It's a very solid dungeon making option. It lays out all the details that a dungeon master would need, including information about doors, traps, and rooms. It doesn't give all the fine details and descriptions on the room, just the most needed information, which I would like to see in a future update. The only other problems I find is that it is only a one story dungeon, and it is a fairly small generation, but this is about the best app I could find
This is exactly what i expected and wanted, also thank you for not having any form of ads (that ive noticed) and a thing that i would like to see in the future is customizing dungeons and monsters aswell as loot as any dm should be able to do. Again thank you for a quality app this has helped me play games on the fly.
It's what it is. it will instantly make a playable dungeon, and you can set some parameters to make it better. Its similar to rolling on the indexes at the back of the DMG, but it takes seconds. I like it.
Super easy to use, some more complex options if you choose. I'm not a fan of scrolling all the way up then down to find what a marker stands for but it's not really a big deal.
It works fine. However it's not the best. My only advice on improving this is allow there to an input field where you can input the size of the battle map that you are copying this map on. This way the generator knows how big to make this dungeon as setting small, medium, large doesn't cut it.
Haven't use it for a campaign yet, but if all you want is to create the layout of a dungeon (rooms, corridor, etc.) its great. The traps seems well ajust too, but the encounter aren't. Got 15 Baboon in a room with less than 10 square inside of it, the only way it would work is if they all came crashing on you as soon as you open the door. But for the grunt work of the dungeon it works well.
The random dungeons are a nice inspiration tool I suppose, but I really feel like the entire app is what should be a side feature. Give me the ability to use the tile set and edit dungeons that I generate, or just build one from scratch. That would make this a 5 star app for DMs.
The app is straightforward and easy to use, but lacks options to set things to specific enviorment, edit rooms, and only has gp for treasure. A solid start though and hope see this app expand to it's full potential.
Still a great application for map making. For those that want "Bigger" maps, for what i do is just make several, and find your own links to make it bigger. My players thought they wpuld never leave the dungeon, least they had a blast with it.
Not that bad for a DM, but there needs to be more customization. If you want a extra room you can't just add it. Thank God it's on paper though. The controls could also be a slight bit bigger.
It's great! Except one slight bug on the treasure generation. It doesn't work right unless you have all the types selected or if you only have one type selected.
Love this little app! Great for when you didn't have time that week to plan anything. Makes the whole dungeon and fill with monsters, treasures and traps. It'd be cool if when it shows the monster for the room if it linked to an srd. . Still love it though.
It's great for generating a random dungeon. I do wish there's a feature to edit the dungeon. The best you can do is export it to a html file and edit it there.
Maps translate really well into Minecraft, I build maps and run mini-campaigns in Minecraft worlds. Even though I prefer to make maps from scratch, sometimes it's hard to think of something.
Great dungeon idea generator. The only thing I wish for at the moment would be allowed to narrow down the monsters to specific ones and set one or more as the Primary residents (ex. goblins as primary/more with worgs, hobgoblins, bugbears as secondary/less) . Expanding on that you could also allow selection of a Boss monster(s) + minions.
nifty little tool. if I ever get into 5th ed, will be very useful. As is, it's also great for any d20 type set up (though you'll have to stat block mobs yourself depending on edition).
No manual editing or creation option available for generated maps. Basically useless, for those who might enjoy customizing, to suit their needs.
it's good if you need help making a dungeon...although I wouldnt go with many of their suggestions when it comes to monsters(11 octopus in a 3x3 room, calamari anyone) or 2 triceratops in a 2x2 room and or traps make you own on that..
Too many rooms that connect to halls. Need more realistic Dungeons, a personal preference. Needs more control on which Monsters are picked. Too generalistic.
I booted this once for a quick look at what it had to offer and i was amazed at the detail they put into the maps and the options i had for a free version
Grate app for when your stuck for an idea for a dnd game, nice easy to read and use. Just to address the review that Nobody left, that says more about your inflexibility as a gm of you only thonl that. Its ment as a tool to aid your game.
This needs a lot of work. For a party of 3 3rd level players on the "Hard" difficulty, it gave me a 10ft by 10ft room with 7 commoners in it. What the heck!? Seriously strange.
You can make bank on the doors alone with these well made maps. Crystal and adamantine! Monsters are a whole other thing though. Seahorses and cats in rooms with crabs and bandits and commoners roaming the halls. Does it's name well, but you're better off filling the dungeons yourself if you don't want your party walking off with seven doors.
great app. simple and complete. you have to determine the característics of the dungeon you want to create
Great app! I'm working on a semi-dungeon crawler game, more of a RPG placed in a labyrinth, and this helps me generate the dungeon layouts pretty well!
The app is great, it also gives more details when generatinf dungeons. I wish you could rename dungeon names so that we can know which dungeon is which.
Alright I guess, except I can't find where the app is exporting the html files to, so I guess I can only access the maps on the app despite exporti g
simple and easy to use perfect, but some editing option might help :) still one of my favorite app!
If you are not concerned about why two elephants and doppelganger are guarding a 30 x 20 that has a chest full of CP and a mithral sword, then go for it. Traps are the best part about this app.
I like the simplicity and ease of use when it comes to the drafting table. However, the description below after the dungeon is drafted is very difficult to read as all the text is crunched together with not enough seperations in the lines, distinguishing one feature from the next becomes a bit of a chore especially for one like myself having a touch of dyslexia, like many. My only suggestion is making the text description easier to read and maybe the option to add natural features
