DUST

I love the creativity of the Dust shorts, and overall, I like the app, but there are some issues with it that need to be addressed. 1. The app requires you to login every time you use it. TV apps normally log you in and keep you logged in. This isn't a high-security banking app. It's okay to leave me logged in. The app developers even included fingerprint login. Look, I'm not protecting state secrets. Just keep me logged in. 2. The same annoying "you must login each time you open the app" problem exists on the Android TV version, but it's even more annoying because retyping a username and password on a screen keyboard with a remote is a PITA, and there's no quick login action like the fingerprint on phone. Again, there's no reason for this. It's a TV app. The app also doesn't let you use a bluetooth keyboard, even if you have one connected. Yep. You have to type out the username and password with the remote. Every freaking time. 3. Even once I log in on the Android TV version, the app stalls when I click on my profile. It gets stuck with the loading circle permanently spinning. I've reset the app data and cache data so this doesn't seem to be a one time thing. It doesn't happen on the phone or the website. All of this means I have to use the app without a user account on Android TV, which means I can't save a list of videos or do any other customization. If they would back down on the login requirements and fix the profile loading issues, this app would be 5 stars. Right now, it's about 3 1/2.

If you are not familiar with DUST yet, than you are in for an awesome experience. I've been following the independent sci-fi films on YouTube and have been awaiting the app. So, I have a lot of positive things I could say about it. Check it out yourself and see what your missing. As for the app.. it's a great app. All the options one might want for watching the shortsci. My favorite is Other Space series 📺❤️😂

This app has a ridiculous amount of ads. I have it on my Roku tv and the ads are longer than some of the movies. I watch a mini video that was 12 mins long and there was about 13 mins of ads not to mention they played the same ad over and over back to back. It was an alstate ad. I'm uninstalling from all devices.

I've been watching Dust on my smart TV. There are some very good short films to be found here. The acting is decent. The special effects can be movie quality. To me the story matters more the the effects. There a also some feature movies, and popular TV shows available too. Such as Saturn 3, Capricorn 1, Alien Nation the series. I like this app, and I'm looking forward to exploring more of the stories (films) to be told here.

DO NOT INSTALL... PHISHING. Installed the app and watched a movie. App seemed nice at first, BUT... I started getting pop-up's from "google one" but it isn't "google one" because I have that disabled and the setup was wrong for google one. G-1 supposedly "couldn't complete a backup" and needed my info.... my interaction with it indicated it was phishing, and the only new program I installed was this one. UNINSTALLED, and quite disappointed.

Great sifi app. Short films to full length movies I always find something to watch.. ya I'm changing my opinion cus this although is great it won't play on my tablet anymore . ( Not optimized for my device ). So I got to uninstall the app get this fixed and I'll come back .

Discovered on Roku. Subscribed on YouTube. Downloaded the app. If you're into short films and scifi this the place to be. So many different stories while the app has a few documentaries and older scifi shows.

Some great shorts. Some not so great, but there's always the stop button.

If you like Sci-Fi this app should be on your phone. Videos range from a few minutes to full movies. Series too. Easy to use and so much good stuff to view.

Stopped working on Z Fold 2, Android 12 (OneUI 4.0)

with a Samsung Chromebook Pro this app will not work. It crashes on launch every time. I love the Dust channel and the films but the app does not work, for me at least.

Confused, I can't figure out how to cast. Do they really expect us to only watch it on our phones? Why can't I use Chromecast? Very confusing. Downright baffled. Why would they want a barrier in the way like that?

Love this app. I've been a huge fan of them on you tube, now with the app it gives great access to all their content and added material to make it a really great and full app. Keep up the great work.

Just downloaded and noticed there's no option to cast to a chrome cast or smart TV. I could be missing it, but other than that, the app is great!

I used to like this app. But since I was tricked into watching advertisements instead of videos it's an insult. I'm an adult who can decide whether I want to watch an advertisement video or not you should not have to decide that for me. Or trick me into watching it. I'm deleting it now I will never download it again.

Love this better than the OG si-fi show Liquid TV, which is where gems like "Aeon Flux" came from. Keep it up, but maybe less advertisements. 2-3 ads- twice a show (30-60 minutes) one block for less than 29 minutes, three advertisement blocks for over an hour. That would be ideal as a viewer, and SHOULD be enuff for advertisers, but doubt they would agree. Still, you don't want viewers to give up due to commercials. Short attention spans n all.

Ads are on overkill.. I dont need to see 6 minutes of ads twice in a 15 minute short. Ill stick to youtube airings of Dust where i dont have to see ads.

Not enough access to content, for example, more than one full-length feature d film all month would be a start.

Great for watching sci-fi movies, series, and shorts. If you think you seen it all stop and download, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Dust has been a favorite for years with very talented people making some really impressive videos. Videos that make you think by storytellers that know how to get their point across .

The movies are great, but this app is such... Always I play, an error happens and everything stay black

I love this network, but the amount of ads is insufferable and the lack of casting functionality is unfortunate.

DUST is Awesome! I love Science Fiction, Technology, and Fantasy. I like the Diversity and all the different genres.

My favorite Roku app. Very pleased that it is now an android app. If you are a sci fi fan this is as good as it gets.

I started by listening to the podcast and recently found out there's so much more. I love sifi, keep up the good work

I simply love love love this app! I could lie and say I was one of their very first to download this, maybe in the first thousand. LOL If your into SyFy soft or any other way to call it just be glad you found and this not being another lie your going to love it as well. Why are you still reading this download it already!

DUST is awesome app. Suddenly last winter, we already saw Mst3k on DUST, and, of course, we should watch DUST is better than Shudder.

Love this app. Great space videos. Just needs a quick bug fix. Keeps logging me out.
