you to buy premium for 1.50. Overall very unintuitive and messy looking app

I don't like this app it is like YouTube but worse the videos won't play and there are hardly any videos I was looking up how to learn sign language and it pulled up things about living in china but only one sign language video that I couldn't get to play. Horrible app do not download this app it was just a waist of my time!

Pretty good alternative to YouTube! Best part is, they don't have heavy censorship rules like YouTube... it reminds me of YouTube back in its early days!

I like the layout. Looks good but still has plenty of work to be done. Search does not work for me yet. My videos or info from my account do not show up. Ill give updated reviews with each and every update.

I'm unable to search for anything, rendering the app almost completely unusable. Looks like the AskSteem API has been discontinued as of January 1st.

please improve so that 1. the phone will not sleep during playback. 2.dragging video down will minimize viewport . usefull then navigationg between search results

love the app but still tons of buggyness. battle to upload. battle to watch vids. constant buffering. really wish they could get it right. still love it though.

Very good, looks to be the future of YouTube. Looking forward to adding feature to play audio with app on background.

I understand you have your process' and everything but I am not comfortable giving you the personal information required to not only sign up for your service but mandatory to even open a pdf on adobe acrobat now. I loaded this up wanting to decentralize, not give my personal information to the world on billboard. I'm out.

Continue with this great work. 5 stars for the idea of replacing YouTube with all it's annoying advertisements.. please continue development. This has great potential! Don't give up!

even tho it's not working you did say so in the title "under maintanance" but I looked into how this app was made and its open source and can be cloned for anyone wanting a steem app without a wallet but if it had a steemconnect wallet it would work great

The worst app that i had ever founded as a YouTube alternative Very hard to sign in and this mad people's not gave us chance to make our own passwords. I don't know how can this stupid media became an alternative for YouTube now I understand that YouTube is the best and this is it's worst alternative

I can type text into the search field but hitting enter does nothing there is no way to view videos when you cannot search. Submitted from an LG v40.

Love the decentralised concept. Could the app have a background playback function for all day listening with the screen off?

Not user-friendly at all sign into it on the web come to the app need a password key I don't have one can't find it gave up it's a waste of time

Not able to login with my credentials, says password wrong: guess what its not, coz i can login and use it on my pc but somehow this stupid app says pass wrong... bs app

absolutely useless. downloaded app and can only access blank homescreen even after setting up steemit account.

Awesome but can you extend the file uploading size to more than 10 gbs as dailymotion does not support longer video like YouTube as your server also support short sized videos can it extends

It's very nice but unsure if it's free or got to pay. Tube free but I not keen on the dirty way they do things so I found this up and I not sure how this works maybe should be how it works for people put and for followers to so please get intouch I like to know answers to my questions I was follor to Shaun most content disappeared I grown to hate tube so it be nice to know how it works thankyou so I can move over to yourself thankyou from Julie
