Duty Wars - WWII

The game in itself is ok. It's not too shabby and it accomplishes what its main goal is. To provide a simple turn based strategy game. But it lacks the execution. Some maps are unbalanced or "wonky". Alongside, the awful tutorial. 1. To capture a building or tile, you need to use a unit other than a motorized one, when on said tile, tap the flag. That's way more informative and less of a type then the online tutorial. It took a few minutes and a bit of frustration to figure that out. Other than that it's a good game.

Short missions, long campaign, all in all, my new favorite game. Some people may find the graphics lacking but if you can get passed it, this is a very addicting game. I don't really play the campaign much, I prefer the freedom of free play against my fiancee or the computer. When I get bored of a map, I simply create my own which is surprisingly simple to do (Even for someone as design challenged as me...). I highly recommend this game.

I really liked this game. The gameplay was very fun and very reminiscent of Civilization in there being multiple units to build. Even that isn't quite accurate though, it really is unique. From dog fights to destroyers to tanks, Jeep's and infantry. I'm surprised at the amount of variety with each unit type too, at least 14 different units in total. There are a few gripes here and there. There isn't a tutorial, so I had to completely guess how a unit worked and what icons meant. I wouldn't have known how to capture structures unless I had read a review ahead of time. Additionally, why are destroyers limited to anti-air roles? Why am I unable to build new structures to match the shift in the battles? Why is there not an online multiplayer feature? While I appreciate the inclusion of hotseat for local multiplayer, it does limit the replayability without the ability to locate others who play the game too. The graphics are pretty basic but, given the theme of the game, I'm sure it's intentional. I actually do like the same models in-game. My new favorite wargame, for sure but not the best it could be. Still given how well it runs and that it's only ~25MB, it'd say it's worth trying.

There is a clear and obvious inspiration from the advance wars Nintendo games. I've think you've done your best in trying to mimic them. The gameplay is very similar with the tile based movement, attacking and supply. The campaign is very fun to play but it will get nearly impossible at the later ends of the game. The few gripes I have with it is how aircraft can't fly over units and ships can't always make their way back to harbor to rearm and refuel. Overall I think it's very enjoyable.

When i attempt to create a map after the add while loading, it kicks me off. Tho ive play'd it in the past and it did work then, even after deleting,swiping,and rebooting, it still didn't work. That's a shame because i was really excited to play it again after searching like 15 minutes. but if it works for you, which it likely will; it's a good game.

While I find the overall concept great and the way it’s executed fantastic, bugs throw me off almost 100% of the time. Days skip uncontrollably and the game crashes frequently. It ruins the game each time so I’m forced to start over. I know it‘s only been released this month but I really think these issues should be addresses immediately.

Absolutely fantastic! I've been looking for a good mobile World War 2 strategy game for a long time, and I believe I have finally found it! The art style and gameplay is simple, but challenging. The AI will keep you on your toes, so be aware! The campaign and maps are very well done and show an acute detail of historical accuracy. The level editor is simple and easy to use. You can quickly have your own map up within the hour. Overall, I love the game! Give it a try! - Luke

i think the graphics are very simple yet nice and easy on the eyes, the controls were a little hard to understand at first so maybe add a tutorial? i like that there was a campaign but also a game you cpyld set, it was very realistic with the different teams along with units, very good job!

Was honestly surprised with how much fun I am having with this game. Feels very much like Advance Wars which I loved! And even though it's free with ads, the ads are very few and don't interrupt gameplay at all. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys turn based strategy games and is looking for a free game to pass the time.

It's a Generally fun game but theres some issues. 1. The Campaign levels are wacky as heck, like theres no spaces to land the troops! because the map is too small. 2. The borfors AA is Useless, Because It only shoots a target if it's in their way so they dont rotate or nothing it's practically useless! 3. The map editor doesnt let you play your maps since I liked made a map for like 2 hours and cant even play it, VERY Dissapointing. I hope you can improve.

I have been waiting almost 3 years for an update, I'm starting to think that the Company is just done with it or something happened that stop the Company, I like the game and I don't want it to see it fade away to forgotten old games and it's really sad about it, Please update or add new units or even fix some bugs.

The game is very fun but there is on problem, WHERE ARE THE CARRIERS! You can't make a WW2 game without carriers cause aircraft carriers were one of the most important parts of WW2. Without them the USA wouldn't be pulled in the war and if they were they would have lost. Also, all of the Pacific war would have been much harder without them. My point is PLEASE add aircraft carriers. But good game overall without the problem of no carriers.

This game is what I've been looking for. I have other favorite strategy games, but none in this style, and that makes this one special. It was a little hard at first, but easy to get the hang of. I definitely recommend it to anyone. Also for people who are wondering, you can play your own maps. You just need to figure out how to, email me if possible (idk how) or email the dev.

ya know, this game has got a fun concept, especially with the customs maps. but when i try to play one of my maps, it doesnt work. i mean when i tried to play, apparently britain wasnt there and britains whole city became white and units disappeared, tgen i got frustrated and deleted the map. could you fix this please? sincerely, random dude.

This game is almost perfect for me "almost"...because the game lacks a thing like when a unit goes empty on fuel it just leave there for the entire game...i wish there is something like disband unit or self destruct button and it makes you refund a little money...and also try to put a difficulty change from easy to hard AI because the game is really frustrating to play when it goes for a really long time...over all i still love this game and i hope there will be more adjustments

Can you fix the Soviet fighter... for some reason, when moved north the plane faces west. It's kinda bothersome to look at, But overall the game is very good. I would love to see more units and Countries please...

The game is great. I love it's map creator mode. A few levels are a bit too difficult. I'm having a problem with Opration Husky. The way the AI acts is odd and I would like it if someone helped me win that level.

it is like polytopia, also why does it show a popup that says 16: ? i am confused because of it but can you awesome devs at nauw studios fix a bug where when you try to add citys/edit a custom map it re-directs you to the home page of your device? (i use a coolpad defiant for gaming, so please let me know if its my device.) PS- D98K

Went from 4 to 2. u need to make more options to D Day. the map needs to be bigger and more spreaded so that the axis take long to get to the landing. troops get wiped to easily. And on map editing when i put an aircraft on the carrier my phone restarts please fix!

It is a very good game, i've build many maps, but the campaign mode is very difficult. I even can't past The Battle of Britain and pls add more units like submarines, more buildings like house and more terrain like barbed wire. That's all and i like this game.

This is an extremely good game, cool maps, the ability to make your own, you can play with bots, the WW2 campaign, with friends, and it's just a fun game that I would recommend. Being a board game style video game, I feel like it's underrated.

This game is amazing, great gameplay, and really enjoyable. Just wish there was multiplayer, and a notification that you could immediately know what was destroyed. A building option in special maps would also be cool, like for 20,000 you can make a factory.

The game is great but i it will need some more work for instance, you can add more countrys like France, Italy and Finland. also can you/ you guys or girls , mixed, also mske it where you can have more than one plane in an aircraft carrier .

I rate it five star, and great game it was like the battle of polytopia, and one thing for a great time I think you can manage somehow to build a fantastic, some like battleships, yamato, bismarck is okay, Iowa, sovetsky soyuz, and battleship Queen elizabeth. Thats all if you can make it :). If not It is okay. other thing also is the destroyers might you can change it with their country type ships also.
