Duels RPG - Text Adventure

The gameplay is not bad, the combat is its main aspect and it delivers (the responses are a bit fast that kind of enhances the speed of combat ) all the while being challenging. However the fact that you instantly recover from a battle destroys the consequences of being a murderhobo. But I didn't enjoy the non-specialization of my character with the skills and the fact that this doesn't't feel like an adventure but a hub-centred kill/fetch quests. Alternatively the story was intriguing.

This is an amazing text RPG. I like the art and the writing is good. It as a DnD feel about it but it feels rather linear and could use abit more polishing in some departments. I like how challenging it gets as you progress and having to adapt to certain enemies using different setups rather than winning through the whole thing with 1 build. Edit: I'll give it 5* but I'd love it more if it was less linear like if we had option to be evil. I don't like how we're forced into a faction.

Each battle can often be a puzzle. Doesnt really let you optimize a build as you have to change your load out, and there's no save loadout option which is annoying. The game however is very good and a lot of fun with an interesting story.

Why is my save file not working when loaded? What is the purpose of cloud saving when it can't save my game progress in the first place? It just all turns into a black screen. This is the third time that this happened. I kept on restarting from scratch due to this. Frustratingly infuriating. Unfair as it may seem but you being understaffed cannot qualify the bad quality of the game. That was a prompt response though, and out of empathy, I am updating your rating to 2/5. Was fun while it lasted.

Really coming up to a 5 star game, i haven't finished yet but i really like the game so far Edit: 5 stars all the way. Just finished chapter 1, I typically like to rate the game before getting to a certain checkpoint to see whats up. The game is amazing. Great story, gamplay, and a bunch of unique monster so its not that repetitive

i love it! although the stage before you can reach level 11 is difficult and needs great strategy, the game is quite short. please update, thank you!

Yeah, seriously can't even progress in tutorials stage, the fourth one. Have to defeat frost monster. With only one fire spell, meanwhile they have physical immunity.

Infinite replay ability, challenging, great storyline, and offline. I love it and recommend it to any fellow nerd out there. 🖖✌

It's not enjoyable. What is the point of a "role playing game" when you are forced down a path of pokemon-like element puzzles? None, you can't be a wizard, you need to slash your way through like half of the "puzzles." You could say this is similar to D&D, but you have no real freedom of choice, classes, or party to speak of. Don't invite me to your discord server, instead, give players a choice at the start of the game. (first impressions are everything.)

It's a good game. An excellent approach to something different in a RPG. Totally worth the download.

I love the graphics! The skills are varied enough that you dont feel limited, and you can play as just about any class you want, and even switch as often as you like. The quests are sometimes a little much, but you can usually beat them eventually. I do wish the quests on the world map gave you exp though. It would make it a lot easier to get strong enough to beat a tough opponent in the tavern. Overall though, I love it!

Excellent Challenging game. This game is a really fun adventure that requires very precise decision making. Fun story, great characters. I think my only complaint is that there isn't much of an opportunity to grind for certain materials or stats, so often you will be stuck with limited supplies and now way forward if you don't make the exact right set of choices.

Strong concept, great start. Quite a few grammatical errors, which I can overlook for a great game. But I hit level ten and was suddenly unable to beat any of the fights available. Maybe I'm just bad at the combat, but without any way to grind out gold or exp to make myself strong enough to compensate for that for those of us who may not be brilliant combat strategists, the game hits a solid wall. No point in continuing to play now. Pity, as I was genuinely enjoying it.

Very excellent! Truly free to play! The only (minor) complaints I have are: every icon and button is larger than it needs to be. So it looks a little crowded. Having them slightly smaller, are able to be adjusted, would be great. Second, some challenges are not able to be completed anywhere near when they are presented. That's annoying. But it's also rare.

Gist: Play needs more games like this. Pros: Great RPG, clearly a lot of love has gone into it, and it's COMPLETELY free to play. Cons: Despite being great it at times felt repetitive, especially when you'd have to take on different opponents as different people in a row during tavern quests. I also didn't like the heavy skew towards fire magic and the equipment choices/system. There's too much emphasis on fire magic and there are systems that could use some work. Also, a non-game breaking bug.

Oh no! I've finished the game! What do I do with my life now?! I've been doing nothing else in my free time this past week! I like the strategic nature of the gameplay and the inoffensive monetisation (happy to pay for the ad-free version!). The story is engaging & the occasional grammar issues do not impact the understanding. An option to sync progress would be awesome. & while I love the helpful status effect if you're stuck, it would be cool if you could turn that off for an extra challenge!

Great game. It's not pay to win, the opponents grow in difficulty with your character. And if you struggle, you get free help to get further in the story. Many options in character building, although mostly for combat purposes. Not a mindless point and click, you have to think. If you don't like to be interrupted with the modest ads, it's quite cheap to remove them.

One of the best word-based RPGs I have ever played. Well presented. Good Story. Enough art to keep it from feeling like just reading a book. I do think gold should be a little easier to get. And there are many word mistakes (overlooked errors and extra words; doesn't seem like a translating issue. Just needs some proofreading.) Otherwise it's very descriptive and engaging.

Very good game with decent storyline, flexible character progression (skills and traits), and combat that requires thought and strategy. The only issue I have with it is that progress is occasionally halted because your gear isn't good enough. In order to get the required gear, you need to buy the recipe for the item (which is expensive) and then buy all the materials for the gear if you do not have them (which is also expensive). This forces you to watch ads and wait for them to refresh.

Really enjoying the game, can be quite challenging but very rewarding experience. Adam, thanks for the reply. I have found at level 10 I am struggling to pick the right combo to defeat the only quest I can currently play, to the point where I have tried many times and failed, so with no further advancement I am playing it less. I feel with no help I will no longer be able to play. But that game up to that point was faultless. I even love the extra help given after you have failed a quest.

Great game. Story is nice and engaging. This is what really kept me going. Gameplay was a bummer for me. Not a fan of the farming system at all. It even reached a point that I wanted to just uninstall the game. I suggest for better, less time consuming farming quests (not just critter battles and random monsters). It'd also be nice to use skill points for the perks, instead of tomes. It beats the purpose of showing all those perks, if you make it difficult getting them.

Great RPG game. One of the best I've played for mobile. I love the characters and story. I do wish I could purchase more of the items needed for crafting though. After a time many items disappear and can no longer be purchased. I obtained a scroll to craft an axe that I could no longer make because I couldn't make or buy the materials for it. I even tried 50+ animal battles on the map to try and get the items with no luck.

Truthfully, this game is on the edge of being perfect. Unfortunately, the strategies change so drastically from fight to fight. And you can't afford to have items for all. You have to sell everything to buy that one item for the next fight to win just barely. Then use buy back. Money is too slow. The monster difficulty increases too fast. You don't get enough item variety. And you just die a ton. Doesn't make a fun rpg when you need specific items each fight and can't wear a favorite
