I'd say this app is okay, its fast at finding duplicates and I like that it gives you the option to go through each one and check them yourself before deleting them. my few complaints would be that: 1.when you click on an image group and go back it send you back to the top 2. when you want to delete images it is extremely slow and can take hours 3.idk if its happened to others but my images were thrown out of order that i saved them. itd be perfect if those problems were fixed
The app scanned over 4000 photos in less than a minute and found over 400 exact images (not confident enough to use the 'similar' scan yet). It then took a minute to delete all the files so it's work exceptionally well so far. I like the feature where you can review the duplicates before finalising. Can't really fault it so far
It works and that is actually a surprising thing... Most apps like this are just redone clones with the same bad programming; that pick up no difference or doesn't see the duplicates. This app can actually pick up the blurry and compare it to a clear one (:Also somehow not often mistaking similarities as duplicates). I love that it show the image file size. Very useful for my..um bad habits ;^) lol. But really a good program.
I have a LOT of duplicate photos left over. I've changed the settings for how the scan is run and have scanned individual folders as well as the full scan. I still have memes that I copied from one folder to another. And since I installed this app I keep getting a folder of random images in my gallery called Systweak Family and everytime I delete it it comes back.
It didn't work for me. Even when I manually selected the DCIM folder on my micro SD card, it said it found no photos. It may just be an issue with my Xiaomi phone, but I tried an alternative and it worked just as it should. Update on 29th of November 2019. I just tried the updated version and it is now working on my phone. However, it needs more work in my opinion. For example, it only scans the DCIM folder and not any subfolders. If you want to scan a subfolder you need to manually select it.
Usually I don't leave reviews. But this app is so awesome. Must have. You can choose any folder, even on SD card and even with " no media" file in it or folders in the folder. Found all duplicates I needed and let me choose what to delete. Pictures can be different in colors or cropped or resized. Worked as charm!
I deleted the duplicate photos through this app. It said that around 1000+ photos have been deleted but it is still available in the gallery. Even if scan I couldn't get the duplicate photos. Some problem exists with the root directory feature. Couldn't identify how to delete the duplicate photos completely from gallery. Still my problem is not resolved. So update the root directory feature and make it more user friendly to delete the duplicate photos directly without root directory.
This thing works spectacularly! I just purchased a new phone and moving files from my old phones and got so much duplicates. This app finished everything in less than 5 minutes. For people who claims it didn't work, it might be your storage is too slow for it to work efficiently. Thank you so much.
Amazing! I thought I had deleted all of my duplicates, but I had over 500 more! I wish i had found this sooner, it would have saved me hours of manually searching and deleting duplicates. I highly recommend this! Just set to scan "Exact" pictures so you don't accidentally delete something.
Free version. Was great. Now not deleting duplicates at all, just takes you to upgrade page only But the only app that lets you select folder to scan. Which I find essential. I upgraded, small annual payment, but I resent being forced to go premium. So I'm keeping the rating.
Used to work fine (found duplicates & deleted them)… now the app is no longer free: it displays adverts before every function and after finding exact duplicates (scan level = exact) WILL NOT DELETE THEM. Regardless of setting=exact, app shows *similar* matches & when I ask to delete a full-screen advert appears insisting I purchase the premium version. Clearing the advert puts me back at the discovered duplicates. Looks like someone at SYSTWEAK got greedy… or stupid.
Does anyone get why I might want to find dupes? yeah that sounds like a stupid question but, for me, it's so I can keep 3000+ photos organized. OK so maybe you find the files BUT you can't tell me what directory they are in???? HUH? OK so I save storage space, yippee, I prefer to also keep my photos organized. I could be deleting files from a directory where I want them. this is the 6th app that fails to "get it" My only option is to preview each 1 by 1.
Was an awesome app. Now it doesn't work unless you subscribe and pay for it. Deleting. Useless. Someone please explain to me what use this app is now!? To the developer in response to your reply.... the app did not work that way until recently. It was able to remove duplicate files before. It worked great! You just changed it recently to whete it only "helps find duplicate files"
Works for identical pics as far as I can tell, but lowering the setting to find similar pics doesn't work right, it can apparently find 2 completely different, obviously so, pics and group them as similar, but 2 pics edited slightly differently, altho still more or less identical (one a little darker than the other) it can't find, doesn't work fully then, needs some serious work.
AVOID!!! DANGER!!! (Galaxy S9+)Scan worked well, but it took 5-7 seconds to delete per photo. For 300+ duplicates that's useless slow. Not exactly sure what the App is doing. Uninstalled in case it's uploading or mining processor time. Seriously, nothing should chew up that much time on my phone, so suspicious as hell.
Works fairly well at finding similar images, but the author has lately added constant, bothersome ads including for questionable services. Also, you are no longer allowed to delete similar images, only exact duplicates, without having purchased a subscription, though this is very fairly priced.
It's very accurate. The only thing you need is that when you return from the preview image should go back to the point from before the moment, where the last position was the selection of files to delete, and not back to the top of the page. I highly recommend this application.
Update-Junk app: The free app does not delete duplicate files at all! Just takes a very long time to find them, with slow, full-screen animated ads and several errors, but then says only the paid version deletes!
Only this app works as promised, all others that I have tried simply detected thumbnails( because those scans your entire device), but this app lets you select individual folders to scan. It does what it is intended for, huge thanks for the developers.
Initially it worked efficiently. Only thing not understandable why you are asked after a folder scanned and the duplicated photos deleted if it was sure to step back in the menu. 🤔 But accidentally stopped working.
This is the best app that finds duplicate and similar photos. The other apps did not find all the photos and this one did. Bravo. It was also easy to use. One problem: I would like to see the date of the photo when I see its details.
good. fast. accurate. previews. but it asks for delete access permissions on the drive everytime. it also asks if I want to go back everytime which is annoying. fix those and I'll give 5 stars.
pros: it can be made to do what it is designed to do with enough effort cons: deleting duplicates is excruciatingly slow, requires multiple passes to find and delete all duplicates without changing the fuzzy matching setting in between passes
DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP!! even though they put in their description that it "let's you delete duplicates" IT DOES NOT LET YOU DELETE DUPLICATES UNLESS YOU HAVE THE PRO VERSION!! Used to work in free version but now they use intrusive ads that won't let you do anything but see what duplicates you have. This app is now FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
You used to be able to delete your duplicate photos in a few clicks. Now it's a paid feature. It also plays fullscreen ads during its use. Skip this app, it's not worth your time.
Removing similar/duplicate pictures used to be free, now it's not and the actual service didn't get any better. 5 star app to 1 star scam. Plenty of other free apps that do the job just as well. EDIT: I am fully aware that I need to upgrade my version. This, however, is a new "feature" because when I first downloaded this app it was free. I don't know what part of my original comment didn't make that clear to you and honestly after your terrible response I wish I could rate this zero stars.
The only app that detected all duplicates. It is also the fastest app to scan and identify files, and automatically chooses the lower resolutions to be deleted. This is a true gem. Be careful though, some images with variations will be selected as well! Manually go through the files and select the ones to delete.
