DU Caller: CallerID & Recorder

Excellent, finally a call blocker app that does what it says all the time and has an option to block the robocaller and/or spam caller from leaving a voicemail. You can even block SMS text messages too! It really is the best blocking app with so many blocking options and helpful info. One of the most important and useful apps that I have on my phone. Just try it and see.

Recently it has started to keep telling me of blocked calls even though I've told it to not do so. I've enabled the setting and disabled again with no luck. I auto reject anything not in my contacts from ringing my phone. you can do the same thing with android call setting of do not disturb for anyone not in your contacts. if not addressed soon, I'll switch over to that feature instead.

I tested DU Caller on my Samsung Galaxy Note4 and I'm so happy that it DOES disconnect the call so it won't go to voicemail. The things I'd like to see improved are being able to decide 'how to block' by individual phone number. Right now, you have to choose one option for ALL calls. It would also be very helpful to be able to add/edit the 'tags' for type of caller.

I have been using this app for about a year now, it works exactly as I need Setting to block all calls not in contact list is an excellent option. blocks all calls not approved by my call list, no spam calls get through. Numbers I don't know leave a voicemail and I can call them back and approve them in my contact list.

Changing my earlier review from 4 stars to 1 star. App is pretty worthless. I downloaded because I really wanted the auto hang up on spam calls, but that feature does not work. As far as identifying calls and spam, they have a very small database, so 90% of calls are not identified, including spam calls. I'm uninstalling.

WOW! Tons of perfect features. First open, knocked me over with all the IDs n #s I had no idea who or where the calls were from. Fell in love with this in the first 2 minutes. Most impressive I've tried. I've tried a lot. Spammers have gotten so sneaky and persistent. Jut the first day. Will update if I find a real problem.

What's the point of having a call blocker if the calls are just going to keep coming through anyway? I know it's possible to make it so the calls never come through. Because Security Master used to have this feature before it was removed due to Google policy reasons. And it never failed. Not once. Please take the time to make this app so that the calls don't keep coming through? Thank you. 😒😒

i really wanted to root for this app. but it repeatedly fails to identify spammers and others. voicemails also seem to be very delayed after installation. apparently theur usa spammer database is insufficient to id them. also the app is weak on collecting that data from me. seems to have an efficient UI. but functionality stinks.

Primarily I was looking for an app to take care of all the robo calls I receive. Unfortunately the 'begins with' feature does not work. Most of my robo calls come from the same area code so I've tried blocking calls that begin with that area code. Those calls still come through. I do like the feature to hang up on blocked numbers. That works well.

It's not bad. Work's well, but two things. 1. It's a data mining zealot. 2. The selection of "tags" to designate to any given caller/phone, is woefully inadequate for practical use. No, not good enough to rate 5 star, almost good enough to rate 4 stars. Action towards the "tag" shelf upgrade, I'd do 4 stars. I doubt I'll ever rate 5 stars. I don't see DU ending it's data mining, practice's.f

So far, this app is working fine. But you guys have really got to clean up the app. it looks really unprofessional to have typos in it. for example, when you report a spam call, the pop-up window reads, "Check your coutribution." I'm pretty sure you mean "contributions."

EDIT : Numbers you want to block with the app need to NOT be in your phone's blocking options (in Android) or they will still be able to leave voicemail. OLD REVIEW : Does not prevent spammers from leaving voice mail even with the option to hang up. Not working, like all the apps that are supposed to block voicemail.

This app seems to have no way to set personal preferences on it. It only opens to show three thing it asks you and nothing else. (Those three things are about a phone call you just received and nothing else.) This app does NOT always show a name for the number that calls me. Usually it only shows a number.

Says it prevents spam from leaving voicemails but it doesn't work. The same spam caller that's been leaving a voicemail every day was able to leave a voicemail after I turned on the new "hang up" feature. I'm assuming this app is just to data mine and sell your data. Uninstalled!

I had the Truecaller app for quite some time, but I deleted it because it would ask me if this number was a business after I hung up the line. I didn't like that it was very much a nuisance to me. But I love this application it doesn't have any of that extra stuff. And best of all there no ads

The block functions your phone comes with just silences the call rings. This app silences and immediately goes to VM or not as an option to just drop. Great app for those who just wants to receive calls from your contacts.

Only blocks calls that I label to block and the blocked calls can still leave voicemail. Says that it ID's callers but almost all the ID shows is the phone number which my caller ID already does. And the search in Google takes me to websites that you have to pay for the information.

This app surely blocks telemarketers (auto rejection, silent ring or hang up no voice mail). It doesn't share your regular contacts only numbers that you tag as telemarketers or spam so it'll be used as red alert data for all unwanted calls. So far it's a very effective app out there. Very easy to operate and not an ads cesspool.

It works like a charm my phone was finally so silent after weeks of crazy person calling my phone back to back changing their number each time I blocked them through my phone settings finally I found this app and finally was able to take my phone off silent and enjoy It blocking his calls automatically and silently for me I still had to manually block the numbers but it was fast and easy to use I just made my list of numbers I wanted blocked it took no time at all and aslo finally no voicemail notifications going off every minute as well (a very big plus!) I would definitely recommend this app to anyone I love it!

It USED to block calls from numbers not on my contacts list, now it doesn't. With it installed, I can't check my voI email. What a shame, you HAD an app that USED TO WORK. Now it's useless.

The app works great most of the time. But, there are still these spam calls that get thru (about 4-5 per week) & messages are left on my voicemail. Other than that, this app is wonderful!!

Best FREE call blocker I've used in a long time. FREE means FREE. Any ads are minimal and don't interfere with the interface. You can block all numbers that begin with a specific area code/prefix and search Google for info about callers WITHOUT HAVING A "PREMIUM" PAID SUBSCRIPTION. To this app's developers: Keep fighting the good fight against robocalls without requiring $$ from users. Well done!

It does "block calls" and sometimes identifies some spam but it lets all the calls through to leave voicemails. I dont wanna hear from these people at all much less hear their irritating voicemails everytime they call. Could someone please make an app that will do this? I have to use my phone's call block too

I have downloaded this app to my last two phones as it's the only app that doesn't make you jump through different apps to see who is calling, record calls and block annoying callers.

Like anything, it has its shortcomings. Fortunately, I do not get many calls from telemarketers or scam artists, but due to this, I have not been able to test this out a great deal.I have given it 5 stars because for the short bit of time I have used it, it has performed admirably.

NO customer support!! Refuses to answer emails about issues!! No longer has Call Record, EVEN THO, it's STILL listed in the information about this app! This "version" of app is a WASTE of space & memory on my phone & is causing problems with my phone! WARNING!! GO ELSEWHERE!
