Duplicate File Remover - Delete Duplicate Files

Love this file remover. Finds files on my android that I didn't know where still in my phone. Gets rid of junk files and duplicate files you probably didn't know where there. Not normally files you would find and clears up a whole lot of memory. Extremely easy to use. No long anoying adds and completely free. Been using in for about 6 months.

Quité good to find and remove if so desired duplicate files on your phone. Worked well for me. On the second scan I did the app got stuck scanning for a very long time. I had to abort the scan, though the app didn't hang, it just appeared to be searching for way too long (20+ minutes). Very useful definitely.

1st, it does not allow to select folders to scan but all of storage devices; 2nd it pre-selects to delete those in SD cards stored correctly but keeps those in caches of app such as Whatsapp, Office, etc; 3rd while listed more than 100 duplicated "groups", it does not allow to select per parent folder tree but user has to select 1 per 1, because of wrong pre-selection, and to repeats.... 100 times; 4th also some popup ads. To use effectively? Painful almost useless. Uninstalled.

boo! it found the duplicates but will not let me delete them. it asks me to CONFIRM my external storage/SD CARD and GRANT PERMISSION to delete but it doesn't seem to respond to any choice. when I click on grant permission it takes me to the RECENT page where there are no files. so I click on the menu button and it wants me to choose where to OPEN FROM. now I'm frustrated cuz this app knows where the files are but it won't accept any folder I choose saying I have to pick the right sd card.

Does as advertised with minimal fuss. I was bloated with files in the trashcan that i couldnt get to. (Consider adding a "trascan" button for faster cleanup.) Found and deleted. Good job. My first 5-star rating.

Does not work, plus when it's supposedly cleaning duplicates a box with "loading" and a spinning circle pops up and doesn't go away. The app said it deleted files but they were still there when I checked and to top it all off it didn't even get the amount of storage on my phone correct and it's report of storage used vastly differed from what my settings show.

I didn't care for the ads that pop up each time you hit one of the options, it showed the ad before it would search for duplicates everytime.

It will scan & delete but it doesn't find anything hardly. It found no extra docs,4 images, 0 videos or audio. which I know better.There are atleast 2 copies of everything because somehow I managed to duplicate everything when transferring from 1 phone to another. You have to scan each category individually.

Sadly, this app worked just as it should, until I actually tried to delete the files that were detected, which failed spectacularly. I thought maybe it was just lagging and taking a long time to delete, but after way more attempts than I should have wasted my time on, the deletion process never finalised one single time. I wish I could write a better review, ideally wanted this app to be all it claimed to be, but it just isn't the case.

App seems good but when deleting individual files it takes u back 2 start a seach again. Also dont mind ads but, your ads kick u out of the searched file selection u r trying delete and with a large file selection to go thru u have to star over and over. When u have alot of files this does not give a good app experience. I have yet to be able to be able to go thru the file selection one time. If u allow to go back to the file selection when closing ads so as 2 c results I would change to 5 stars.

I downloaded this app after a cleaner app deleted all the pictures in my gallery. The only way to revover those images was by downloading them from Facebook. I didn't know how downloading from Facebook worked so I downloaded all the pictures 3 times. I selected files from 6 years, so I ended up with thousands of files. I chose the Duplicate File Remover app because it seemed easy-to-use, it did remove thousands of pictures but I can still see hundreds of triplicated files on my gallery.

Very fast finding duplicates but the elimination process is terrible: extremely slow, no progress indicator, does not prevent screen from dimming and turning off and intrusive ads stop the process. Ran the process 6 times and only managed to delete half of the duplicates found.

Worthless. Difficult to install, exasperating to use and when it finally did operate, it didn't do anything. The very same duplicates were still there after the operation was complete. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a thing for worthless.

I love this app! I tried 3 or 4 others claiming to find duplicate photos, but they fell way short. This app found my duplicates super fast! I recommend this app to anyone wanting to locate duplicate photos, audios, files, etc.

This app scan the dulicate files, photos, documents but no delete. it asks confilm the external excess and also asks for grant permission, when permission is granted then a "Recent" interface open that is quite empty. Therefore I could not delete any duplicate file with the help of this app till now.

This app removed all the duplicate files on the phone. Worked quick and deleted the files only you have to sit through an ad each time you remove files but only 30 seconds or less. I would recommend the app.

Does a very thorough job. Cleaned up my phone and SD card. All file types. Had no idea how much space I've been wasting with 3-4 of some of the same pics or songs. Great app so far. And no ads yet!

I downloaded it a few times. It never worked once. It picks up the duplicates but never deletes them so basically this app does not work at all. Legit, trust me on this one, I try apps all the time and this like a few others , a failure. No idea why it's rated so high.

This actually scans all file types and finds the duplicates & deletes them. Other similar apps say thats what it does but i have to go back in myself becuz i know for a fact that i have duplicates, triplicates and sometimes even more...and find them and have them deleted... time waster! So thank youn

Initial test says this is accurate & easy to use. In fact found some duplicate content missed by a paid app so am questionable whether or not the ongoing paid is necessary of other. Clearly gives option to purchase Ad Free version as well distinguishing paid ad's like the Play Store does. Time will tell...

Doesn't support all document formats (eg ebooks), and doesn't even find identical files of that type when doing a "all other file" search. Worst of all, this type might have the most intrusive and obnoxious ads I've ever seen. Very disappointing.

Totally rubbish. Utter rubbish. After specifically selecting files to remove and those to keep , it doesn't allow the selection of the external storage so that the removal process can execute. It just wasted my time. Total rubbish.

I acutally have 2 different apps to delete duplicate files. After uaing the other one and deleted some seen duplicate files, i still used this app and it discovered even more duplicate files the other app didnt. It was really interesting. Thank you. I give u 4stars.

The app is nice and you can find the similar photos, audios, and other files. At first I thought that it was deleted and was about to celebrate but when I back into homescreen and back again to the app, I saw that was still there.

Please don't download this app...this app has worked good for me only two three times only after that the app has many glitches also it was showing as the files are removed but when I open my gallery those photos are there only they were not at all deleted but it was showing as all files are removed 🥲... iam giving this review after using this app for a week and I need a good app for my gallery now which can actually delete the photos not the one which just shows files are removed🤦‍♂️ fix this

This is a bad joke! I dwnloaded this app. I opened it & it goes straight to another app called file master, instructing u to dwnload that app. So Was wondering what was the purpose of this app? Then x'd out that pop up app ad & got options menu, selected "SCAN photos" & got msg, NO DUPLICATE PHOTOS FOUND! I hav a ton of dup photos in Google photos, & the same photo in the phones Photo gallery, I'm trying 2 avoid me having to find dup pics . Bad app

A dozen apps that was making the similar promises did not work... DFR worked, thanks... The duplicate files are actually displayed, that gives you the visual confirmation unlike others, even, Google's "FILES" can't come close !!!
